I am always losing keys, not my keys, but the hubsters. I have been here multiple times over the years. Once when I misplaced my husbands only car key. They made a magical copy no problem. Luckily I found the keys a few months later.
Used them again when I had to change our area locks when someone stole our car that I lost the key to and the house keys were in it. This one was not my fault. They made a house call for this one. And we got the car back a few days later.
Again when I snapped a storage unit key in half. The only storage unit key we had. Okay that was not my fault. I wasn’t even the last one to use the key. When I stuck it in, the lock was super tight, then POP the key snapped right in half. Luckily I have a tool set in the car and used my needle nose to gently pull the key out. And luckily it was a clean break. I brought them the tip of my broken key and BAM, just like that… a new key. And it actually worked.
This place is super tiny. Located at Dale and Lincoln. Guys here are super cool and they can unlock anything and make keys at cheap prices. My key was about $ 3.00 and some change. In and out in minutes.

Does laser key cutting for Honda keys, cheapest estimate I found, and the key looks exactly like OEM cut; no jagged edges, or noticeable differences between original and copy. Made my old messed up Honda Key and turned it into a Flip Key for a fraction of the cost thanks to Area Lock & Safe. Now my friends will be coming here any time they want a key cut

My key snapped off the fob for my KIA soul. KIA wanted $ 100+ to replace the key and fob. There was nothing wrong with the fob. Area Lock was able to clone the key for under $ 5! Works like a charm.

Very helpful! I had to get some keys made for our new house and they were able to make the keys right away. One of the keys was the original key from 1928 and there were some quirks that they easily managed. Gladly come back!

They even told me a tip that doesn’t cost me any money. ON how to stash a key on your car for when you go surfing or cuz you need to stash a key on your car so you don’t get locked out or something.
My car had a custom paint job. where they inserted a protector to keep the paint from getting in it. Ron for free took it out and even double checked to make sure my key worked.
when it was not smooth he sprayed magic lock stuff and it works like a charm.

The service was excellent they charged a little high for 2keys thst did not need chip in them but they also drove to me so 5 stars for them. Excellent customer service.

This is the best priced locksmith that I have called/​surveyed to cut my car key. My Lexus RX key broke from the base so I ordered the uncut key/​shell from Amazon to save money as I still have the computer chip in good working condition. All of the 5 locksmiths that I called including Ace Hardware stores would not cut the key unless I buy the key/​shell from them which would have cost me over $ 150. I told them that I already have the uncut key and there’s no need to program the key because all I have to do is have them cut the key and I could just transfer the computer chip to the new key/shell…but all of them refused to just cut the key… then I found Area Lock & Safe thru Unilocal and they quoted me $ 20 for the labor to cut the key! I was wary because it seemed to good to be true after all of the high quotes I got from the other locksmiths. So I went there after work and they cut my key while I waited. Ron (not sure if he’s the owner) even suggested that we try the key to make sure it works before I leave… and the key worked! :) Now, that’s great service! Here’s the clincher — they even stopped me while I was leaving the parking lot to give me my receipt! — for me, that’s another sign of a reputable business. :)

I bought a used car… it only came with one key.
I called around to get an estimate for a copy of the key… the dealership told me $ 93…David’s Auto Repair & Locksmith told me it would be between $ 147 and $ 289…seriously…so I called — –Area Lock & Safe, Anaheim — -they charged me $ 32.40 tax included… NEED I SAY MORE!

Awesome and professional! Had an ignition lock cylinder that was stuck and they helped me get it out. I almost had to beg them to take my money! Great shop and very knowledgable. I drove past 5 other places to do business here.

Called a regular lock smith to get a lock replaced on my truck tool box and was quoted from $ 80-​$ 120. Came here and he only charged me for my key. I love businesses that are loyal and honest.

We must have driven by Area Lock and Safe a hundred times on our way to OCBC or Rancho Alamitos High but never noticed it. They are open until 2 PM on Saturdays and we needed a laser key cut. In and out in 10 minutes after a perfect cut and after checking to make sure it all worked. Pleasant and efficient. They also have older reclaimed indoor bedroom and bathroom door knobs for sale. These are ones they don’t make anymore but came with your home if built in the 60’s or 70’s. They come in handy instead of replacing every knob to match. Thanks for your help!

I stopped here at a last resort to find a specific piece of hardware for a lock I was replacing. I knew of this place, but had never stopped here. They found this part for me, traded me hardware, and Ron was so amazingly nice and helpful during the whole process. We shared memories of the area and it overall reminded me how business should be done. I will come back here 100% of the time if I need a locksmith in the future.

I came here to get some copies of keys made. I needed 6 keys total and I was out in under 10 minutes, for only $ 12. It’s a pretty small place right on Dale. it’s easy to pass by if you’re not looking for it. The guy that helped me seemed very knowledgeable about all things related to doorknobs and keys. They sell safes, doorknobs, and locks and also provide locksmith services for all of Orange County.
