The Learning Tree Preschool and Child Development Center is a N.A.E.Y.C. (National Association for the Education of Young Children) Accredited Center and has been ranked in EXCELS a Level 5 by M.S.D.E. (Maryland State Department of Education). The EXCELS program recognizes programs for their excellence in Early Childhood Education. Our program accepts children from 6 weeks of age to 5 years of age.

We believe that children should spend their day in a bright safe environment which will promote their social, physical, cognitive and emotional growth. Our program is a child centered program which provides developmentally appropriate activities each day. We encourage the child to become independent and to learn how to handle social situations in a positive manner.

We provide an environment of unconditional love and support so that your child can develop a positive image.

History

Established in 1999.

The Learning Tree was established to fulfill the need for childcare in the Annapolis Area by former public school teachers with a combined 30+ years of experience in the public school system. The Learning Tree has a another location in Burtonsville, Maryland which was established in 1994. Prior to that the Director had a 17 child center for ten years.

Cecelia P.

Business Owner

Cecelia is a former teacher with 17 years experience in the public school system and has 30 years of experience in childcare. Cecelia is dedicated to Early Childhood Education and makes sure that The Learning Tree is a leader in child care. Cecelia graduated with a BA from Rowan University (formerly Glassboro State) in New Jersey and has attended graduate classes at Rowan and the University of Maryland.
