Beverly «Bev» helped me hunt for a house over the last 6 months and she has been GREAT. I wish 6 stars was an option. Here’s some of my experience working with her.
–Since most realtors work on commission, I’m naturally leery that they will attempt to sell me a lemon. But Bev truly wanted me to find a home in a good city and neighborhood that would hold its value and easily resale in the long run. I knew she was trustworthy when she actually talked me out of one house due to its location.
–One of the houses we looked at needed a lot of repairs. Bev did a LOT of work rounding up quotes from a lot of different contractors and took time to review each one with me. Ultimately we agreed to not purchase the home, which means she did all that work for no commission. If I had done all that work for no pay, I would have been frustrated, but Bev was unfazed. Still just as friendly and diligent as ever.
–She always returned my emails/​calls promptly and explained everything in simple, clear terms. That may sound like a little detail, but nothing is more aggravating than poor communication. When closing time came around, and I was dealing with the lender, this was especially valuable.
I’m sure I could go on if I thought about it some more. Ultimately, I found a home I’m very happy with. If you’re shopping/​selling for a home in the North Dallas area and want a diligent, knowledgeable, genuine person to guide you through the housing landscape, I highly recommend her.
