Their hours of operation show 6 AM to 12 AM. I gave it a shot and called at 12:30 AM once I found out our bathroom door was locked with no way to get in. To my surprise I was able to reach their Customer Service/​Call Center at that hour. I gave my information and let them know that I needed a bathroom door unlocked as soon as possible.
Seeing that their Anaheim Office is literally a 2 minute drive from my house, the Customer Service Rep insured me that someone will contact me right when they come in at 6 AM. I was very hopeful that someone would be sent to my house around 6:30 AM, giving me enough time to get ready for work. Knowing that I best have a Plan B in case someone doesn’t reach back out in time, I found another Locksmith at a better price that was able to get the job done before anyone from Academy Locksmith contacted me.
I finally receive a call from Academy Locksmith at 9:13 AM. 3 hours and 13 minutes after they opened. If this is the professionalism and response that is to be expected, I’d recommend taking your needs elsewhere.

My company contact Academy Locksmith for a big project and they’re lack of professionalism is the worst, they re keyed all of our desks and none of the keys worked, we had to call them several times for them to come and get the job done,… well after a month they can get the job right, and Anthony which is one of the workers there he has no sense of what it is a good customer service. hire them for small jobs 1 or 2 keys if that. I would not recommend this company for nothing.

Last night I locked my keys in my vehicle and made literally about 15 calls. Everyone wanted a 20 dollar service charge plus labor and nobody could guarantee me or even an estimate on what it would cost me to get into my Toyota Camry a very common car. That’s when I found out the industry was full of crooks.!fernando from academy warned me about the scams and was the only person to guarantee me his price and didn’t make me wait till he got there. Right from the beginning academy set themselves apart from everyone else. They were a little late. But they let me in my car and that’s what matters.

Friendly and prompt service. Reasonable rates.
My only issue was that I was told someone was going to call to confirm the time and no one did. I had to follow up and check.
Overall, I’m satisfied with the service and definitely recommend them.

I had managed to lock myself out of my house on Saturday and I called these guys for help. I was so pleased with their quick response to my house, reasonable pricing and Mikes friendly demeanor. My ID was checked and he took about 20 minutes to get me back in my house with my dogs.
I highly recommend this locksmith. Hopefully I won’t need them again but if I do I know who I will call!

This is in regards to needing a key replacement for a vehicle their website is
so the conversation started off good said that they would have a technician be at my location within 30 minutes 45 minutes later I get a phone call requesting a credit card an hour after that they said it’s going to be about 3 hours because they have to go pick up the key from a vendor then I get a call several hours later they said oh sorry we can’t get the key they wasted several hours of my time when I could have just used another locksmith and had it done so G thanks guys for wasting a whole day of mine I really wish they had a no star option you guys suck

I used Academy Locksmith to rekey a client’s large home in Beverly Hills, repair various locks and install a new lockset. They came out the very next day after I phoned, were timely and very professional and charged a fair amount for all the work. Highly recommend them!

There was some confusion at 1^st when a dispatcher called me is morning,
Not knowing the Arrangements made previously. I cancelled my appt.
I then called & spoke with Fernando (one of the Mgrs.) He was Very Professional and Polite.
He honored the price I was originally quoted for 3 doors to be Re-​keyed.

I have used this locksmith for my business on several occasions — they always do a great job. All jobs were done in a professional manner and at a reasonable price — they have even given me options to lower their cost on occasion.
If you go to the storefront you’ll find the gentlemen working there to be straightforward, courteous and quite helpful.
If you are looking for people that know locks — you won’t go wrong with these guys.

If you’re a landlord, watch out. I locked out a tenant and «Fernando» showed up. Since I live in Texas, was communicating with him via telephone. I asked him to change the locks and close all windows, then mail the keys to me in Texas. He agreed.
Two weeks later, no keys. When I called Fernando, he said he did mail them but could not produce a tracking number, he claims they only used regular mail. Then, I called and spoke with the manager who said Fernando returned from the lockout being depressed because the tenant was evicted. Really? Shaking my head.

I wish I could have a good experience with this company.
Based no the reviews on Unilocal I thought I would be good to call them up.
I had locked myself outside my ford explorer and gave them a call to set up an appointment. They were kind, friendly, and punctual.
HOWEVER, after work when I had met the person I was told that there was going to be a licensed professional that was coming to open the car. The person looked as if he was living in his car, not a professional. he was able to get the job done fairly quick, BUT as he was trying to unlock the door he ruined the lining on the door and did not put it back into place. The lining ultimately ripped off and now there’s alot of air flowing through my car.
Secondly, when I had called, the rep told me it was going to cost $ 65 dollars for the service. When I was going to pay the guy said that it was $ 89. I had spent much, much more than what I was quoted for. Unhappy with the service I received overall.
If you decide to use them, make sure to double check how much you’re truly paying for before you set the appointment before you get jipped off too.

Awesome service; totally accommodating! Trustworthy and helpful. Used them from afar for an elderly relative. They were punctual and went the extra mile to make everything right again. Will use again and highly recommend to others! Thanks!

Brian (I think was his name), showed up with his towering presence, and helped me back into my house with a minimal of «damage» to my lock. He did tell me the risk, and I accepted it. Ka-​ching! I was in.
Cost: Decent. Less than a hundred. They take plastic.
Time: From call to arrival on-​site: 30 mins. 5 more for finding my Lost-​City-​like address.
Time: From arrival to job completion: 15 mins.
Service: Brian was very friendly and talked smack about locks and how annoying they are when you least expect them to be. My kinda guy. He needs to do comedy.
Rating: I cannot give them more than 5 stars, so I gave them the max.
Note: I considered speed of arrival, speed of service and cost. The others were just icing. Forget the locksmith nightmares you’ve heard about. These people are awesome. I just hope I don’t have to use them again any time soon. You know what I mean.

So, if you’re looking up a locksmith, I’m sure you can relate to the feeling of shutting the door and instantly realizing you forgot to grab your keys… that was me this last Saturday. Luckily I had my phone, but the battery was low so needless to say I was a bit panicky.
These guys were one of the few places open. Go figure a locksmith closing at 5 pm like all these others, whats the point of that, no one locks themselves out when it’s convenient! So I called and William answered the phone right away, gave me a quote and told me he’d call as soon as he got ahold of one of his techs. 5 minutes later he calls and tells me an approximate arrival of the tech. 20 minutes later, Mike shows up and opens the door in less than 5 minutes! They were both so nice and the price was $ 79, which is reasonable considering the alternative was sleeping on a lounge chair out by the apartment pool!
Another thing I really appreicated was, rather than writing my card information down, Mike called into the office so that the only place my card info was used was to run the transaction through that one time. Seriously cannot say enough good things about these guys, if you get locked out call them first! They have the most flexible hours around and employe amazing people!

At first I was very paranoid about having a locksmith come to change my locks because I’ve heard so many horror stories. Anthony was so patient in responding back and forth in emails to convice me they were legit and all would be fine. Then Jeremiah came and was very professional and knew what he was doing (in fact I even learned a few things in watching too) and he was funny! The dude has a sense of humor on top of being professional.
He was fast and didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t need. I highly recommend Academy Locksmith to anyone who needs their services.

These guys are great!
Fast, reasonable and reliable. I called them and they were at my door within 45 minutes — an hour early.
It cost $ 39 for the service call and $ 29 each to fix the two door locks that were broken. Look no further!

So I was a dope and locked myself out of the house on a sunday of all days. Called them up and they were quick to pick up, and immediately schedule someone to come out. Excellent service and very good to work with, very reasonably priced as well.

I called Academy because they were local and had good reviews on Unilocal.
Our business needed to have two locks re-​keyed immediately, and they came in less than an hour. The technician was friendly, quick and very professional.
I had a misunderstanding with one of the gentlemen over pricing and it was cleared up without any hassle.
We run a small business in Los Altos and I was so pleased on how I was treated.
Professional, accommodating and great customer service, I highly recommend them and would definitely call again!
