Just skip it. The tasting room smells like mold, and when we were there, the woman pouring the wine could only ask two questions. I swear she asked us four times where we were from and if we had visited the winery before. The wine as bad. Tasted like vinegar. Wish I had read reviews before I went…

There is a first time for everything. I dumped every single wine I was presented with… they were all that bad. At first I felt annoyed that the pours were so stingy. Then after a couple of tastes that were so terrible that I had to dump them, I was relieved that I was dumping so little. I felt bad for the owners because it seemed like everyone on the wine tour was of the same opinion as I was. All 7 of the other folks on the tour were dumping their wine as well and we skedaddled out of there. Our limo driver was surprised to see all of us at the car so soon. Hopefully this winery will be removed from the list so it does not show up on the itinerary of any future wine tours.

I visited this winery last summer, and I’m still crazy about it. I really enjoyed the white wines – the Cat’s Meow is a great value white table wine – and they are famous for their sparkling wines. The tasting room is quaint and welcoming, guarded by a rare Camperdown Elm. The charming woman who owns the winery with her husband(the winemaker) served us and gave us a quick history. He began making wine after taking a viticulture class – pretty good for just taking one class. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

Tried the 2005, 2003 pinots. Cabbage nose, no body, no length, no happy. Not bad pinot, but not something I would buy a bottle of. Maybe their whites are good but that’s for someone else to try… Check out my other many Oregonian Wine reviews!!!
