I like the idea of my money going to a local home for abused children, i myself spent 10 years in and out of Orangewood, so its nice to see this store much like salvation army/​goodwill only difference is all profits goto the home for abused kids. Its got persihabke items, clothes new and used, furniture items as well. It is very well kept up all utems clealry labeled with prices and organized way better than any goodwill or samvation army ive set foot in. Yes i do agree with other reviews MARKED UP prices on items that would be cheaper to buy at a store whoever is doing pricing should really look at what they are doing for example a bottle of head and shoulders was in a «clearance bucket for 5.99 marked down from 8.99 and i googled it at Walmart for 3.97 Its hit or miss but you can google anything on price hence i say again whoever is pricing items needs to recheck themselves. All and all i will come back and dont mind shopping here for the cause they support and want my money to go somewhere rather than some corporation. Staff was very friendly, they have a «little store» inside the big one which to i foumd pwculicar with hygiene stuff makeups, etc and you have to pay for those items inside that area, but they have many amall items outside the store or aka in the main store of the same so i found this weird too, so i had 2 transactions hence my 3 star review. Improvements can be made to make it more consistent and less confusing on that part so i dont think you can blame the floor employees for that it have to be a management thing to fix.

They overprice worthless items. Most of the staff are nice however there is a few witches.

for years this was my hidden gem… but not until recently did I realize how much they have marked up their pricing. It’s ridiculous! The have retail pricing… the goodwill makes it a point to offer at least a 50% discount. I have mentioned it the cosmetic girl and she swears pricing has always been this high. I can tell she gets annoyed when I mention it… I purchased an epilator at their store about 1 year ago for $ 24 which was a sweet find… I went today and the same exact model epilator was listed at $ 66…I was blown away. Mind you it’s an open box item with 0 warranty. I would rather spend the extra $ 20 to purchase at target which is Brand new in the box and offers a return warranty. Same goes for their Wednesday sale «50%» off makeup… Now they only offer foundation at 50% (which is always ½ off) before it was the entire cosmetic department. Seems like they are trying to score home runs with every sale but they will only end up loosing customers. Even the donations I made recently I noticed in the store were marked higher that what I paid for brand new…
I’m so turned off by this. No more purchases or donations for them.

Remember, when you shop at Eli Home, your purchase dollars are going to support the saving of neglected and abused children. Every dollar you spend there counts. Their prices are reasonable and their service is friendly. I’d shop there every day if I could. I know my money is being put to good use.

Came to check out the store been passing it for quite a bit and finally decided to step in. When I arrived I could not believe some of the prices on these items while they had plenty of items that were inexpensive and open boxed they were still even more items that were overpriced you could find cheaper deals online and sometimes at the actual retail stores where they acquired the items from.
Word of advice for the owners lower your prices and you might actually sell more

I came to purchase sunblock, to keep the pallor of my skin pale of course. This is the cheapest place for good quality, high SPF sunblock.
They also sell rejected food products, cleaning supplies, electronics, medications, clothes, and furniture.
Their pricing methods baffle me. A lot of times their products are more expensive than at Target!

Nice place to pick up some things… And to donate clothes.

I have been shopping at this store since it first opened at its first location, in Orange. At first there were lots of good deals. However, lately their pricing has left me asking myself, why am I wasting my time to drive across town to get here, when Target and Walmart is closer and CHEAPER. I guess I’m a sucker for the cause.
I will say they have good prices for pet supplies, medicines and small household appliances. If your planning a trip you can pick up hotel samples very cheap.
As with any thrift store it will be a hit or a miss, you have to know what you are buying and check the dates on the food, they have lots of food items that have expired or are about to.
On a positive note, the store is very clean and well organized. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They are willing to assist with loading items into your car, if you ask.

A wonderful store to shop at!!! I buy lots of paper goods, cleaning supplies and the occasional furniture purchase for the home. There’s a large clothing selection as well, along with some new items, a cosmetic section that has men’s hygiene products, accessories, and hard to find items. There are also a lot of household cleaning products, pet food and much more. It’s a clean and friendly environment to shop in. I highly recommend stopping by and checking out their daily deals.

I’ve passed this place a few times and finally decided to try it out. Their prices are ridiculuosly high! Only gone here once and will never go back again! Yikes!

I LOVE THIS STORE!!! GREAT PRICES AND GREAT MERCHANDISE! Most Thrift Stores are dirty and unorganized, but the Eli Home Thrift Store is VERY clean and EXTREMELY organized! I continuously find myself coming back there to shop because honestly I save alot of money. They have brand new inexpensive items from Target and other donors and also now FRESH FOOD! They have now started buying their own merchandise as well, so not ALL of the product is donated which helps to have more of a variety of things. The store is HUGE and they even have a new Jewelry, make-​up and hair product section. I truly suggest that you stop by and check out this store… you WONT be disappointed. ALSO all the proceeds of the store go to supporting abused women and children.
So, as for the negative comments that these inconsiderate people are saying, they obviously need to get their information straight and need to look at themselves before they open their mouths because I am pretty sure that the ONLY time they actually put themselves aside and tried to help someone else out who was less fortunate was the day that they purchased items from the Eli Home Thrift Store.

Gone are the days of my previous 5 star review. Greed has taken over this thrift store and prices have skyrocketed. Most if not all items in the store cost more than if you just went to Target and brought it brand new. $ 13.98 for some Tide detergent with a broken cap? Are you fucking kidding me!!! I guess you guys have to pay for your Lexus, Mercedes, and Cadillacs some how. I kid you not, this is the type of vehicles the staff drive at this thrift store. Guess not much money goes towards the charity itself. And by staff I mean the folks in the office, not the folks working the register.
They still have a nice selection of stuff… but you have to come here with a knowledge of pricing or you’ll get ripped off. I still go once a week since I work up the street and I still find a deal once in a great while… but I’m downgrading your greedy asses to two stars. I mean come on… $ 2.99 for some $ 1.99 windshield wiper fluid??? $ 4.98 for a used book that you used to charge 50 cents for… Food items expired in 2009!!! Sheesh… Enjoy your luxury cars.

This place wasn’t good. The clothes here stunk. I felt like i might have contracted lice after leaving here. the clothing selection is very small. i have experienced way better thrift stores. but there is a punk record store near by that is worth checking out if you like that kind of music.
