For the location at its cost, the room was clean, and everything in it worked. Had a fridge and microwave, but could have used a coffee maker. Wi-​fi in room was unusable, but I already knew that from other Unilocal reviews.

This could have been a great review, but no. We stayed on the ground floor in front of the brightest high beam headlights known to man. At 2 this morning I was pretty positive we were being raptured with the rumbling and bright lights.
When you’re two days in to walking 30+ miles, not really okay. So we left. I didn’t ask about a refund but the ladies at the desk, on their phones, we’re kind enough to take a break and inform me that the manager decides who gets a refund. So buyer beware…

The beds weren’t bad and the water was hot. Other than that it was a miss for me. The rooms are super outdated except for the chairs, shutters, and the vinyl wood flooring. The main door had such a large gap around it that you could see light coming through. The tub stop did work which can make bathing kids hard. The outlets wouldn’t hold my plugs and they just fell out of the outlet with the tiniest movement. The tv is outdated and the the 1980s art was screwed to the wall. The wallpaper was bubbling and peeling and the shower wall was cracked. Our AC unit was protruding from the wall at eye level and was duct taped together and the vents were taped upwards with clear tape. The threshold above the door to the bathroom had mildew or something and the toilet seat had worn through the paint to the wood. Even though it is only a few blocks from Disneyland, I would not come back.

The hotel room they gave me was perfect. I received a room that overlooked the Disney California /​hotels. The room was pretty awesome. Everything you can expect from a hotel room. The fridge and microwave satisfied my midnight nacho craving. The walk from Disney land took about 15 mins (we cut through the grand hotel). I guess I was given an updated room since majority of the Unilocalers say their room was out of date.
I initially gave this hotel 5 stars. But the after I wrote this review both me and partner were covered in bed bug bites.

My boyfriend and I recently took a trip to Disneyland, and opted to stay here instead of our usual hotel. It was a few dollars cheaper and it was a short walk to the park! We figured it would be fine– there was a mix of negative and positive reviews, but nothing too terrible, so we gave it a shot. Knowing what I know now, I probably would have stayed elsewhere.
I had booked the hotel months in advance and made sure to request a newly remodeled room upon booking (since a lot of the negative reviews were regarding their older, un-​remodeled rooms). I called on our way to the hotel to confirm and they didn’t have any available, even though it had been confirmed at least a month ago. The nice girl at the front desk was willing to move us on our second day– perfectly fine. When we checked in, the late night check in guy was friendly and very accommodating! One star is for the fantastic service we encountered while we were there.
By 8AM on our first day there, we’d slept only a few hours. You can hear everything in this hotel! Apparently, other guests aren’t aware that some people need to sleep before a big day at the park, and decide to stomp around and allow their children to scream and shout everything, even at 1AM. At 7AM, the phone in our room rang, and I answered it to have some guy shouting at me in Spanish… what in the hell is going on?! We exchanged some expletives and I hung up and attempted to go back to sleep. Shortly after, a family is yelling (also in Spanish) right outside our door, and their child is running up and down the hall, banging on doors. Someone outside is yelling and honking their horn repeatedly. No more sleep for us. Instead, we got out of bed and got ready to hit up the park. Thankfully, our remodeled room was ready when I checked with the front desk (again, fantastic service from the same girl that helped me on the phone the night before) so we were able to move all of our stuff before heading out to the park. +Another star!
The rooms were nice. The older room was clean and slightly more spacious with tons of counter space in the restroom, but it had a terrible outdated TV and really bad lighting. The bed was not comfortable, kind of hard and caved in towards the center. The new room was obviously updated with a flatscreen television and newer lighting fixtures, but it was much smaller, with a much smaller bathroom and the door to the bathroom didn’t close all the way. We were on the bottom floor sort of in a corner, so the noise problem had improved… but only slightly. You can still hear everything– every door being closed, every faucet being ran. This is definitely not the spot for light sleepers.
The parking is also sort of an issue. Friday and Saturday night, we couldn’t find ONE spot. Sunday night, it cleared out a little bit more, and we were able to squeeze in somewhere.
Overall, the location of the hotel is prime. You can walk to several eating places open late, and the walk to the park is 10 minutes through the Grand Californian and Downtown Disney. The people that work there are friendly and helpful and accommodating, something you don’t get everywhere! Unfortunately, with is being an older, larger hotel, you’ll face some problems– noise and parking to be specific. If you can deal with those things, this hotel came at a decent rate, and provided us a place to rest our heads at the end of the day!

I was really nervous on the way to this inn… Reading all the negative reviews made me almost cancel our reservation! I however called ahead and request to have a renovated room and that’s what we got! The renovations aren’t perfect but it was nice and clean. The room was simple, no closet or iron but there was a microwave and mini fridge! I would stay here again!

This hotel, or at least the room we stayed in, is definitely in need of an update. As we were leaving we noticed there was no vacancy for this entire weekend. Can’t the owners free up some $$ for a couple coats of paint?
BUT, other than the look of the room, it was fine. I wasn’t expecting a lot, honestly. I researched A LOT of hotels before I booked this one. It’s one of the closest to the park if you cut through the Californian, and the cheapest as far as I could tell. It’s also right next to a little store if you don’t want to spend $ 4 for a water at Disneyland, and a frozen yogurt shop that has awesome frozen drinks. Additionally, and it may seem kind of trashy to some, but all the restaurants in the area deliver to the hotel. We had some pretty delicious Mexican food delivered to us after a long day at Disney. It was pretty nice.
The staff was also really nice. The chambermaids were super accommodating to my fiancé and I’s weird schedule, where some days we were there until 4:00 and some days we got back at 4:00. Very friendly. And we loved the shower. The water pressure was really nice. The shower itself was a tad grungy, but no pubes or roaches so we were okay with it.
My ONLY big gripe with this hotel is the bed. The bed is awful. My fiancé and I would start sleeping on either side of the bed and would wake up in the middle. The sides are literally sloped. It’s also really creaky and loud and just… not good. I feel bad for the next person/​persons that has to sleep in it. 225 room stayers, good luck.
We stayed for five nights and would stay again.

Please dont stay here !! Me and my husband got bit my bedbugs ! The blanket has holes from cigarette ! The front desk they’re rude ! The bathroom has molds !

Let me start by saying I have stayed in WAY better but also have stayed in WAY worse.
The staff was very friendly, accommodated anything we needed, as to parking before we checked in to helping us hook up the fridge and microwave. They were timely and efficient. This I would give 5 stars.
The room was pretty good for the we paid ($ 115 per night). I would highly suggest with the money they make in one nights rents they should spend a little on updating their rooms. The floors are nice as they are look-​a-​like hardwood which I loved but the bathroom was very grungy and outdated, made me feel like I was in a suburb motel 6.
All in all great location to Disneyland and with the amount of time spent in the room I literally could care less. lol

HORRIBLE! If I could give this place 0 stars I would!
It all started the night before I checked in (²⁄₁₂). I called at about 4pm-​7pm and NO answer. Finally I called the other number that’s listed as an 800 number, finally I got through. I asked if there is any available check ins for the morning. Dulce said there wasn’t. Then I proceeded to tell her I’ve been trying to call the 714 number & wondering why it wasn’t working. Dulces response «umm yeah it’s working» in the rudest voice.
²⁄₁₃ after traveling for 5 hours we arrived to check in at 3pm and was relieved to finally get some rest. Welllll that didn’t happen it was a nightmare!!! Again Dulce the girl that was «helping» us check in was very rude & not polite. Had a hard time getting her to send an email to get a credit card number and ID. Not helpful at all! Finally get all the paperwork done. Got our keys to room 223… HORRIBLE & DISGUSTING ROOM!!! I felt VERY UNSAFE!!! The door knob to a conjoined room was about to fall off! The shower was gross! And so were all the walls in the room. Also no screen on the bathroom shower window and when I looked down there was a couch that looked like someone was sleeping on it!!! We called her to have maintenance come fix the door knob & put a screen on the window, took him 55 min to show up & still didn’t fix it but he did ask us if we wanted a new room I just said no sorry I don’t feel safe I just want my refund back. Also across from our room was disgusting!!! Honestly I don’t recommend this «hotel» to anyone!!!
My only GOOD review will be about carina when I told her everything that happened she was very apologetic and actually refunded me for the last night and gave me 20% off the first night since it couldn’t be refunded. We still didn’t stay. If it wasn’t for her help we wouldn’t of got a refund at all

I booked TWO rooms and both were completely different. I had rooms 128 and 129
lets begin with room 128
Nice hard wood floors
fresh paint
updated bathroom
the heater worked well
fridge and microwave worked as well
if this was my only room I would have given this place 5 Stars its close to the park and a nice walk down the street it only took about 10mins
Room 129
this room was partially updated
hardwood floors were installed but some of the floor was lifted and peeling
paint in the bathroom was missing and chipped
the bathroom was super small and the shower was stained
the ceiling in the shower looked like it was patched and needed another paint job
the room walls still had old wall paper and really looked like it needed an update
the heater did not work in the room
there was a gap underneath the front door which you could clearly see outside from
I would give this room 2 – 3 stars the price of the room wasn’t bad just needs a little more work done and I would have no problem giving this place 5 stars
I can tell they are remodeling rooms but it would be nice to finish them completely before booking them to guest
if you have a large car parking can be a little tough parking spaces are very small
I would definitely ask for room 128 you wont be disappointed .

I know you get what you pay for and with the price being inexpensive I didn’t have high expectations. I just wanted a place close to Disneyland to shower and sleep in. The Alamo inn was below my expectations though. I’ve stayed at other inexpensive hotels around Disneyland and they have been better than this. The room was old and not clean. There were stains all over the chairs and the bedding in the room. The fake wood floor was peeling up and had a hole in it. The paint was peeling off the walls. The toilet seat was disgusting and needed to be replaced. At night there was a cockroaches running across the walls. This is definitely not a place that I would ever stay at again.

Unfortunately, we did not get an updated room, so I was taken aback when I first saw the condition of the walls in this place. They were stained and had holes, and the same can be said about the comforters. Parking was cramped as well, and somebody swiped the side of my car, likely due to the fact that all the spots are compact.
The plus side– Alamo Inn is about a 10 minute walk through the Grand Californian to the Disneyland gates.

2 stars for the price and location. The lobby has a help wanted sign for maintenance and I can tell why.

TV has to be manually turned to channel 3 every time you turn it off
Shower handle is falling off and water is backwards. Cold comes out hot and vise versa
Whole room needs paint
Worst part is my room smells like mold.
The rest is not maintenance fault but the bed is super uncomfortable and my hips hurt after sleeping on my side. There is not disturb door hanger so I couldn’t tell them not to clean my room. I don’t like people my room when I am not in it. I would consider staying again because of price but not for more than one night. 3 nights is too much for this hard bed.

Satisfactory, low budget hotel. About 15 minute walk to Disneyland, if you cut through the Grand Californian.
I booked this place for a major steal through Price line’s Name Your Own Price deal. I think I paid $ 60 a night. *After* it booked, I read reviews and got creeped out by complaints of bugs and dirty rooms. Luckily, we didn’t have either problem. Our room (one queen bed) was tiny, maybe 10 by 15 feet, but it was clean and looked newly remodeled with hardwood floor, plantation shudders, and tiled bathroom.
My only real complaint is every single outlet was, like stripped? or something, so that nobody’s charger would stay in them. We fixed it by leaning a suitcase up against the charger, so it wouldn’t fall out of the outlet. Also, the towels are super scratchy. But again, for the price, it was decent.

ROACHES!!!
This place gets one star for the location. It was a short walk to the parks, and was close to affordable dining options. This all takes a back seat to the massive cockroach crawling on the curtain while I was showering.
When I captured this bugger and showed it to the front desk attendant, she didn’t even flinch. It was clear that these people just didn’t care. Never again!

Great budget hotel. Large, clean room. Working fridge, microwave, cable TV. WiFi didn’t work from my room and isn’t available in the lobby.
Staff did good job providing directions. Cleaning staff did well. Easy to find parking. Walking distance to Anaheim Convention Center, Disneyland, and California Adventures.

My cousin and I live in Northern California but have annual passes to Disneyland. We wanted a clean and inexpensive hotel close to the park for our quick getaway, and came upon this hotel through Expedia (but we booked through the hotel itself online).
(*Note: usually when I bring my kids we stay at the Anaheim Camelot Inn and Suites, or the Tropicana. This trip was adults only, so we were less picky.)
I was pleasantly surprised, but not terribly impressed. We got an older room, but it was okay. The hotel is clean and the staff was friendly. For sleeping and getting ready the room was more than sufficient.
* hardwood floors: hotel carpets= YUCK
* bedding and room clean (some scuffs on the walls)
* outlets were few, and most were old and didn’t hold in our plugs unless we positioned something against them. This lead to some switching and alternating of flat irons and phone chargers.
* furniture, TV, phone all out dated, but well kept and in good condition
* microwave and fridge in room
* 10 – 15 minute walk to entry of California Adventure through the Grand California, 20 – 30 if you want to walk to main entrance. (Fine for adults, too far in my opinion for kids.)
* inexpensive
* we forgot toothpaste and were bummed when the hotel didn’t have any and we had to walk to go find a little store.
* the rooms aren’t well ventilated and our bathroom fan didn’t work :(. Be prepared and bring Lysol.
Overall the hotel was good for what we needed it for. Would stay again for quick trips.

Just stayed here with my family in the family suite, and it was surprisingly okay. Despite the bad reviews this place was in my budget, and it was close to disneyland of course.
Yeah is some what of an older building, and some things could be better, like a flat screen rather than a tube tv lol but that’s okay. We were hardly in the room anyway.
The room was clean, and everything was walking distance.
I’m not sure why people stay here and then bash the place. The prices are fairly descent and if you stay at the bigger name hotels you could spend about twice the price. This place had the necessities that we needed.
Everything was just fine for us. A bit outdated but clean. Atleast our room :)

Our stay: March 9 – 14, 2015. Room 110
It’s clean and close to the park. Rooms were great and spacious (king). Bathroom was a little outdated, but still cleaner than most. Electric outlets are sparse, thank god I brought an extention cord. Pool was sort of clean but very very cooooooold. The hot tub was okay, jets were not high power, but after a long day at Disney it came in handy.
The mattress was like sleeping on Fred Flintstone’s bed. Rock hard and super uncomfortable. Still had the clunky television with basic crap cable that was snowy and crackly. The noise level was … ok. Lots of people talking loudly outside and noises from other rooms seeping into yours. Large bus of high schoolers on our last night was a little insane. Major noise all night. I’m doing 2 stars for the check in/​checkout debacle. That should have never happened.
The downside is the check in person didn’t calculate right and at checkout were were slammed with $ 100 charge for a night that she didn’t include. We asked at check in if everything was paid (three times we asked), all three times is was your current. t, your balance is zero. So we blew all of our money in the parks. Only to come back and have to pay for their mix up. I don’t mind paying what I owe, but do your job right in the first place.
I might stay here again, but highly doubtful. It depends on other reviews and wether or not I can find a better deal at a closer inn near the park. In all we paid about $ 350 for 5 nights. And the addage «you get what you pay for» was a little too close on this one.
