Quality Inn & Suites Maingate

Very nice hotel, not overpriced, upgraded rooms, we had an awesome jaccuzzi bath tub, just down the street from the maingate, friendly staff. Overall a very nice hotel and perfect for my whole families first trip to Disneyland, i would certainly recommend this place and will be staying here again!

The reason why I give 3 stars is because of the wifi as it was BAD and you need to fix the wifi as I couldn’t do anything with my iPad to do anything. The breakfast was okay and they dont really serve gluten free breakfast as I had to eat yogurt and fruit.
The service and the room was good!
Will go back but please work on your wifi!

Staying here was a big mistake. I’ve had previous negative experiences with Quality in before but this one takes the cake. Walk into the room after the rude customer service told us here our room was, and the first thing we see is dark stains on the bed. After seeing the stains on the bed, we reach to turn on the light and there is a open condom wrapper on the light. Are you kidding me? Disgusting. Then we see on the pillow a dark yellow piss stain, housekeeping is just plain lazy. Will never stay at a quality inn again. Disappointed.

Booked a standard two bedroom hotel .the receptionist was really kind and the amenities in our room was standard. The bathroom was newly renovated and very clean. This is a great place to go if you need sown where cheap to stay throughout your trip to Disneyland. The old reviews scared me. This is by far one of the best newly renovated hotels trying to make a comeback for their bad reviews. Although the distance from the hotel to the park is not accurate you will have to drive to Disney or take the shuttle bus they have available .The price of the hotel was very reasonable and i would recommend this hotel to one of my friends

This is a great place. Clean and friendly staff. Very close to Disneyland theme park. And conveniently located to shopping, and restaurants.

Pros… Great location; decently priced for being so close to Disney; clean rooms; friendly staff; comfy beds; nice sized room (we had 2 queens sized); can see, feel, and hear Disney fireworks from room; free breakfast (didn’t sample any, however)
Cons…SUPER thin walls (bring ear plugs); taking a shower required a near back bend in order to wash hair. I think the shower head is probably at about 5 feet. Certainly not designed for the average adult height.
Overall it was a pleasant experience… thin walls, short shower, and all.

Pros: Good service at the front desk and a relatively close hotel at a good price. Free breakfast.
Cons: it’s really a motel that’s called a hotel, with doors facing the outside. Not in the best part of town. Carpet is very, very dirty. There was a very sharp screw poking out of the wall that our one year old daughter almost walked into.

Pretty great price for this location! Clean rooms and friendly staff. Wifi worked well and they even had HBO along with all the cable channels. It was just weird how we got the room for 109 one day and then they bumped it up to 139 on a Wednesday. Outside of the hotel isn’t very great, small pool but I guess considering its location it’s not bad. Also you have to pay for parking.
One really cool thing is we were able to see the Disney fireworks from our room in the third floor:) (they come on at 9pm daily)

The hotel claims its .2 mile walking distance to the main gate of Disney but there’s a lot of construction and very unsafe to walk at night since there is no walk up traffic. In addition they do not have a shuttle to Disneyland and also charge for parking at their hotel. The distance to the main gate walking is misleading and we should have stayed at another property. Let this be a warning to potential hotel guests looking for hotels to stay at.

Minus one star for the $ 5/​day parking fee, which was not mentioned when we booked with Hotwire (we got this hotel for a STEAL through their secret booking feature). Honestly, the parking is so tight, and so scant that Quality Inn should really be paying us to slide into a spot without hitting another car. If the rest of our stay hadn’t been so nice, I’d take off another star for the $ 6/​day «Resort Fee,» as there is no resort to be enjoyed (unless you count the tiny swimming pool). Does Disneyland get a cut? That’s the only resort I know of in the immediate area.
Having said that, this is a good hotel. During our stay, the staff was super friendly, the continental breakfast was fresh and very generous (make-​your-​own waffle station), and our room was clean and spacious. My husband and I held each other and cried in the lobby when were told that a microwave and fridge were included. In-​room coffee with the usual suspects (two sugars, two creams, two regular-​decaf coffee discs). The free Internet was fast enough to help me and my husband quickly quiet our teething child with Teen Titans Go! on Google Play. Thank God.
Perhaps Quality Inn could add some premium movie channels for all those fees? We ended up watching our Google Play and Netflix due to the lack of offerings on the hotel’s TV lineup. Even Red Roof (which this hotel is comparable to) offers an extensive On Demand TV library (binge watching!), and they don’t charge all these nutty parking or resort fees.
Starbucks is just down the street on Ball Road. Walk to Downtown Disney if you don’t think you have enough challenges in your life. They really shouldn’t call it Maingate (for instance, Ramada Maingate is LITERALLY across the street from Disneyland Park). Would I stay at Quality Inn again? Yes, but only if I could score another deal through Hotwire rather than book with the hotel directly.

The hotel, room, and building was very clean. The room was spotless except the carpet. Usually when you rent a hotel room the carpet is always clean and not dirty. That’s not the case that happened in our room. The floor carpet was filthy, I just happened to look at the bottom of my feet within 5 mins of walking around the room and it was darker than a chalk board.
Now let’s get to the parking area. First of all you have to pay for a parking pass for about $ 5 a day which is that bad besides the fact that the parking lot is so small and by the time we got back from Disney land around 10pm there was no parking whatsoever.
Continental breakfast wasn’t so exciting. All they had was eggs, sausage, muffins, oatmeal, orange juice, water, apple juice, waffles, and some fruits. The dinning area is small so we took our food to the room.
The original room we had reserved online they didn’t have it ready when we check in and they said it would be over the phone a couple of hours before when we called. They said they had just «painted» the room and that its drying so they gave us a smaller room with a jacuzzi which I think wasn’t worth it at all.
Overall it was a good stay very quiet. The bed was comfy and so were the pillows. The room got cold pretty quick. Again I just didn’t like the parking lot area at all.

Before coming to Los Angeles, I stayed at a Quality Inn in Schiller Park, Il and was very disappointed with the service provided. So I was understandably a little worried with the service and condition that would be provided at this Quality Inn. I’m actually very happy to say that I was pleasantly surprised.
This hotel was definitely a very big improvement! The room was very nice and very spacious. My friend and I definitely appreciated the space in the room. The room was very clean although the housekeeping could use a little more training. The housekeeping made the beds and did basic cleaning in the room but left any obvious trash on the tables. Decent enough for me though since I wasn’t asking for too much from the motel.
The man at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, especially so when I asked for an extension on the reservation. He was happy to honor the rate I was already checked in at despite the fact I know rates must have been raised due to Disney’s Diamond Celebration. It was very nice to see a friendly face in customer service; a lot of appreciation to this property for giving their front desk staff good training.
This is certainly a good motel and one I’d consider staying at again if I ever go to Anaheim again.

We booked wheelchair accessible room 104, and would not stay here again. Their accessibility features are lacking. There is a skirt on the front of the sink that is too low to allow wheelchair users to roll up to the sink. The bathroom door opens in such a way as to block the path of a wheelchair. You basically have to roll right up to the window to get around the door. The toilet/​tub area does not allow for a wheelchair to turn around. The toilet is very low, and a standard bowl, not elongated. They did offer a toilet raiser, but those are a pain to use. The shower head is not hand-​held, which makes impossible to shower from a seated position. The rest of the room was great. It was clean and decorated nicely. The beds are comfortable. But, for someone in a wheelchair, accessibility features are the most important factor when it comes to choosing a hotel.

Loved our stay here! For our mini Disney vacay, We booked a two queen room, mid-​week for 3 nights. Paid around $ 80 per night + tax. Parking fee is $ 5 per day (less than others in the area). Continental breakfast was nice and filling, enough to tide us over to lunch. Service was excellent! Came back to a nice, clean room after our long days in the parks. Quiet, safe area. We were on the third floor and had a perfect view of the fireworks! Easy, clean, affordable, we WILL stay here again.
Bonus: there is a market and taqueria two doors down with amazing food. They are open very late and the prices are phenomenal. We fed our family of 5 the tastiest, authentic Mexican food for under $ 15 bucks!

Bending my knees and leaning back as I wash my hair, that’s my memorable experience for this hotel.
This location was recently renovated and a 25 minute walk from Disneyland. It’s not a part of the big group of hotels in front of disneyland but is more off to the side. It’s a three floor walk up but there is an elevator as well. I was a bit worried about not having enclosed hallways and you could easily walk up to our door, but it worked out ok. Parking is free.
First of all, we saw no bugs which was great. The room was spacious and my boyfriend was happy that the bathroom sink and toilet were separate and not altogether in bathroom. The room had mini fridge and microwave. The air con was a bit loud but worked well. The bed was comfortable. This is a family friendly place.
The room did have a funny smell. It was faint and was more prevalent towards the rug (we always kept our slippers on). However, we dealt with it.
The one thing I was frustrated with was that the shower head was at the level for a person who is five feet and was not adjustable. So to wash my hair and really clean myself, I had to slouch and bend my knees. Also the water temperature kept changing, once I got it to where I wanted, it went super cold to freeze me or super hot to scald me. Definitely not a relaxing shower experience.
There was a complimentary breakfast 6:30 am-9:30 am with various pastries, scrambled eggs that were rubbery, biscuits and sausage gravy which was tasty, fruit (apples and oranges), yogurt, cereal, coffee, tea, juices and a make your own waffle station. You could come and get breakfast to the back to your room which we did on the second day. We couldn’t complain for complimentary.
You can also purchase ART shuttle tickets to go to Disneyland too (the hotel is on route 10, the Anaheim Packing District route).
Overall, not a bad place to stay and pretty clean. It also seemed like a decent area, not scary or ghetto. We didn’t want to spend too much since we wanted to spend our money on food and Disneyland. I feel we got what we paid for.

After a slightly bumpy issue pre stay due to
and not the local facility we had a great stay. Very good breakfast, would have loved to see some kind of meat, sausage or bacon, maybe blueberry waffle mix available. Was great to see the Disneyland fireworks from our room. Don’t depend on ART transportation if you have to be somewhere at a certain time as they claim they run every 20 – 30 minutes, but we waited 45 minutes two different times.
We are already planning our next trip to Anaheim and will definitely be looking at this hotel as a prime candidate due to price, quality and location to Disneyland.

This was a great hotel for the value and a good experience overall. I love the new renovations — everything looks updated and clean. The breakfast is a good addition, and there were eggs, biscuits and gravy (you know how I love biscuits and gravy!), among other things. I love when places have actual hot breakfast and not just fruit and cereal. The staff were friendly at check-​in and check-​out. I also liked that the rooms were bigger than a lot of the other hotels nearby. Overall it was a great place to stay near Disneyland at decent prices compared to the many overpriced options nearby!

I travel to Anaheim every month to visit Disneyland for 1 – 3 days per visit. When I choose a hotel, I base my decision on four things:
1. Location
2. Does it feel safe?
3. Cleanliness
4. Price
This hotel met all four criteria for me.
It was very close to the parks. I always drive, but you could walk there in 5 – 10 minutes.
I felt safe upon arrival both in daylight and at night. There weren’t any shady looking people hanging around the property and I wasn’t fearful of parking my car overnight.
The room did not smell bad, the bed and linens were comfortable and clean. Sure, there were a few dusty areas in the corners of the room, and stains on upholstery and carpet but they were minor. Which of us doesn’t have the same in our own homes? Also, I am a healthy person with a strong immune system: I feel confident that the room was not going to make me sick from a few stray hairs. They’ve been through the laundry and washed and dried after all!
Finally, the price was decent. Had a AAA discount.
My observances: the gal who checked me in wasn’t very friendly. She want rude in any way at all, she just seemed distracted. My back window faced an auto mechanic and so the morning was a little noisy with delivery trucks. I was also right next to both the ice machine and the elevator. A few noticeable noises, but the fan drowned it out well enough.
I’ll definitely be a repeat customer. I also liked that there was a Shakeys Pizza and Shell Station nearby.
