The child has a hundred languages, a hundred hands, a hundred thoughts, a hundred ways of thinking, of playing, of speaking… and a hundred, hundred more.

The TALS Education Program, for children ages 3 – 9, is grounded in the belief that education opens opportunities for children to participate in helping to create and shape their own lives-contributing to the quality of life around them. Creativity, interests, ideas and questions are valued and children are regarded as extremely capable. TALS encourages listening, observing, inquiring, staying attentive and reflecting together. The role of the arts and sciences are valued as languages for thinking, expressing ideas, and communicating stories. Hands on experiences are key to the TALS approach. Children’s enthusiasm and excitement for learning come from making ‘real world’ connections that are personal & meaningful to them. Through play, small group instruction, dialogue, journaling, reflection, documentation, and exploration-the love of learning comes alive in math, science, the arts, language, reading, writing, and technology. TALS on-going commitment to best practice creates a dynamic and welcoming environment and is committed to working in partnership with families to provide a rich and joyful childhood.
