I sent my wife to get a rayon 15 amps breaker. She asked a older guy who should know help her and he sold her a breaker that wasn’t a eaton. She took it back and the kid said what he sold her was anot a eaton but would work. What a idiot. She found what we needed. You go there make sure you don’t ask a old doesn’t mean he knows what the freak he talking about. It cost time and $$. Lowes is across the street. Maybe he should greet people at the door and help me take their purchases out to their car.

The toilets are kept clean but the stall walls and floors are gross… Lack of proper cleansing. Other than that everything you’d expect from a home depot

Home Depot(Allen Store # 6502) recommended and called an AC repair company, Extreme Comfort | | Work Order # 1 – 5988132334. When that AC company overcharged us for the work and parts, Home Depot(Nicole — Installation Dept) defended the right of the AC company to charge exorbitant amounts($ 318 for a $ 4 capacitor). The AC company also refused to honor a valid, unexpired coupon for $ 29.95(Trip Charge, First ½ Hour Diagnostic AND First pound of R-22). The Allen Store’s Assistant Manager, Billy, called Extreme Comfort; but they just blew him off. *** A complaint has since been filed with the Better Business Bureau vs. Extreme Comfort. ___ I do NOT trust ANY of the AC repair companies. But I DID implicitly trust Home Depot. I trusted that they had some kind of control over the workmanship, pricing, warranties, business practices of their«agent» /«recommended, certified contractors». You would think that Home Depot would have screened or vetted their«certified» contractors; and that they would have any leverage in any kind of dispute. Home Depot is impotent in this kind of setting. It appears that our trust in Home Depot was sorely misplaced. ___ Do NOT hire a contractor just because they’re recommended by Home Depot.

I’ve been shopping here for years and never had a bad experience until yesterday when I went to purchase mulch that was on sale. When I arrived at the store I was told they were out of stock. However, when I went to the area of the store containing the product, I saw approximately 50 bags on display. I returned to the sales person who had told me they were out of stock and she proceeded to argue with me. It was only after speaking to the manager on duty that I was able to make the purchase. The entire ordeal took approximately an hour and no apologies were made.

Out of all the times I have been here I have had one rude customer experience but luckily another coworker saw the girl was being rude and corrected her. I get all my paint here and anything else home related because everyone is so helpful and friendly at Lowe’s across the street I don’t get that warm welcome. This is definitely a great place with knowledgeable staff.

Went to the store to get a water heater, asked one of the guy to help my 60 year-old dad lift it to the trolley. Waited about 10 mins, no one came. Asked someone else, waited for another 10 mins, still no one came. At the end, my old dad just moved the heater himself. Not very good customer experience in my opinion.

I had the rudest experience with a cashier today. I just finished buying two cabinets at their customers service desk, which was located at the front of their store. Although there was an exit next to the service desk, it was entry only. I made my way toward the cashiers’ checkout and found a lane that was unoccupied to avoid hassling through the busy lanes. As I made my way out, this cashier comes out of nowhere and shouted/demanded that I show her my proof of purchase. I calmly pointed where I came from and that there is a bag that contained cabinet strews with the receipt inside. After examining the receipt for 10 seconds, she looked at me and said thanks as other costumers stared at the interaction. I can understand her asking me about the receipt, but she should have some sense of decorum when dealing with such situation. I spoke to the manager about it and only hope the manager addresses it with the staff there.

I’m a regular at this particular Home Depot everything almost everything is great except one tiny thing. Product knowledge !!! I had to go 4 times back to back because every employee I asked about what I was looking for gave me a different answer to the same question and all were wrong I had to google what I was looking for to get better answers. I wish they just say they don’t know better than giving out wrong info. But I like it and not going to change to another store.

I’m becoming quite the regular at Home Depots all over Allen/Plano area. From the bath department, to doors, windows, yard, paint and electrical, I’ve seen it all! Each Home Depot is fully staffed for your convenience moving lines and returns along at a quick pace. In addition there are very friendly, and happy, employees all over the place just waiting for you to ask for help. From outlet covers, to carbon monoxide monitors, to drywall anchors, tension rods, outdoor lighting, gallons of paint and garage hanging racks, we’ve seen it all. Everything is priced competitively and we’ve yet to have any problems with our numerous returns(buying a house does that to a person). This Home Depot is no different. We will be back, and at the frequency which I’m already there, I’ll know each employee by name come 2015!

Nice store, great customer service. Not a fan of the Lowe’s across the street at all. I get my Christmas trees here sometimes and they always last a very long time.

It may not always be the case, but I had a great experience on my most recent trip to this Home Depot. I came to get some materials for my contractor who was re-tiling my shower. I had a pretty short list which included grout, some other bucket of stuff I cant remember the name of, and a shower door. There was no one in the immediate area of the shower doors, but I found someone nearby who was happy to help me. I had a regular cart which wouldn’t hold the shower door, so he offered to bring it to the front for me, told me where he would leave it, and said he would be happy to help me take it to my car when I was ready to check out. Then I went to the area where the grout and other stuff was. Another gentleman was also extremely helpful, making sure I got the correct products, and helping me pick the grout I wanted. Then when it was time to check out, yet another gentleman was at the register, who after checking me out, shut down his register to carry the shower door to my truck, and he loaded the other items into the back for me as well. Such great service!

I’ll be honest: I prefer the«blue box» over Home Depot. For one thing, it seems like every«blue box» I’ve been in has been cleaner and better kept than almost every Home Depot I’ve been in. HD also isn’t as good with, um, odor control from all of those lawn and garden products. Having said that, this store(right across the street from a «blue box») is as good or better than most, and does stock a lot of merchandise. It’s fairly easy to get to and has lots of convenient parking. The staff has always been helpful and checkout is usually fast as well.
