Great communication as to options and benefits by Shawn for our Carlsbad home. Since install, we have hard water issue no more and alkaline drinking water tastes so good. Had post install pipe vibration that installer Eric came back next business day to correct. Both Shawn and Eric offer professional approach that I’d recommend to anyone. No more bottled water here or constant calcination cleaning in showers, tubs and drains! Worth the money.

Had to go underneath my house the other day to check on something, happen to notice the installation on our water softening system and was blown away how clean and nice it was. Looked much better than I even thought before hand, well done Hugo!

Although I did not go with the Nuvia unit, I think it is one of the best. I had some space issues that forced me to look elsewhere. Regardless, Shawn is super professional and not too pushy.

I been researching for a water softener/​filter. I found Shawn on Unilocal and called to set up an appointment immediately. He was super friendly and gave me all the information I needed and answered all my question. Excellent service. Now as for the system itself, I can’t say enough good things about it. I’m extremely picky with my water. I’m a girl who loves soft skin, and soft hair with clean water to drink. I spend thousands of thousands of dollars on facial products. But I always felt my water was too hard so no matter how wonderful my products were, my hard water would still make my skin dry. Ever since I got the system, my skin is so soft. And I been using less and less products because my skin feels so good already! For my hair, I’m still waiting for the softness to kick in. But so far I couldn’t be happier with the system. We were please Shawn was there when we decided we needed a softener and a reverse osmosis system. We got a very fair price and Shawn was able to answer all our questions. The installation was easy and professional. There are other systems out there but we’d really recommend Waterwise based on price, service and the quick response you get to any questions. Finally got around to adding a water softener and RO system to our house that we bought two years ago. Based on the neighborhood recommendations and Unilocal reviews I made sure Shawn was on my list of vendors to consider. From beginning to end, Shawn was responsive, well-​organized, competitive on price, and super knowledgeable. I’m also very supportive of local small businesses and given Shawn is in Aliso Viejo I can’t get much more local!
Everything went well during the process. I was able to get the system installed two business days after I signed my contract and the installer was great and took great care to explain all my options to me on where and how he could place the equipment.
One week later I’m happy to report that the system is GREAT! everyone in my home loves the soft water for showers, dishes, etc. and the RO system is tied into our ice maker (see the pictures of my ice before and after — so much clearer!) to make great tasting ice as well as drinking water.

Water Wise is where it’s at!!!
We spent a good time researching the many water softeners and RO products on the market and decided to go with Water Wise. There are similar technology and media in these products, but what made the decision easy was the owner Shawn. Shawn was very informative and confident behind his product and his company.
When we narrowed it down, it was water wise or Ecowater from Costco (as costco stands behind their products and we always have had a good experience with purchasing high-​price items from costco. However, Ecowater did not have a life-​time warranty and when I looked on the consumer reports, many unfinished service resolutions.
It is evident that he stands behind his product and customer service as it clearly shows in the reviews. I personally contacted the reviewers on Unilocal to see if they could elaborate on their experience and if they had done any research with other manufacturers. The consensus was the same and the responses all let to «look no further, water wise and Shawn is the way to go!»
Here are some factors (in no particular orders) that makes water wise a great choice if you are in the market for a water softener and RO system.
1. Shawn informative, confident and not pushy in selling his product as he stands behind it.
2. Spent time talking about Water wise and the Nuvia system — not bashing competitors.

7. Doing the walk-​thru with Shawn at our home he gave options and explained how it would all work and be installed not leaving us confused and unsure.
8. Openly gave personal contact info in the event there should be a problem in the future, he confirmed he is available.
Lastly, the installer Hugo was great! Professional, took his time to do a clean job and answered every question about the product. If you go with water wise, ask for HUGO!
I promise you will not be disappointed with this decision!

I have been wanting a water softener and reverse osmosis for a couple of years. However my husband was not as convinced. We recently purchased a home with a tankless water heater, which made both of us want to start investigating a home water softener system. It’s a little bit overwhelming, and there are a lot of options out there. I spoke to a few companies, and after reading the stellar reviews regarding Waterwise, I gave Shawn a call. I did not feel like I was being upsold, but I did feel like I was getting relevant and detailed information about what I might want or need in a whole home system.
We ended up purchasing a Nuvia Pro system plus RO with an alkaline filter. I could not be happier with the system and the service! Shawn is attentive, follows through and pays attention to all details of the job. We wanted to get the system installed before moving from Aliso Viejo to Newport Beach, and he was very accommodating with scheduling. Hugo did our installation, and could not have been nicer or more knowledgeable. From start to finish (all within less than a week) the process has been seamless.
We now have fabulous soft water, and amazing high quality drinking water. My husband is happy that our plumbing and water heater are being spared the hard water and I am happy that my shower, appliances, hair and skin are getting soft water! We bought a whole house water filtration system — NuviaPro & Summit Alkaline system from them, and have enjoyed it since day one. The water really tastes great, plain and simple. Pouring a fresh, clean tasting glass of water straight out of the tap is awesome. We highly recommend Waterwise Solutions to anyone looking for a quality water filtration system for home.

it was a pleasure working with Shawn and Hugo from waterwise. they installed the system at my parents house a week ago and we can already feel the difference in our water quality.

All I can say is WOW! After an exhaustive amount of research and many questions answered I decided on Waterwise/​Nuvia Pro System for my whole house water filtration, water softener and RO drinking system. I found them on the Unilocal and Shawn was very informative and patient with all my questions. All they do is water treatment, as oppose to others who were just plumbers pushing the systems they get a discount on. In addition, all these plumbers just seemed «slick», not to mention overpriced. The guys at Waterwise Solutions (Shawn, Hugo and Bill) were professional throughout the whole process. The team was diligent, responsive, meticulous and experienced and it shows in the quality of the installation. There was an issue with installing the custom faucet due to the tight space underneath the sink which was completely out of their control (I blame my builder). I was utterly amazed of how Shawn handled the issue… he could have walked away and just blame the builder but he didn’t! Shawn provided a resolution which Hugo came out to resolve the issue. Shawn took the «it may not be our fault, but it is our problem — to solve» approach! That’s accountability! Taking ownership of the situation, whether it be good or bad.
We really love our soft water and alkaline drinking water and I cannot say enough about these guys. Waterwise Solutions is like the «Nordstrom» in the water filtration industry, Shawn runs a business with superior customer service as his main priority which is a cornerstone of what makes Nordstrom Inc. a top retailer. Thank you soooooo much Shawn and crew for the amazing product!

We have the Nuvia Pro and reverse osmosis systems for about a month, and couldn’t be happier. Just before having this installed, we got a tankless water heater. In reading the warranty info for the water heater, without the filtration system in this area, the warranty would be only good for half the original. All of our water appliances are now reaping the benefit of cleaner, softer water. The water looks and tastes so much better. One of the features I love about this system is that I can adjust the softness level to our comfort. It is very easy to use and maintain, and takes up less space in the garage than our old water heater tank. The 2 guys that came out for the install were professional, knowledgeable, and cleaned up after themselves.

I spent a good 6 months researching water softeners and was starting to get overloaded with information. Do I go with a salt system or a salt free system? Do I go with a system that doesn’t use electricity or one that does, etc. Shawn @ Waterwise Solutions came over and patiently explained the differences of the systems without talking about specific products which made me feel that I wasn’t getting «sold» on a system. Even after the initial discussion, I would have additional questions and Shawn was more than happy to answer all of them. Never did I feel like he was pressuring me to made a decision.
When we finally made the commitment, Shawn scheduled the install immediately (within 4 days) and was able to work around my crazy schedule. Hugo (the installer) did a phenomenal job with the installation and everything was clean and tidy. I wish that all contractors that did the quality of work Hugo did.
Fast forward a few months, we have had no problems with our systems (both the Nuvia whole house system and reverse osmosis system) and are very pleased with the way that our skin and hair feel after showers. We also noticed a significant decrease in soap scum build up on our glass shower doors.
For anyone looking for a water softener, I still think you should do your research, but at the end, I think that you’ll get the most useful information from talking to Shawn without feeling pressured.

Just had installed two weeks ago. I actually had three different companies come to my house in Aliso Viejo. I actually got recommendations about all three that’s how I narrowed it down. But after talking to Shawn it was a no brainer. The other guys seemed like used car salesmen, kind of slimy in their approach, like «you don’t need to look at anyone else» sort of mentality. The pricing all came in very close, but Shawn was the deal breaker for me…
Process went smooth from date of purchase to install. I had a few questions after the fact as well, and he returned my call call promptly, and was asking what I thought of Nuvia, etc… it’s hard finding these types of companies to do business with anymore, but they’re out there, you just have to do a little homework…

After researching several water solution companies, and interviewing several people we finally decided to choose Waterwise. Shawn was informative and also very easy to work with. He is not only efficient but also very customer service oriented. As for the Nuvia water system so far we have had it for one month and it is working beautifully performing all of the functions Shawn explain to us during our meeting. The installer Hugo was amazing, he was professional, speedy, very polite and clean (no mess after work)…can’t ask for a better installer.
Did I mentioned that not only did we install with in 48 hours after we agree to purchase the system, but Hugo was able to find a leak in my house that I would have never noticed until it was too late. Shawn who was on site at the time to ensure that the install was EXACTLY what we had talked about was able to find me a GREAT plumber to help fix my leak (they were at my house within 2 hours and replace some pipes within 2 hours!). Talk about going above and beyond!!!
I personally think most of the water softening and cleaning system are very similar not much very unique technology the Key is finding a good company to work with and I believe we were fortunate to find one!

I have had my new system from Waterwise for almost two weeks and I absolutely love it. Not only are there no water spots on the glass shower enclosure, my dishes come out of the dishwasher without streaks and spots. My skin and hair are much softer.
I had been purchasing alkaline water but with my new system not only do I have a reverse osmosis system, but I have amazing alkaline water. My drinking water and ice tastes so much better. I am so glad I chose Waterwise.
