Amity Vineyards

Came here last year because I had a groupon. Friendly staff and good wines. Went again for memorial weekend for the free tastings. I was surprised we got to try so many wines. They have a great view also.

They are working hard in the site which will improve the overall score. AMAZING beautiful view of southern Yamhill County. Wines are each different. Hostess was interesting and talkative. Well versed in the wines.

Amity Vineyards has been around for a long time. I’ve always been meaning to get up here and I finally made it up their way.
Black Friday for me usually means avoid all stores and shopping. There is no deal I need or anything I need bad enough. That said this seemed like a great alternative.
Their tasting is $ 8 this includes 5 wines to taste and they also brought us a little plate of olives, crackers and almonds. We purchased one wine which waive one of our tasting fees. I have to say I really loved all their wines.
When you walk in their tasting area may seem a little primitive and not as fancy as some you see in places in the McMinnville AVA, however, the service was great and friendly.
The server indicated that had just recently been bought out by Union wines which produces Underwood wine and is based out of Tualatin. This must have been a real recent purchase as neither of their websites reflect that.
All in all a good solid group of reds and whites. Stop by and give them a try. I know I’ll be back again.

This place pales in comparison to some of the other vineyards in the area. Their customer service and knowledge is lacking in a major way. It’s nice enough in terms of atmosphere, but not special in the way that a lot of the other outstanding wineries in the area are. I would def skip this one. Witness Tree is one of many better options.

the tasting room is an older building and it’s in Amity! somewhere where noone has probably been or will likely go.
their current tasting fee is VERY reasonable $ 8 for a tasting of 8+ wines! it’s also COMPED if you buy a bottle. wine here is reasonable priced — good quality at non-​exclusive prices.

My husband and I visited Amity vineyards this weekend and are so happy we did. The view from the vineyard is of rolling hills. It is fall and the colors were beautiful. We had such a great time doing the tasting, which is quite affordable, that two hours went by before we knew it! The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the wines. The wines themselves were wonderful and full of character. We left with several bottles and we will definitely be back again. I highly recommend a visit to Amity Vineyards.

Amity Vineyards is almost as old as the hills surrounding it. Can remember the days when the tasting room was in a shack like building. The vineyard workers would stop what they were doing and come pour you a glass of wine. The staff at Amity Vineyards was warm and friendly. They acted like they were delighted that you dropped by for a visit.
Pleased to say that the Amity Vineyards spirit of hospitality has continued on to the present. These days the tasting room is in a large barn like building. The interior is actually quite elegant. Among the items for sale are gifts, foods, wine supplies, T-​shirts and fudge from the Brigittine Monks. On certain days you can watch them cork and label the wine bottles.
The tasting area itself is very well set up and quite comfortable. The tasting fee is $ 8 but they do everything they can to waive the tasting fee. The people working the tasting counter are wonderful. Polite, friendly, and oh so helpful. On my last visit our tender wrapped our wine bottles and made sure we had boxes to carry them.
The wines. Goodness gracious they are so delicious. Amity Vineyards features some fantastic and affordable Pinot Noirs. One of the best things about Amity Vineyards is that they offer two hard to find French wines: Marechal Foch and Gamay Noir. To me the Marechal Foch makes the trip to Amity Vineyards worthwhile.
At Amity Vineyards there’s plenty of parking outside the tasting room and there’s plenty of hospitality inside. Amity, Oregon is a beautiful destination and Amity Vineyards is a wonderful compliment to a great Oregon town.

They have the best wines I have ever had! Love their Late Harvest Rieling (sweet dessert wine) which I believe is termed an «ice wine». They also had a sweet «Wedding Song Riesling» which was my 2^nd favorite. My friend enjoyed the Eco-​Wine Pinot Noir, which was what she bought.
The tasting fee was incredible, I think it was like $ 5 for 8 or 10 tastes. I lost track of how many tastes we had. And then they waived our tasting fee as well. I had so much fun and had such a great time at this winery!
Out of all the wineries we went to in the Salem area, this was definitely my favorite. And the staff was super informative. They were so friendly and nice, very helpful. Not only that but one of there wine specialists was super hot too! Nice eye candy :)

Went there today for a nice fourth of July cookout. It is a beautiful winery, with a nice large picnic area out back. Not so much of a wine drinker (I go to these because my wife is) but it was a nice sunday afternoon.

Amity Vineyards, a perennial Willamette Vally favorite, has been been making wine since 1974. As you drive the gravel road up to their property, you can see their estate vines — the bases are so thick that they look like small tree trunks. Those vines were planted in 1971 and you can definitely taste the complexity that they lend to their estate pinots.
Their tasting room is basically carved out of a wine cellar and is pretty plain. However, the people serving the wine are extremely knowledgeable as they also handle other aspects of the wine business.
Great Pinots and their $ 5 tasting fee is waived with purchase.
Amity Vineyards can be summed up as «unpretentious winemakers that let their wine do the talking.»

I am only rating their 2007 Eco-​Wine Pinot Noir. The «No Detectable Sulfites» label caught my attention and I am so glad I tried it. Now here is how you drink this. There is a lot of CO2 in this wine (the bubbles), that you have to wait for to disappear. You can do this by leaving the wine bottle open for a half an hour or just swirl your wine in the glass like crazy. It may sound like a lot of monkey business, but boy it’s worth it. So pure, so earthy, so what every pinot should be like. $ 20 a bottle you can’t go wrong. If you are a hard core pinot drinker you have to see what a pinot would taste like w/​o sulfites.
Their other wines I would pass on, the tartaric acid after taste didn’t rub me the right way. But I was blown away by their Eco-​Wine.
