By far, the best doughnuts I have ever had in my life!!! I can’t get excited about eating a doughnut from anywhere else! All the doughnuts here are incredible, but my favorite is the peanut butter cup! Its a vanilla yeast doughnut, with a peanut butter icing, and pieces of reese cups on top. We just moved to the area, and any time someone comes for a visit, we get these doughnuts. We rave so much about them that our guests usually think they’re too good to eb true. But then they take a bit and understand exactly what we’re talking about. The staff is amazing. The little lady who owns the shop is so sweet! She always throws in some free doughnut holes for us. You couldn’t ask for a better doughnut shop!

Ok, the donuts look amazing, but I OD’d on sweets the day before. I ran here from a friend’s house — I was in town for a visit — and already told her we have to eat here next time. Holy moly they look yummy! I just had a 2% latte and it was delicious! They have other fantastic flavors like pumpkin and brown sugar — next time! :)

This place rocks, no doubt about it. Only reason I’m giving them 4 stars and not 5 is because they do not offer breakfast sandwiches(i.e bacon, egg, cheese, etc.) That being said as for the doughnut and pastries selection, AWESOME! Fun stuff, fresh and soft not hard and stale. The selection is pretty impressive for a little place. New to the area and was looking for something sweet in the morning over the holiday break. This place filled the need without a doubt. Look forward to making this place a weekly routine, especially with a pregnant wife! Lol :) Give it a shot, just FYI the little sushi place next door is awesome too… possible same owners?

What a great discovery. Love the place, and the proprietor. Bought donuts for all my assistants for Christmas this year. Very fresh, very delicious. Another small business we will enjoy supporting.

I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy and excited for donuts. I’m not really a donut girl but this place is a major exception. I don’t live around this area but its on my for work so I try and get ready quickly so I have enough time to stop by here and grab some donuts. I was trying to go on a diet but I think I’ll have to splurge on a donut every weekend. The customer service was AMAZING! The owner I believe, Ms. Sujin, is the sweetest. Only thing… you need a minimum of $ 10 to use card so I always make sure I have cash on hand just for this place! I haven’t tried a donut yet that I didn’t like but one of my favorites is the ones with nutella and bananas. I feel like that donut was made for me.

The Tofu blueberry cake donut was amazing! The wonderfully amazing lady behind the counter gave it to me because I just knew it would be gross and she told me I would think it was amazing and u know what she was right I told her I drove 30 mins to try the donuts and she gave me free samples. It was literally the best customer service I’ve ever received. I tried the peanut butter blueberry cake and the vanilla filled bar! Holy they good will be back. Tucked off the beaten path but worth the mileage

Love love donuts, so many different flavors here $/4 price wise. Friendly service. Had the Bacon donut, dulce, chocolate, coconut, peanut butter, all good and so delicious and decadent. My fav surprisingly is the tofu donut. It was good. Some I had to just eat a bite and save for later because I didn’t want to overindulge. This is a sweet place. Would definitely RECOMMEND and would come back. Yum

Donuts were very good and the people behind the counter, which I presume are the owners, were very nice. Good coffee too. Lots of different flavors to select and I’ll be back with the boyfriend soon.

Stopped in on Father’s day, my daughter treated me to some awesome donuts. Had the strawberry & cream doughnut, cinnamon doughnut, Muscle doughnut(tofu protein — this was my favorite), maple doughnut, and a fresh cup of coffee. The muscle doughnut is awesome, light and crispy — you can easily eat 9 of them and feel fine. Great service, the owner and her son run the shop and they treated me to a free doughnut for Father’s Day. Love this place.

Just went for the first time this morning with my boyfriend. The woman behind the counter(I think she is the owner) was very helpful and kind. We got 4 donuts and a large hot chocolate for less than $ 8. And it was definitely worth it! Everything was great and super fresh. I recommend this place to anyone! Ps– try the apple fritter and the hot chocolate

This place gets five stars from me! I have tried maple donuts all over the country to find the perfect consistency and flavor and have not found it until today! They also have a tofu do it that’s delicious! Highly recommend this place to any fellow donut lover! :)

NOMAS! NOMAS! I recall visiting this little shop several years ago but never returned. I did not recall why I had never stopped in again so I decided to give it another try. They had a great visual display of donuts, but I don’t care for the«entertainment» donut. I need a simple donut that tastes good so I prefer the plain glazed or cake/sour cream donut. However, the taste just didn’t measure up. I tried a cake donut first. It immediately tasted as if it had been cooked in a heavy oil but I soldiered on and finished it. Next, I tried a traditional donut with cinnamon glaze. This was the end. I could neither chew nor swallow it because I was immediately hit with the sensation of cold lard hitting my mouth. It went right into a napkin and eventually the trash. Whatever fat they are using, it is waaaaay too heavy. They really need to lighten up on the cooking oil/lard. Also, the glaze on the traditional donut was barely present and that is just unacceptable. It was more of an unglazed donut and I strongly believe that if you can’t make a basic donut, I am not going to interested in your other offerings. Like I said, don’t care how it looks,(don’t pretty up my food), I just need it to taste good! My husband had a savory(bacon and cheese or a caramel glaze), do-nut, which appeared to have that pre-cooked packaged bacon that requires no refrigeration. It was scary and he did not like it. The bacon had a strangely soft texture so that did not help matters. Being the kind and diplomatic person that he is, he would only describe the coffee as hot which means he did not like it. If the taste of cold lard,(that lingers on your tongue), excites you then I say go for it, otherwise you may want to consider other options. Not recommended.

Although I’ve only been here once I enjoyed my visit very much! The lady behind the counter was absolutely sweet. She felt so bad we had come so late that the shop was about to close. She was telling us to get all the freshest donuts and picked them herself. She was so kind and it was easy to talk to her and it wasn’t awkward even though my friend and I were the only two there. The donuts were a good price, although I can’t remember exactly how much they were. They had a wide variety of donuts even though it was late, so I wonder how many different kinds they have during peak times. We devoured those donuts, lol. I will definitely be back for more and I hope when I go it’s not at the end of the day so I get to enjoy the full experience of this donut shop!

[TL;DR] My new place for donuts. Sorry Dutch Monkey. This nondescript donut shop in a nondescript shopping center is home of some awesome frickin’ donuts. Slow your roll and pick something up. When faced with the incredibly difficult decision making process of choosing one donut, you might ask the person behind the counter which donut is the best. If the answer your receive is «they all are» or something equivalent, you know one of two things just happened. They are leading you astray, afraid their recommendation will clash with your tastes, OR genuine goodness lies ahead. Well, it came down to the apple fritter and the blueberry cake. I don’t know if you’ve heard me rave about Voodoo Donuts in Portland. If you have, you know they have one of the best blueberry cake donuts ever. Rivaled. SweetApple has the advantage of proximity. SweetApple wins. The apple fritter was one of the best I ever had. If only it didn’t have that jelly thing on top. Anyway, the donuts are the bomb. I shall be back to conquer the selection crisis.

«This donut has purple in the middle, purple is a fruit.» –Homer Simpson Well at SweetApple the«muscle» donuts have tofu in them, that’s got to count for something, doesn’t it? SweetApple is a great independent donut shop. The service by the owner in the mornings is fantastic, and she always offers a free donut to first timers. The apple fritter is the bomb, the true strawberry is fantastic, and believe it or not the tofu donuts aren’t bad. The doughnuts are made every morning, and in my experience it is better to get them early. I’m not sure if I should hit the gym before or after the blueberry tofu donut.

Lord, I’d give anything for one –or a thousand– of their fresh strawberry donuts since I’ve moved away! They are SO honest to goodness, downright delicious. When you leave you may almost feel a bit dirty because of the amount you enjoyed yourself here. They should literally bottle that sticky strawberry purée. I want to put it on everything! Another noteworthy menu item is their banana, peanut butter, donut sandwich. They are good, filling, feel somewhat healthier for a donut breakfast between the peanut butter and the banana, and they are so cute! I believe the chocolate frosted ones are heart shaped. Really adorable. These people make such delicious donuts, I’m convinced, because they really care about not just flavor, but also the ingredients we put into our bodies. Better ingredients = better tasting food(and it’s hard to go wrong with that since donuts are already delicious)! They are much, much lighter than the donuts at Dutch Monkey. I don’t mind. There are plenty of donuts here that I want to have room to eat multiple of! Sweetapple knows their stuff. I miss their donuts so much, and I won’t forget the equally sweet lady that runs the shop! Highly recommended!

Man, do I hate to be the one… The good(or maybe not so good?) thing is that with an average 5-star rating among 40+ reviews, my A-OK opinion won’t affect the rating at all. I came back for the second time today and got the same kind customer service as I did the first time I was here last year. Baby sister and I were craving doughnuts, with her hankering leaning towards the bacon side(hey, nothing wrong with that!). We picked out the maple syrup bacon yeast, plain glazed yeast, apple fritter, blueberry tofu, and lemon-filled yeast, powder sugar-covered doughnuts. We were starving, as we hadn’t eaten lunch yet and as we were walking out to the car with our box of fried dough in tow, we decided that we’d sit a spell on one of the outdoor tables that SweetApple has right between their front door and the parking lot. Sis and I started ripping pieces from the 5 different doughnuts. I ended up eating the equivalent of ¾ of a doughnut, deciding that maybe filling up a hungry belly with sweets would be a cause for regret later in the day. The apple fritter was good, as I remembered it, if not slightly drier(maybe because we arrived at 2:30/3 p.m. though?). This time, I felt some parts were overcooked, as a corner or two were charred and slightly bitter(that classic burnt taste). The glazed was good but it seemed so… plain… average… Who knows. I didn’t get a bite of the lemon, so I’ll refrain from commenting about it. I also did not try the bacon-covered doughnut, but baby sister seemed to enjoy it. The blueberry tofu reminded us both of the texture of the inside of a French cruller. It was slightly dense, but moist in the inside. I think the first time I went, I tried the plain tofu doughnut. Both times, it was really hard to believe that these doughnuts were composed of tofu. Very nice service and from the last time, I remember the iced coffee tasting pretty good. For the value, you cannot go wrong. But after having visited other doughnut shops, this one falls in that«average» category. Trust me, these doughnuts are pretty tasty, but comparing them to other doughnuts specialists in the metropolitan area is silly. The other ones, one that is quite close by(probably 5 – 6 miles in between the two) and the other in Decatur, could stand next to these doughnuts any day and surpass them in quality and creativity.
