B & A towing

Horrible. Some time early in June, My steering wheel of my car would not turn so I had to call the emergency hot line. I spoke to the lady and she said she’ll dispatch someone and that it would take 20 minutes. This was at 7:00 am and 45 minutes have gone by. I called the emergency hot line again and the same lady picked up the phone and said the guy was on his way and that I should wait 20 more minutes. I don’t blame the lady. I blamed the dude that promised to show up at a certain time but he didn’t. Turns out I had to wait 2.5 hours just for him to show up!!! I could have called a different towing company myself and could have found someone more competent and responsible. when he finally showed up I was so relieved. The only problem was, his phone was dead so he said he couldn’t use his gps… Note that I had to reschedule four times with the auto shop because of his inability to show up on time and to add on top, he didn’t have his GPS. Can it get any worse? Well yes. After he towed my car, he asked me for my phone so he can call his boss (Tim) to charge me. It came out to be $ 200 just for a four mile drive! I asked for an invoice but he said I needed to pay him first. He wouldn’t give me an invoice or unhook my car unless I paid $ 200. At this point I just wanted to get this over with and move on because I was already late for work. He swiped my credit card and left. Anyways! He never gave me an invoice and he ignored all my calls and texts. Soooo I decided to speak with someone from the billing department and the lady said it should have been $ 100. Well folks, I have been scammed. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL cost. I even called the boss (Tim) and it seemed like he didn’t want to talk to me. He said he’ll give me a refund just so he can hang up on me. He told me to call the next morning but he never answered any of my calls or texts the next morning and never since!

Never use this towing company. They are nothing but crooks. The woman who answers will give you a max total fee and the people who come and assist you will charge you double. I was told a tow from my destination (25miles) and back would be 315 max and the asshole tried to charge me 415. That’s bullshit. They will tell you oh let me call my boss. Asked if we could speak to the boss the guy never let us. Nothing but terrible service. Trust me you can find better service then this place. They should be shut down for their terrible service and lying about prices. They ask for your card info prior to the tow, don’t bother they will most likely charge you if you refuse to pay. crooks. If I could give this place no stars If I could. Don’t be fooled by them. They say they care about their customer service that is BULLSHIT. Take a look at all the reviews of terrible service on this page. I guarantee I posted how terrible this «company» is on all my social media sites to guarantee no one goes threw them. Because they rob you of your money at your most vulnerable time. I hope your family owned business closes due to no business. Piece of shit company.

Called for a flat tire. She said $ 49 on the phone. When the driver came and changed the tire he charged me $ 189 and said it was because it’s Memorial Day. I’m sorry I had an emergency on a holiday, thanks for taking advantage. Crooks.

Stay away. Not only that they bait and switch, the owner will actually threaten you if you disagree.
I was quoted $ 240 max to tow, came out to $ 320. Their explanation was «special equipment» which turns out to be 2 pieces of wood. I was not told the price before the charge.
I just got off the phone with Augustine (the manager, after 4 previous calls), and he gave me a barrage of expletives because I was asking why I was overcharged. Eventually, I told him I would leave bad reviews for him because of his business practices and he said «fuck you, I have your information, I’ll do worse to you than the reviews you’re going to leave me.»
Wow, what a way to do business.

Do not use this tow service! I repeat do not use B & A Towing. About a month ago I got my Hyundai Equus towed just two blocks to my house and ended up with $ 2000 with of damage. The technician that was sent out was completely incompetent and because of that my car is still in the shop a month later getting fixed!
The technician incorrectly towed my car resulting in a air suspension computer de-​calibration. The morning after they towed my car the front suspension was so low it was not drive-​able, The front of the car was so low it was almost resting on the tires! The next day I had the car towed by Hyundai and they asked if it was lowered and I said no, then they asked how B&A towed my vehicle and I told them that they used back winches and they knew right away that was the problem because they knew specifically not to use that technique.
Their management and customer service is extremely poor, I have been trying to contact them for a week now and have been hung up on and given wrong numbers for their mangers and boss.
To B&A Please advise, and to future customers understand that towing your vehicle here is a risky situation!

I originally called Kennedy Bros. Towing in Fullerton because the reviews were pretty good. I sustained a flat tire in Fullerton, and figured they were the closest to me and would have a pretty fast response time. About 10 minutes after I called Kennedy Bros (8AM), I received a call from B & A Towing informing me the technician was on his way, but was stuck in traffic. Ultimately, I waited for 2 hours for someone to show up. During those 2 hours, I called Kennedy Bros numerous times only to be told the technician was on his way. I also called B & A, who told me at one point that the driver had seen me and was just on the other block turning the truck around. I didn’t believe this one bit as I was standing outside the whole time, but gave him the benefit of the doubt. 30 minutes later, still nobody. When the driver finally showed, I asked him about the long wait. He had no idea what I was talking about. He said there must have been another driver who had a problem so he was called. After those 2 hours, I was charged $ 160 for a 10 minute tire change. Kennedy Bros had given me an estimate of $ 80. I understand estimates are not exact, but double the estimate? That’s ridiculous. I called to complain this about this charge (which I was not informed of until I received my receipt), and spoke to a Tim who said he would call back. He did not. I called again, he said he was working on it. Didn’t hear from him again. Horrible service. Had I known Kennedy Bros was sending me this company, I would not have used their services.

If I could give a zero, I would. Called for road side assistance never came. Waited for almost 2 hours, gave them a call and asked for their ETA, they said they were 10 minutes away. LIES, we waited longer than 10 minutes for sure! They finally come after we decided to leave the car at its location and decided to take care of it tomorrow morning because it was just getting too late. I can’t believe I was patient enough to wait to 2 hours!

My transmission went out in Diamond Bar. Called for a tow, no big deal. An hour later, driver shows up. Took him a while to hook it up but still no big deal. Asked him the price as soon as we get in. Mumbled 75 then said he was going to ask «her». Driver got lost somehow, ended up on residential streets. Driver, talking & texting the whole time, shows me his phone showing $ 350. Jumped on the phone to compare really quick. Minute later I get one for 70 freaking dollars and a dispatcher saying it’s more than double and to have him drop me now. Driver says $ 120 then says $ 150 because we’re 10 miles. We went 3 freaking miles, from 2709 Diamond Bar Blvd to AmPm on Nogales & 60 frwy! I can’t wait to see what formal complaints I can file against this business

Charged me $ 134.00 for a jump start. Outrageous. They wanted $ 150.00 but I called and the «manager» supposedly came down to $ 134.00. Very disappointed and will never use them again.

I made the mistake of calling a towing broker, to begin with, which placed the call to this company. The broker told me I’d be hearing from the driver in 15 – 20 minutes, so I waited 30 minutes before calling back. Then called again. And again. Finally heard from someone who might have been an actual dispatcher, who told me I’d be hearing from the driver in a few minutes. Waited. Waited some more. Finally heard from the driver, who said he was only a couple of miles away. Who also, after being told I was at the Costco gas station, drove between the Albertson’s and the 24-​Hour Fitness, then cruised the 24-​Hour Fitness parking lot until I told him to look for the Home Depot. Over an hour between my original call and having to hunt the driver down circling the parking lot. I was then charged $ 175 for a tow of less than a quarter mile, from the Lakewood Costco gas station to the Goodyear facility LESS THAN A QUARTER OF A MILE AWAY. Yes, that’s One Hundred Seventy-​Five Dollars. For a quarter mile. Major rip-​off, and there is no way I can recommend this «service» to anyone, unless you like being ripped off. If my Astro weren’t so heavy, I could have pushed the damned thing to the Goodyear, it was that damned close. Absolutely disgusted with this excuse for a «service.» Absolutely disgusted with the outrageous fee I was charged for this excuse for a «service.»

Got stuck and Jim from B & A towing came to my rescue. Great service!

Very happy with their service. I called them after an accident and they got there right away, saved me big bucks.

I was dispatched to B&A through a roadside service called Green Towing of Orange. I didn’t have roadside service on my auto policy (that changed tonight) and needed a jump because I left my lights on. Anyway I was promised they’d arrive within 30 minutes. Well, two hours later they arrive, first to the plaza next to where I was actually located (even though they were given the name of the place my vehicle was parked). No big deal, at this point I was just happy they had finally arrived. So I pop my hood open, hook up the latch and the guy ‘Tim’ attaches the cables, I start my vehicle and all in 40 seconds the jump is complete. Time to pay for the services. I said that I wld be paying by CC. Tim says it might be better to pay in cash because they charge a fee, I remembered that I had 50 bucks on me, so thinking the jump start wouldn’t cost more than 40 bucks max, I asked how much it’ll be; I’ll pay in cash. Brace yourselves… He tells me the cost to jump start my vehicle is 120.00!!! WTF!!! You mean to tell me it cost your company, maybe, .25cents on fuel to drive from Anaheim to Orange and took 40 seconds of your time (they wasted more of my time by having me wait almost two hours & then having to explain to Tim that my vehicle was still parked at the location I originally told him it was parked after he entered the wrong plaza and I had to explain to him how to get to me when I was, at that point, just 50 ft away from him. how do you miss a red truck in an empty lot??) to do part of a job that I helped you complete??? Where is the justification in that? So, I explain to ‘Tim’ that another tow charged me $ 35 to perform the same job and auto zone does it for free. He then lies and tells me its what the roadside company charges not him. I said I would call them, he insists that he would. So he ‘so called’ calls them and says they will do it for $ 100. No way, I’ll call. The dispatcher informs me it is in fact B&A’s prices. So ‘Tim’ lied. What an unethical sack of trash and what robbery to charge people 120 bucks to jump start a car. BTW, he brought his father along for the ride, this old guy just sitting in the passenger seat, how unprofessional?
Moral of the story, get roadside service, verify prices to avoid sharks like B &A, and never use B&A Tow services. Geesh, if a measly jump start is 120 bucks, I don’t want to imagine what a tow service would cost anyone, what,$ 400?
Unethical. Dishonest. Obviously only cares about getting customers and not keeping customers.

I had a great experience with B & A Towing, great prompt service and timely! They were competitive in their pricing as well and i would recommend them their services to friends and family.

Great service, very responsive with communication. Got my car to my mechanic. And am grateful they were able to come out on a sunday night to remove my car, for cheaper than the street sweeping ticket i would have recieved monday morning.. thank you B&A Towing

This company has the best service I really recommend them to anybody that needs a tow or any roadside service!!!
