Mike’s Smog Test Only

I’ve been coming here for two years now and I’ve never had any issues. Mike is a nice guy and pointed out that the ad I brought in doesn’t include the $ 8.25 charge just so that I wouldn’t be surprised later. Work is done quick and I’m out fast.

Test techician, Dong Hyun Kim (lic# EO632359) is a young arrogant, obnoxious, poor customer service Asian punk, who suddenly pretends to understand limited ENGLISH if problems arise. He charged my credit card for the full testfee which included the state test cert, even though car failed inspection. Price he advertised and confirmed for me INCLUDED $ 8.25 cost of test cert so that should have been deducted upon failure (since one could not be issued.) Advertised price had INCLUDED cost of cert, which he confirmed in person. After being questioned about that and caught in his scam, he refunded fee, but then jacked up retest price by $ 18 over previous price he had written up in contract. When I disputed his tactics, he gave me the finger and told me to get out.
This guy also was poorly informed on car configurations, as he ended up entering a designation of ‘TAMPERED’ on the visual inspection of the report forwarded to the DMV because he was not familiar with an aftermarket air cleaner (K&N) and erroneously considered it part of the PCV polution system! (Despite OEM sticker undehood which clearly identified all components and plumbing of emissions system. This guy is UNQUALIFIED, NOT KNOWLEDGABLE AND a SCAMMER
THIS BUSINESS IS A SCAM. DON’T BE TAKEN IN BY THEIR ADVERTISED LOWER PRICE. BEWARE. I’VE ALREADY FILED A COMPLAINT WITH AUTOMOTIVE BUREAU AGAINST BUSINESS AND TECH.

I stopped by this smog check station last week.
The owner, Mike was so kind and very helpful for me. He explained everything about smog check and car condition. I will be back next time.

this guy scammed me!!! he knew that if your check engine light is on in your, that is an automatic fail for a smog test, and he still took my money. i did not find that info out until after i left the shop. please do not go to him, and then he wanted me to go to one of the mechanics in the area (which they are probably in cahoots together)…i don’t think so!!!
