Was recommended here based on a good experience from a neighbor. Paul was great to talk to and very helpful with any information that I needed. I brought in my Lexus IS250 to get the rear bumper repainted and it came out great w/​o any problems. Definitely would recommended coming here in the future!

Paul and Mark really outdid themselves with my car and the whole process. My car got hit and suffered quite a lot of damage and came out of the shop looking better than ever. Highly recommended (which is why I’ve been continuously telling my buddies to head over)

Paul, Mark and his entire team at Allston Collision Center in Allston do a fabulous job! I had two collisions in one week (both not my fault!) and suffered back bumper and severe side driver’s door damage. I had two concurrent claims with my insurance company and when the appraiser recommended Allston Collision, I was fine trying them, as I trusted my insurance and didn’t have other repair shops in mind.
Now I see why they are a preferred auto body shop! Paul contacted me several times while my claims were being prepared, offered to review the damage and estimate the time needed for repairs, as well as assist with rental car. I always felt my car was in good hands with Paul.
I received my car in less than two weeks and it was beautiful, the work was amazing, like showroom new, and cleaned and waxed perfectly (my car was very dirty from the winter and my work with pets as the Owner of For the Love of Jobe — Pet Services, LLC in Brookline, MA). After a few days back driving it, I noticed my left side stereo was not working, as part of the damage from my collision. I called Paul who immediately returned my call, offered his guys to fix it that day and after 10 minutes, all was working!
Again, car accidents are time-​consuming and a hassle. But Paul and Allston Collision make a bad experience a painless one! If you want friendly, good auto service, look no further!

I was on my way into the car wash adjacent to this business when Paul, the owner, was walking by and noticed that my under mounted spare tire was hanging dangerously close to the ground. Ie, I would not have made it through the wash
without damage. He graciously offered to fix it on the spot and free of charge.
I’m so grateful he noticed and then also confirmed what I already know — Herb Chambers Toyota Allston Service (I had just left there with my «repaired» spare tire) is a disaster of a place and should be avoided at all costs!

A couple months ago I brought my 2010 BMW 328xi to Paul after an unfortunate slip and slide into the rear end of another vehicle during some joyous New England winter weather. From the moment I started speaking with him I got the feeling that my car and I were in good hands. It was clear he knew BMWs well, in fact mine was one of three in the shop at the time.
He quickly assessed the damage (front bumper, grille, hood, and one headlight needed replacement, as well as the A/​C condenser unit) and assured me that he would be able to work directly with a GEICO claims adjuster to arrange any supplements to the claim. He quoted me a week and a half for the work, and when it took two days longer than expected due to a couple parts he was waiting on, he offered to cover the cost of a rental for the additional time.
When I picked up the car it quite literally looked better than the day I bought it. The parts and paint work were all done extremely well. The only way I could be happier is if I’d never gotten in the accident in the first place.

Paul, the owner, was a pleasure to work with. He was fair, helpful and friendly and made everything very easy.
It took a little over a week to get my car which seemed a little long but there was enough damage that I didn’t complain. I was happy with the work accept the first time I used my wipers I noticed there was a clear substance spackled over the windshield. I can only imagine it’s the clear coat they put over a finished paint job. Of course, I know zero about cars. Wouldn’t be surprised to learn that the only reason why I think they get a clear coat is because that’s what you put on your nails after a manicure.

Although I have been bringing my cars to Allston Collision for over a decade, just recently, I was saved by these guys, big time! I was hit in my front end just over a week before moving cross-​country and I NEEDED to get my car fixed before I moved… no exceptions. Naturally, I took my car to Allston Collision and Paul looked me in the eye and promised that my car would be ready before I left. Not only was my car finished a day early and looking great, Paul took the time to call me and let me know of the work’s progress while I was stressing about the moving process; this really put my mind at ease. He also guaranteed that if I were to have any issues with the repair in my new town that he would work with my new local auto-​body business in the future, if necessary… this is because he is a stand-​up guy who runs a stand-​up business. I have known Paul to always give me a good deal, accommodate my situations over the years and also be very fair and responsive to any issues regarding repairs. Additionally, his staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. While I am excited to be moving and hope to not need an auto-​body specialist for a very long time, I will miss have such a resource as Allston Collision!

Needed a cracked headlight replaced with light touch up work to a scratch on the bumper. Customer service is great here and Paul was very helpful with explaining things. Prices were fair but I had to pay cash for some odd reason. It was a little chaotic trying to find when a good time for them to do the repairs.

Nightmare ! They did not keep the paper work i needed to get paid from the insurance. Or, the work they said they did might have never existed (thus no paper work to show). Took more than half year to settle, and I was ready for a small claim court. Avoid !!!

Couldn’t have asked for a more convenient experience from the unfortunate inconvenience that is a car accident. I had my new car for less than 24 hrs before a friend backed into it :(I called the VW dealer initially, and their body shop guy was very surly and wouldn’t even let me come in for an estimate for a couple of weeks, wanted me to wait around all morning for him to do an estimate… totally ridiculous.
I took a chance on these guys based on the Unilocal reviews, and the fact that they were friendly, responsive, and eager from the outset. Paul invited me to immediately bring my car over for an estimate, which he figured out on the spot. He called while I was there to find out if parts were in town and had them ordered before I left. He promised me the car would be ready the next week (I needed to drive home for the holidays), and it was. They were delayed by a morning, but gave me a ride to my classes and picked me back up so I wouldn’t have to wait.
I don’t think you can ask for a better experience from a body shop, frankly (and I’ve had some bad ones, seen my friends have some bad ones).
If you’re paying out of pocket, ask about the price for paying cash since they like to avoid the credit card fees.

The customer service in this place is amazing. Paul is a great guy. He explains everything that will be done to the car, and goes to great lengths to ensure that the work is done to the customer’s satisfaction. I brought my car in after it was keyed in Brighton and they did a great job matching the paint. It looked terrific at first. After a few days, however, the paint had soaked into the primer a bit in one spot, so I brought it back, and Paul was happy to fix everything up. When I got the car back again it looked just as great, and the paint job is now holding up nicely.
They even removed a couple of spots I had on my car from parking under a tree or something, which were in no way related to the damage from they keying.
Oh, and by the way Paul did all the negotiation with the insurance co.‘s adjuster! I didn’t even have to meet with the adjuster myself, just dropped my car off at Allston Collision and they took care of everything!
Long story short, when I picked up my car the second time, the paint job was perfect. Paul even offered to wax and detail it again for free before winter, since I had to bring it in twice. These guys have the best customer service I’ve ever experienced at any auto shop, so definitely check them out.

I needed some deep scratches and paint work done on my back bumper and the panel above it, over the wheel, from a parking incident. I went to Allston Collision to get a quote, as well as some other places. They had the lower price and were friendly and helpful. Before I took my car there I noticed they had many cars in their lot but whenever I went by at night there were no cars in sight. This is HUGE. Allston is known for vandalism and they didn’t have anybody’s cars out at night.
When I made the decision to take my car in, I expected them to tell me it would be a while since they seemed like they had a lot on their plate, and I needed my car to move that weekend. Paul was extremely friendly, introduced me to any employees that wandered by while I was there, and told me my car would be ready in about a day and a half. In perfect amount of time for me to move.
When I went to pick up my car I had the same great experience and Paul had someone touch up a scratch in my paint on my door (completely unrelated to what i took it there for) before I left. The repair and the paint job looked like nothing ever happened.
I highly recommend Allston Collision if you want great customer service and your car treated well at a fair price!

they do bad bad bad bad bad bad job! what happened was that my sister hit her car, damaging her front bumper, headlight, and hood. First, the front bumper, you can see there are so many dust particles when they painted it. Seems like they don’t paint the parts under a dust controlled room. At the bottom part of the bumper, it seems like they used white out (her car is white).
Secondly, they did not fix the headlights properly. I had a warning lights on when I got the car (shipped the car over to LA so I didn’t get to check the car before I ship), had to bring it to Audi to get it fixed.
Lastly, the hood paint was totally off! you can see that its so so so so different from other parts of the body.
I can’t say more on how bad of a job they did!

Where to begin…
Late December 2010 I was in a minor accident where I received some damage to my rear bumper. Based on the reviews here I decided to give Allston Collision Center a try. Paul and Mark were very good at assessing the damage as well as working with my insurance to get everything squared away to do the repairs and even handled getting a supplement for a new bumper to be put on and having the area repainted.
January 2011: Repairs and paint took about a week. When I received the car they got it washed and cleaned at a nearby car-​wash and things looked good. Upon closer inspection there was nice big chunks about half an inch of paint missing around the seams on both ends of the bumper. I brought this issue up and because they guarantee their work and the work was clearly poor Paul was willing to repaint the bumper. Clearly when you run a business like this you cannot expect to give a customer back a car with a mediocre paint job.
Due to snow and perhaps their workload It was a absolute pain to schedule them to repaint my bumper. We are now in late March where Paul found some time to do the work, he was also kind enough to pay for my rental car for the 2 days he had my vehicle.
I receive my vehicle (again washed and cleaned) and do a walk through of the car with Paul. He shows me the right side of the bumper and it looked like they fixed the original poor paint application on the seams. Unfortunately the left side of the bumper was still in the same chipped state as I left it, and there was substantial dirt and grime in many of the creases. The excuse was that the car manufacturer designs the bumper in such a way that it is impossible to do a correct paint job… At this point I did not even have the patience to deal with the situation anymore. When I got home I found 2 large rusty screws in my backseat. I hope the bumper doesn’t fly off while I am driving.
In conclusion while they are eager to fix their errors I would not recommend their paint work to anyone who is looking to have their vehicle restored to its original state after receiving any type of damage.

Unbelievable service, so cheap, so friendly, so quick, they deal with insurance and wash your car!
I got in an accident and had my entire back bumper ripped off. My garage back home in CT estimated it would take $ 3,000 to repair and my insurance said it would only cost $ 1500 so told me I’d have to pay the difference or find another shop.
I looked on Unilocal and saw Allston Collision was highly rated and just said, ok here I go. THANK YOU Unilocalers for finding me the best place! Paul at ACC was just the nicest person I’ve ever met. He dealt with my insurance for me, so I didn’t have to spend a dime or deal with any hassles.
My car is beautiful and back to tiptop shape and they even washed it and vacuumed it for me! Could not be happier with the job, service, and really recommend them!

Every year I come here. Paul is the owner, and Mark is managing in the office. These guys are like family now. Best customer service, best prices, very high quality work. 6 years ago, Paul even told me to get the car I own now, and you know how Boston drivers are… I go every year to get little bumps and dents (and the occasional more serious accidents). They have treated me like family, and they will always take care of their customers. Tell them Doc sent you. Best body/​auto shop in Boston.

I am changing my rating to 5 stars for this place since I just visited them for a second time and everything was perfect.
Besides the fact that my car was fixed and cleaned and buffed to a shiny, perfect sheen, working with the owner of this place is a pleasure. They’ve helped me through this process twice now and answered all of my questions, no matter how clueless I seem. And, they helped usher me into a rental car without any inconvenience. 5 stars, ACC!

My Jaguar XJ8L was hit in the driver’s rear door in a parking lot two weeks before my lease end. Whoever hit it really did a number on the car and of course they didn’t leave a note. So much for personal accountability.
I had used Allston Collision Center in the past and was always impress by the quality of their work. I called and talked to Paul and described my predicament. Even though they were very busy, he told me to bring the car down (it was driveable) and he would handle everything and do his best to get it finished in time for the lease turn-​in.
When I went to get the car back 7 days later (!!) I almost didn’t want to return it to the lease company. On their own, they completely cleaned up and touched up the car and didn’t charge me a penny for it. Elaine O’Neil (ACC President) and Paul told me they wanted to make sure the leasing company didn’t charge me for incidental scratches or paint chips as they so often do.
This is a level of service way above and beyond what I could have expected from any other shop, including the dealer. My car was fixed perfectly, sooner than I needed, and they went the extra mile to ensure I had a smooth lease end transition.

A few years ago, I got in a really bad accident when a cab hit the front end of my car. Being new to the area, I chose Allston Collision Center because it was close. This place had my car for over THREE months (!) and every time I called to inquire about it, I got the run around. «Oh, we’re waiting for a part to come in. We’ll call you in a few days.» (they never would). Or, «The guy working on your car is not in today. Call back tomorrow.» It got to the point where I was worried I might not even get my car back.
And to top it off, when they were «done», they had apparently forgotten about one huge scrape on the front end. Nice.
Will not go back here, ever.
The only positive thing I can say is that my car was nice and clean when they returned it, but I am pretty sure most places do this anyway.

Dogshit.
I’m not happy with this place at all. I have reason to believe that this place is in on some kind of scam with at least 1 auto insurance company. I have a very long story attached to this that I won’t repeat here, but I feel like I basically got screwed here. The employee I delt with, Mark, never ever ever called me back. I bugged the hell out of him for about a year because he needed to fax me a copy of some paperwork and he never did. Now i’m out $ 400 dollars because of that. (long story).
When they did my larger repair, I also had them repair a broken side mirror. They did a total half ass job, using substandard parts. I can barely adjust this mirror. When I mentioned it, they said «we only charged you $ 80 dollars for that, what did you expect?».
Fuck them.
