Rudest people there ever! I brought in a ton of expensive boutique items and was told they were faded and stained. And what they want to buy was a grand total of $ 16.20. I paid close to about $ 200 and the box that I brought in. Save yourself the frustration and donate to the Goodwill if you don’t want to make any money.

I have tried to shop here several tines in the last 9p days. Each time I go the store is a mess and generally looks unkept. The employees don’t smile, and all chatter amongst themselves constantly. I even stood in front of the counter, in front of a female employee who was carrying on a conversation about something she had done the night before and SHE DIDN’T EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE I was standing there! I had items in my hands and my 15 month old daughter in the other. I had to interrupt them to try to buy my clothes! She was so rude to me that I put them all back and decided to tell all my «mommy» friends about my experience. We all decided that while this is the most convenient location we will not shop there again. I wasn’t the only one who had this type of experience recently. It seems the Owners have hired too many kids that aren’t the least bit interested in customer service.

Okay so this was not my first time here, and I have had an okay experience in the past, but today did not go as well.
I went in to sell a bouncer and a little stroller. Both are brand new, the stroller has never even touched the pavement before. Well I was «greeted» by a young man, maybe 18, and I dropped my stuff off and told him I’ll be back. Well when I came back he told me my bouncer was «unsteady». I had to chuckle a little because he had not set the bouncer up correctly. The bottom bar was still folded up so of course it was unsteady. Then he told me the stroller has a wheel that «stuck», well yeah it’s brand new with the tags still on it, so it still needs to be broken in! I don’t know I feel like there should be at least one employee who knows how baby items work, and how they should be used and set up? And the employees should have a little more pep in their step. Every one looked as though they were attending a funeral. I will not be going back to that location. I have never been able to find clothes that do not have stains or are incredibly worn out. They need to seriously consider revamping their stock.

I read all the reviews before I went there today — had a great experience, found what I needed and I was very happy with everything. Will for sure come back.

Very unsatisfied with this store. I brought six bags worth of gently used clothing and baby accessories to Belly’s, Babies, and Beyond. Nothing had any stains, holes, or anything, as those items were dropped off in our local clothing drop box. Belly’s, Babies, and Beyond offered us $ 123.50 for all of our stuff, turning away only one pair of boots because they felt they were just going to take up space on their shelves for a while as no one would ever buy winter boots in our wonderfully hot state. Wanting to make sure we were getting the best price possible, we took them up on their three day price guarantee, and brought all the stuff over to here, to Once Upon a Child. First of all, in order to drop off items you have to fill out a questionnaire form. This is normal, but why in the world it asks you what your favorite radio station is, is beyond me. We were told they would give us a call when they were done sorting and that it should take roughly an hour. This was at 2:30. By 6:30, I still had not heard from them. I called them up, and am nonchalantly told, «oh yeah, we finished these a couple hours ago.» Great, so did you forget how a phone works? Then I come in, and see that out of everything I had brought in, they had only accepted about ¾ of a bag’s worth. They turned down about 85% of our items, particularly all of the bedding items such as blankets and crib bumpers because they’re not allowed to purchase any bedding material. When I asked about the countless items of clothing they turned away, holding up one piece in particular that I grabbed off the top that had absolutely nothing wrong with it, the employee gave me a halfhearted shrug and mumbled «don’t know what to tell you man». They ended up offering me around 20 bucks for the few items they did accept. Sitting here going through all of the clothing they turned down, I have yet to find a single stain, hole, or any fading whatsoever. Yeah, looks like I will be bringing all of the stuff back to Belly’s, Babies, and Beyond.

Lots of baby clothe and stuff here mostly used but in good condition and we’ll maintained.
Small place with a lot of clothe and stuff and a little crowded.
Friendly staff and help you when u need it.
If you have kids this is a good place to get cheap clothe.

I travel an hour away to sell my child’s clothes. I brought a full box of clothes and found out that the store was only going to buy back 3 items.
I asked why the other clothes were not bought. They stated that it is dis-​colored. Mind you that most the clothes are brand new or it was bought from this store but never been used. The associates try to show me under the light that there are discoloration on the clothes, which there is not. Then, the associate told me that they are picky on buying girls’ clothes because they have so many. However, they are more lenient in buying boys’ clothes.
I told the associates that they need to put on their website that they aren’t buying girls’ clothes a lot. The associates had excuses and rolled their eyes at me. I stated to them that if they put that statement on their website, people wouldn’t waste their time selling to them if they have girls’ clothes
This is my second time selling clothes & toys to this store and I wouldn’t recommend people to sell their children’s clothes here. Every time I sell to this store, I have had a bad experience… From now on, I’m donating all of my daughter’s clothes.

I love this location it’s the only one I go to. Way better than the Orlando location. They are picky about what they buy but Im glad because everything I buy from them is like new.

Will sell you clothes with holes in them and refuse to exchange them. Very rude staff and my complaints were not resolved. Will never return! See pictures.

We stopped by and couldn’t stay because of the lack of room for my wheelchair. It’s more expensive here than the other consignment shops around Altamonte. $ 10 for used 6M overalls? $ 20 off a bouncer that I can buy new with a warranty?
No thanks, I’ll shop elsewhere. It’s a shame because the location is great, and close to my house.

I hate going to these stores, but sometimes I go with my wife to lend her a hand. My main gripe is that it takes FOREVER to sell your stuff. There is never any urgency for the employees.
My last visit was no different. The store was almost dead and it still took a half hour. One girl who was going through our stuff was chatting with a friend who came to visit her, CLEARLY causing her to take longer to do her job. Then when we finally were told that they were done looking, they only wanted about 10% of it, claiming that the other stuff had some staining or «too much love». Funny, because some of it had never been worn and my wife went through it all before we took it in to make sure the clothes and toys looked good. I even looked at it when we got home and I didn’t see any issues with the items. Maybe they should pay more attention to people’s stuff and less attention to their friends? Maybe.

I have been to this location a few times now and done two buys. They are I consistent with what they are doing. I keep being told that majority of my items have to much love or stains. I inspect the items before going with them to make sure they are in good shape. When you walk through the store they have items with stains or too much love. They can’t explain what is really wrong with them and won’t tell you who did the buy. It seems like they only want items from certain people and they judge your items on how you look. Well they need to realize that people are selling items to help purchase new items for their children and everyone should be treated fairly. This is a small town and people do talk about the best places to do business.
If you don’t have to go their do not, it’ll just stress you out. They also lost money, because it was gonna purchase about $ 20 worth of clothing and left it all there,

I stopped by to check out Once Upon a Child– I have never been in one but had heard good things. This one had *just* opened the day before I went. The place was bustling with a bit of chaos. It is very tight and cramped. The clothes are packed onto racks but seemed well organized. The prices ranged from $ 2-​$ 6 on average. I thought prices were actually high for used clothes but it was what I expected. Some items looked new, some not so much. I browsed lightly but only ended up buying three small things, two of which were brand new. They have toys, strollers, bouncers, high chairs, etc lining the outer walls. I think for those items you’d do better on Craigslist or hitting garage sales. The employees seemed overwhelmed. I felt like I was bothering them to ask a question (many things weren’t marked). It felt like they may have needed another few weeks to get themselves organized before they opened. I’ll try stopping by again sometime, to see if things have calmed down.
FYI– since I’d never been in this store before I asked how selling things worked. Apparently you bring items you want to sell and leave them. The employees enter your items into the computer and based on brand and age/​size access a value for your items. You are given cash for whatever you sell. There was a gaggle of people trying to sell their items causing a big blockage near the entrance. Maybe the store is just too small but it was a mess!
