You could NOT possibly find a more incompetent, outrageously sloppy Customer Service than COMCAST! They quote you one price and when you go to pay the price is always substantially MORE!

I am usually never satisfied with the service I receive from Comcast customer service. Again, upon an unsatisfying phone call with a customer service representative, I decided to try to solve my problem in person. Jamal was very helpful. He listened to my problem carefully, presented me with options to solve it, and then solved my problem! He was also extremely pleasant.

Horrible… Horrible…Horrible…Horrible…Absolute nightmare in Florida… They do not even deserve a 1 star.

Great location, nice showroom but the staff is unpleasant at best.
The staff provided service as requested but no hello, no thank you, no goodbye.
Comcast hires cheap labor, provides cheap service at a high cost. I’m officially cutting the cord.

Absolutely the worst wifi service i’ve ever encountered. We don’t have a very large apartment and the longest interval of time i’ve had consistent wifi is 10 minutes today. It is like this all day every day, it does not matter if it is a «peak traffic time» like at night. Awful. Do not use this provider.

The worst people to deal with, rude, impolite, unhelpful, and they work for an EVIL corporation that scams people out of money.
I cannot wait for another Internet provider in Brighton to arrive so we can drop them completely.
If you can avoid using them at all I would highly recommend it.

So I bought my own modem because paying $ 10 a month to rent is a total waste for a $ 70 item. They took the $ 10 off charge the first month and then added it back on the next. I auto pay and didnt look at my bill for 24 months. Then I see the charge, call them, confirm that on their records it states I own the modem, ask for a refund and they say, «Nope, you have 30 days to dispute» They admit it was their fault, that they were stealing for 2 yrs. Lame

After reading several reviews I was petrified to go into service center to return two pieces of equipment. However I found the service quite good and the representative friendly. I arrived two minutes before the store officially opened, but the door was already unlocked and the woman at the counter ready to help me. While I admit my service need was rather basic, I was in and out in under two minutes.

Hell is a more desirable option than this Comcast location.
My order for Comcast equipement over the phone never came, so I had to come to this Comcast Allston location for equipement. Ended up making 3 trips (and will probably have to make a 4^th trip) —- they gave us completely wrong equipment, then equipment that didn’t work because it was still linked to another customer’s account. Completely unacceptable, particularly for those of us that work full-​time, and occasionally need the ability to work from home and therefore need Internet.
Workers here are not proactive and they are lazy. As we returned faulty equipment on our 3^rd trip, they insisted we would still have problems and asked us to come back a 4^th time. No offer to send a technician on-​site, no offers to compensate us for all the time we wasted after 4 trips.

Comcast is ridicules! All I see are bad reviews! I cancelled my service a month ago, and I double checked. It said I owed the over $ 200! Before that they had someone call me about boosting my service, when I said no, and they did it anyway! They seriously have the worst customer service.

The service is unreliable, customer support is horrible, they somehow manage to establish monopoly in a few areas. The representatives are rude, they came and did so much damage to the walls in our building we had to have construction team fix it.

I think I managed to acquire a sexually transmitted disease by visiting the Comcast office in Allston /​Brighton. Not sure how that’s possible since I didn’t touch another person (don’t worry, the Comcast employee is protected behind a glass divider so you can’t strangle them when they tell you «No, I’m sorry I can’t help you»). Maybe it was because Comcast requires every single person they hire to be just absolutely filthy and even looking at them is contagious?
Anyways, I digress. Let’s discuss my recent visit to this location.
Step by step:
1. Comcast telephone support informs me that my DOCSIS 2.0 cable modem is «end of life» and I needed to upgrade to a DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem «at the low cost of $ 8.99 per month!»
2. I told them to fuck off because I am paying for Comcast’s 8 megabytes/​second internet, and DOCSIS 2.0 can handle up to 42 megabytes/​second.
3. They told me I had to go to the store.
4. I went to the store, explained the situation, and was told that she needed to «check with technical support» on the telephone. Meaning she called the same people that told me that I needed to go in store to resolve the issue.
5. We walked around in this circle for 15 minutes until I was informed that I needed to call technical support on the telephone to resolve the issue.
As you can see, Comcast encourages you to enter into an infinite loop of time wasting and employees that failed out of your local high school.
Thanks Comcast! You’re the best!

Watch out for their newest bad faith sales tacitc: I called in to inquire about installing their security system a week ago. After talking to the sales agent he kept trying to force the system on me and even suggested sending a «trial kit» that will be free of charge for 30 days. I specifically told him no and still was sent this «trial kit». I then found out my account was charged approximately $ 150 until I returned the kit. Unbelievable! I also called and asked to talk to a manager and was put on hold for 49 minutes only to be told no one was available and that someone would call me back. Still no returned call… Please watch out for their newest, bad faith, unethical, sales tactic.

I wish negative numbers were an option here. I got solicited to sign up for their holiday deal, and I end up receiving a bill for the full price without any of the promotions that were promised to me. After spending 2 hours on the phone, I was literally told that I was lied to… And have to go and waste more time to return all my equipment.

While this Comcast branch has helped me to the best of their ability, Comcast’s service isn’t always good. I frequently find OnDemand doesn’t work during peak hours. At $ 180 a month for cable and Internet, that’s not acceptable. What’s worse? They don’t have ²⁴⁄₇ ability to change services.
So again, this branch is just fine in my experience. When the service works as advertised (which is about ²⁄₃ of the time) it’s great. But the service (for all it does right) does major things wrong and they need to be fixed or I’ll use my money to support a smaller company who consistently gives me what they advertise.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said? It’ll make you lose yourself in violent fantasies where you repeatedly and gruesomely slaughter a corporeal embodiment of Comcast.
This place isn’t better or worse than the Comcast customer service phone line. You’d think being able to talk to a human being
(my god. there are human beings who WORK here. let’s have a moment of silence for them. it’s not their fault their company’s customer service policy is 404 Not Found)
would accomplish more, but that’s a lie. There is no better alternative when you’re with Comcast. It’s all shit. Good luck.

For me to rate something one star means that it is truly, truly horrible. I think this might be my only one star review.
I used to pay a lot of money for phone, internet, and cable. I had nothing but problems with them whenever there was a tech issue or an install. They were perfectly nice on the phone, but then nothing would ever get done. They would lie about sending someone and I’d take time off from work only to have no one show up. Then I would receive a call saying that they had come by but I wasn’t home, which was absolute manure. This happened at least three times.
As an example: I had a truck come through my neighborhood and it tore down the cable to my house. I had no phone, no internet, no anything. I called Comcast and it took a total of EIGHT phone calls and a WEEK to get it fixed. Everytime they said they’d send someone, they didn’t.
When I wanted to get things installed at my new residence, they said they would be there in a specific window. So I took time off work and waited. And waited, and waited, only to receive a call that said «sorry we missed you, please call to reschedule.» WTF? That happened THREE times.
I finally had enough and cancelled. Luckily I have RCN in my area and they have been fantastic. Comcast is just the worst.

OBNOXIOUS waits on the phone for HORRIBLE customer service representatives. This is my fourth time on the phone with them and because they added a service and lied to me, I now am thrown out of my original promo and have to pay MORE MONEY.
AGAIN, DO NOT GET THIS SERVICE.

The worst customer service I have dealt with from ANY company I have had business with.
After suffering through a tragic fire which most of my belongings were destroyed, and after finding a new home, I called Comcast to set up a new installation in my new residence. I explained what happened and was told I would be waived the cost for the lost cable boxes and I would actually be receiving a credit of $ 59 because I had paid ahead of time. Excellent, I thought.
Two weeks after the installation and I receive a letter from Comcast. I am thinking it is a check for $ 59. Nope. Instead, it is a bill for $ 301.00. They had charged me $ 360.00 for cable boxes and had credited me $ 59.00. $ 360.00 for cable boxes that they will never use again anyway. I called customer service and spoke with a supervisor immediately. I again, explained the situation I was in and told her that I was already promised that any costs for the destroyed cable boxes would be waived. She would not budge.
I had been a loyal Comcast customer for over 5+ years and had paid my bill on time every month. My entire life is practically destroyed in a fire, and this is how Comcast shows their sympathy? By outright lying to my face to extend my service, then by sending me a bill for $ 360 for worthless boxes?
I spent the past weekend rummaging through ashes and memories lost forever to find Comcast their precious boxes so they can take their ludicrous charge off of my bill.
Note to people with Comcast — if you ever have a fire, forget your loved ones… Comcast believes the priority is on cable boxes!
After finding the cable boxes, all in tact, and after cleaning them up myself, I return the boxes in person to Comcast, only to be told; «They smell like smoke and might not be able to take them back». Fine. I will NEVER pay them for these boxes.
I will GLADLY look forward to my day in Court.

I am literally shaking in my chair as I write this review because I am so enraged with Comcast. If we didn’t already sign the two year lease I would immediately cancel my services and switch to Verizon. I have never dealt with such incompetency and rudeness before, and this is all over the 50 $ that they tried to scam us over.
We lived in Brighton and had Comcast for a year, and when my BF and I signed the lease, they said we could transfer our services over to where ever we moved without any charges. They did not mention any fees about this until a year later, when my bf and I moved to Newton. They sprung up a 100 $ extra installation fee for moving, but told us over the phone they would be doing us a «favor» by giving us a 50 $ discount. I was already peeved about this extra charge but figured I could live with it.
Comcast was scheduled to arrive at our house on Saturday, June 1^st between 1 – 3 pm. Our good friend’s graduation was that day, but we had to miss the beginning half of it because we had to wait at home for Comcast. At 3 pm, no one had showed up nor called us. WE called Comcast, and they told us they would be late, but did not know what time they could come. We decided to reschedule because we did not want to miss all of the graduation party. On the phone, the customer representative (Gary), was actually incredibly nice, and he said he would waive all installation charges and throw in SHOTIME for free. I also rescheduled for Comcast to come on that Wednesday and asked repeatedly whether they were SURE that someone would come between the hours of 1 – 3 pm because I would have to take time off of work. Gary said that they would definitely be there between 1 – 3 pm on Wednesday.
Lo-​and-​behold, it’s Wednesday and I have requested 5 hours of PTO to stay at home to wait for the Comcast guy. YET AGAIN, they did not show up. I had to call Comcast at 3 pm and they said they were running late. (I could have stayed at work for an extra two hours). The Comcast guy finally showed up at 3:50 pm. He was not friendly at all, and it took him two hours to install the cable because he was on his phone most of the time texting. I was incredibly annoyed because they screwed us over TWICE.
Then a few days later I tried to put in a complaint to customer service for wasting my time, and because their website guarantees freebies if they miss their scheduled time. I talked to multiple people and they were of no help. They said they would throw in Shotime (Which we still do not have), and then pretended like they had NO RECOLLECTION of waiving the installation charges.
My bf has been on the phone with them for about an hour now going back and forth about how they promised to waive the 50 $ installation fee, and Comcast is seriously trying to deny this. OVER 50 $. They won’t waive the fee now. It is an absolute joke. I don’t know who the supervisor is over there, but this has turned into a nightmare. They have wasted an hour of our time because they won’t give us what they promised. I am not sure how they run their business, but it is SO WRONG.
I am appalled at how Comcast is still in business.
Once our lease is up, I will IMMEDIATELY be switching over to Verizon. THANK GOD I do not live in the city anymore and do not have to be forced to use such terrible services.
