Spenard Food Truck Carnival

It’s awesome that Anchorage finally has a place you can go to get your cart fix! Reminds me a bit of my days in «Cartopia» (RIP?) back in SE Portland, although this is more of a family-​friendly affair.
These trucks are located throughout Anchorage, and it can be tricky to find them. But for one day a week, they are all in the same place! (Chilkoot Charlie’s parking lot, y’all)
Every Thursday (not sure if they continue in the winter, we shall see), roughly 5 – 10 food carts/​trucks hang out here and serve everything from gelato to Indian fry bread to breakfast sandwiches.

They also had a dude jammin’ on his guitar and singing, accompainied by some circusy folks doing circusy things.
I will be back, I haven’t eaten at many of these trucks!

The birthplace of the food truck revolution in anchorage!!! Rain or shine this community event is one of a kind!
