Super 8 Anaheim Disneyland Drive

I’ve stayed here a couple of times, and definitely recommend it if your on a budget.
What I like about the place:
Cost efficient
Close to everything
10 minute walk to the Disney and Friends tram
Free parking, and easy to park as long as it’s not too late
Fridge/​microwave in room
Quick and easy check in and out
Nice to have but could be better:
Complimentary continental breakfast, not the best but not the worst
Seems like recently updated, but bathrooms need updating
I will definitely be back

Minus one star for a very strong, overpowering fragrance we couldn’t get rid of. And minus one other star for ants around the coffee maker. Water pressure is good and I enjoyed the shower. Bed was comfty. Location was convenient enough to get to and from the parks.

Getting rest for tomorrow !!! Disney all day, i always come to this motel, very clean!!! Friendly service, just across the street to disney, very reasonable price!!! 2 queen beds for $ 100 bucks very good deal!

First time staying here with my husband and girls. Will not do again. First the front desk guy eas rude! Then When we walked into the room it looked decent and clean. But as we settled in, we noticed a roach on the table!!! i immediately went to the desk to tell them. On the other hand they did come up and spray our room. I know this place is cheap and close to disneyland. But really the roach ruined it for me! If there is one… there are more! So all night im thinking is there gonna be roaches crawling on us in the night?? i would definitely pay more to stay in a fancier hotel next time. Oh and then after taking a shower. My daughter and i were barefoot. .and when we crawled into bed we noticed our feet were black from a dirty floor??? Omg double gross! My husband thinks this place is fine for yhe price. But not me!!! If u can… go somewhere else!

This hotel is in a great location — about a 10 minute walk away from Disneyland. There are some shuttles in the area, but why wait? You’ll be walking all day at the park anyway…
The room was clean, comfortable, and well decorated — possibly even recently remodeled. The front desk staff were always friendly and accommodating as well.
There is an outdoor pool and hot tub, and the rooms have a TV, wardrobe, and fridge (no microwave). The free breakfast was typical — waffles, cereal, and packaged pastries. They actually had a worker making the waffles for people which completely alleviated the normal line of families getting 15 waffles to take back to their room. Why don’t more hotels do this?
I would have liked a microwave in the room, but all in all, there isn’t much to complain about. If you are looking for a cheaper place to stay within walking distance to Disney, then this is a great choice.

This place is getting two stars because I thought the beds were comfortable, if it weren’t for those I’d be giving it one star.
Pros: the beds were comfortable, the towels were worn but soft and there was a mini fridge and microwave in the room. The air conditioning/​heater worked well. Walking distance to Disneyland parking and trams.
Cons: The carpet is FILTHY DIRTY!!! The carpet is sticky and will turn your feet and socks black. My feet felt tingly and hot after walking on it bare foot once for about 10 feet. We came back to our room while house keeping was making the beds, the bedding was on the floor on the dirty sticky carpet while they changed the sheets. If your gluten/​carbohydrate sensitive don’t count on finding anything you can eat in their breakfast offerings. The floors and walls are thin. If you don’t want to listen to elephants above you all day and night, ask for a top floor room.
Conclusion… I have gotten far better rooms for less by naming my own price on a popular web site. I’ll stick with them in the future.

I was actually really surprised how nice and comfy this place was. Big room, free breakfast and WiFi. It’s no Ritz but for 89 a night… Not bad.

It’s a budget-​friendly hotel that’s within walking distance to Disneyland. It’s about 15 min walk. This saves you time and money of having to drive and park at the theme parks.
There are many options for food in this area. Cheesecake factory is a few steps away. Theres an awesome shawerma place around the corner called Tanor Mediterranean grill (they open late so its a great option for a quick bite when coming back late at night)
Hotel is old but is kept clean and tidy. Room is basic and clean; it comes with a fridge which is a nice bonus.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
They serve complimentary breakfast between 6−9am, very basic stuff: cereal, mini waffles made fresh in front of you, tea/​coffee, instant oatmeal. Breakfast is very starch heavy, no protein. But its free so can’t complain. There are many good options for food close by if you get tired of the complimentary options. We got tired of the breakfast after two days so we went to Dennys.
Overall, we are satisfied with our stay: great price, good location, friendly staff, free parking/​wifi/​breakfast

This motel was much nicer than I ever expected. Their rooms have recently been refurbished and are better than the pictures we saw on their website.

I wanted to go to Disneyland for my birthday but I was on an extreme budget. After looking around hotels, this was the cheapest place I could find so I decided to stay here. For the money that we spent, it was definitely worth it. My boyfriend asked for extra blankets and towels and they brought it up within 10 minutes.

Is this the nicest hotel around disneyland, definitely not; but for the price it is unbeatable. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

If you want to go to Disneyland and are really, really on a budget… still don’t go here.
Good things: the housekeeping service was on point and the towels and linens were clean and bleachy smelling. The room itself looked and smelled OK. I did find strands of hair on a couple of towels and the bed sheet a few times, but that’s not the end of the world. The front desk kindly gave us the password for the «Premium» (but still crappy) wifi for free when we asked to pay for it. Points us: no bedbugs in our ground floor, parking lot facing room as of ¹⁰⁄₂₀₁₅. I did swat a few flies tho.
So-​So things: The complimentary breakfast consisted of day old donuts, coffee and yogurt, which I realized later was that kind that helps Jamie Lee Curtis poop. Nice for free I guess, or if you enjoy explosive diarrhea at Disneyland later, because who doesn’t?
Bad things: The carpet is the grossest, nastiest carpet I’ve ever experienced. All the stories here on Unilocal are true. We would shower, walk around getting dressed, go to put on socks and our feet were BLACK. White socks became black after a few paces. The carpet LOOKS clean, but it’s not. How much do carpet shampooers cost to rent in Los Angeles? I say rent because clearly they don’t own one. Which seems weird for you know, a hotel. But we made the best of a bad situation, playing «the floor is lava» game the rest of our stay, stepping on towels that we placed strategically and jumping hither and yon. It was ever so much fun!
The bathroom looked like a Russian cold-​war interrogation cell: a dark, unified room with a standing shower, poor ventilation, and black mildew on the $ 5 shower head and the $ 3 shower curtain, which like everyone here says, let water out all over the floor so you could slip on it later.
Don’t stay here, it’s just flat out gross. You can do better.

My family and I stayed here last week. Very clean hotel with overly accommodating staff. It’s a 20 minute walk to Disneyland, but worth it for the price. Rooms are basic but clean. The pool backs right up to the freeway, but we didn’t spend enough time there for it to matter. Overall I would recommend it to anyone and would definitely stay here again.

Disgusting experience! Lots of ant sized roaches covered the counter. When I approached the front desk, there was absolutely no concern for the situation, instead the girl just took the room number. Not a thing was done about pest issue. Never going back!

Just spent 4 nights at this motel while visiting Disneyland. We loved everything about this super 8! It was very clean and spacious and the managment bent over backwards to accommodate us and help any way they could. We are planning to come to Disneyland evey year and we would definitely recommend this motel!

The only thing this place has going for it is its prime location close to the parks. Can’t give any feedback on the complimentary breakfast as I didn’t visit/​eat it. The room is pretty spacious and has a comfortable enough bed, flatscreen, desk and a cool little counter top/​mirror on the shared wall of the closet/​bathroom. The pillows are firm and wide (for lack of better words) so I couldn’t comfortably sleep on them and opted to just sleep with my head flat against the mattress. Watched a little tv on it, but even though it’s a flatscreen it’s not HD TV and one of the channels I watched had screen lines going through it.
I was up late last night since I didn’t have to wake up early and someone upstairs took a shower. The water was really loud. It probably would’ve woken me up if I had been asleep.
When you walk into the room we had, immediately to your left is an open style closet with an ironing board leaning against one wall and racks on both sides to hang clothes. Past this little entry way is the bathroom and it is really tiny. Barely enough room for the door to open without hitting the toilet. A singular sink and the counter top was ok, but had some unexplained clear silicone/​grout near the faucet in a straight line that wasn’t smoothed down or anything. Not a problem, just an eyesore. The shower we meh. Didn’t look like the shower head had been cleaned in a long time. A lot of hard water stains and not all shower head holes worked. The tub mat was very uncomfortable to stand on in the shower. It was textured with hard edges and hurt my feet to stand on. The curtain rod is curved (probably to provide more space in the tiny bathroom) but it extends past the tub easily half a foot so the cheap, flimsy shower curtain hangs over the edge of the tub. Speaking of the shower curtain, it’s a thin, sheet like material that absorbs water (not what a shower curtain should do) and it looked like it was on its last legs. The curtain was torn all over the top where the holes are and just did a poor job overall of keeping the water contained.
The room isn’t capable of being very well lit. The way the lights are set up aren’t optimal. All the lights are on the far end of the room near the window and none are near the opposite wall near the first bed. The closest light source is the lamp above the night stand in the middle of the room but the light just doesn’t travel.
The parking situation is also horrendous. I don’t think they have enough parking spaces to accommodate every room. So when they’re busy you’re kinda shit out of luck and Labor Day weekend is a busy time. We lucked out and found parking, but decided to not even drive to the park today so we could guarantee a parking spot and good thing we did because there weren’t any when we got back. They have a few «check-​in» parking spots and those are always taken by guests parking. There’s a small back parking lot, but I would advise not parking there if you can find a spot up front. There are two lanes to get to and from the back parking lot and so far every night I’ve noticed a car parking in one of the lanes, blocking it. My brother had to leave really early yesterday morning and told me that he saw both lanes blocked by parked cars. If you parked in the back and had to get out, good luck with that! There are also fire lanes in the front parking lot and I haven’t seen them because there are always cars parked in front of them. Seeing the fire lanes always blocked doesn’t make me feel safe about staying here either. Plus who wants that added trouble of worrying about if you’ll find parking and where you’ll park.
Overall, I’d say this isn’t a bad hotel for a SHORT stay if you need the convenience. Just be aware of the cons like parking and fire safety.

This place is actually a pretty good value. The beds aren’t too bad but the pillows are hard as a rock. If you were hoping for a decent breakfast then you came to the wrong place. The connecting doors make it extremely noisy. We had a whole family come in at 11pm who were screaming as well as slamming doors. The free parking is nice and the upgraded wifi. It was worth the price at least.

WHAT A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!
I booked this hotel to be near Disneyland (so we did not have to drive). I get there with my boyfriend (who is in the Navy, stationed in Point Mugu, so we obviously had two cars). Emilia, said there was nothing they could do. Did not offer any help, any condolences, NOTHING.
That is just beyond disrespectful, and terrible customer service. She had no respect, no remorse. Not to mention, no where does it say when booking a reservation that more than one car to a room cannot be accommodated. Not to mention, she said she can cancel it but did not provide any information on receiving refunds and had to spend an hour going through the process of finding how to get one.
I ended up staying at the Quality Inn and Suites located on Manchester, super quick walk to Disney and an amazing/​accommodating hotel staff.
DO NOT STAY HERE, Terrible customer service and will not accommodate.

This place is a dump. My family rented four rooms. My room had a faint bad odor which i got used to quickly. The shower head looked like it hadn’t been cleaned ever. Hairs all over the bed sheets, and just overall very dirty.
My sisters room was the same but smelled like cigarettes even though it was no smoking. The elevator wreaked of Marijuana. My whole family slept on top of the covers.
A neighbor approached us and said she had a Kindle and jewelry stolen. I never leave valuables in a motel room but my dad left his laptop in his room and had no issues.
I’ve always used priceline and had much better experiences. My wife booked directly through Super 8 so the whole family could get rooms together and pay how they please.
Do not stay at this dump! The headache is not worth saving $ 30 a night.

I saw some really bad reviews on this place, and I’d previously stayed at a difficult Super 8 near the airport around Ontario when I was in the area.
I mentioned that I really didn’t want a room with a passage between rooms, as the one in San Diego, where I just had been, was not sealed well, and the next door neighbors were rather loud. I didn’t sleep much. This clerk put me in-​between two rooms that were being cleaned top-​to-​bottom. No next door neighbors at all.
This room was about $ 20 more per night than the room in San Diego, but it’s about 4 times the size. I don’t have to tiptoe my way around the full sized bed. There is a huge pathway to the bathroom. The little table is up front. There is even an electrical outlet close to it, although everything slips out.
The refrigerator is accompanied by a microwave oven, though there is no special furniture for it. I’d rather have the microwave oven than a piece of furniture without it.
The beds are big and the bathroom is nice with the sink outside, so people can get ready separately.
The desk clerk was friendly, efficient, and helpful. Plus, it’s extremely good being able to walk to Disneyland. I took a quick trip down to Garden Grove to Arirang Supermarket to get some food in the food court and there was no big deal getting in or out of the motel.
Update 2015.09.05: I just stayed in another room at this motel in the last week. It wasn’t quite as updated but it was comfortable. The bathtub had some powder in it, apparently from the rather loud fan embedded in the wall. They were fixing the front parking lot during my stay, so everyone had to park behind the building, meaning that there was a tiny bit of extra carrying to do. On the plus side, I could charge things without having to worry about plugs slipping out of the outlets.

MOTEL FROM HELL!
This location is horrible, we arrived pretty late to this location so when we got into the room we went immediately to sleep, the next morning when we woke up we realized there was a condom on the floor, the trash had not been taken out since the last guest. When we went to the front desk to complain the RUDE manager was completely horrible and said all he could give us was 25% back. Not even ten seconds later another guest walks in complaining his room was so dirty his daughter came out of the shower and walk to the bed and saw her feet were pitch black! !! When one of my friends told that guest we had just found a condom in our room the manager cut us off and told us to shutup and leave !!! Worst experience ever, DO NOT COME HERE, THEY’RE RUDE, MEAN AND DIRTY !! not a family friendly place !!
