Barker and Sons Plumbing & Rooter Orange County is a family owned and operated business made up of four generations of plumbers. We have over 30 years in business and have had the privilege of serving thousands of customers across Orange County. Barker & Sons has a long history of superior customer service. I was very happy with B&S’s service. Setting the appointment was easy and quick (she was very courteous and friendly). The technician, Will, arrived on time and was a really nice, funny, and knowledgeable plumber — with over 20 years of experience. We had our toilet clogged and he clearly explained what was needed and the price. He also made sure the job was done to my satisfaction and he gave me good advice on how to prevent future clogs. I highly recommend Barker and Sons.

A week after we hired a company to clean our outdoor drains on 12/​28, we had two big, muddy floods on 1⁄5 & 1/​6, which almost went into our house. The company that cleaned the drains on 12⁄28 came back out and tried to clean more but their conclusion was that there was either a poorly installed drain somewhere or there was just too much rain. As flooding is not an option for the future (and never was in the past), I HAD to find out the problem. I feared the worst (crushed pipes somewhere). I searched and hired a professional drain cleaning company, Barker and Sons. I first paid for a camera inspection which revealed that the pipes are all fine BUT were almost 80% blocked with mud. They used diesel powered high pressure hydro jetting (instead of a hose). They got everything out! And they applied the cost of the camera to the cleaning. I am SO relieved finally! I highly recommend them and would have saved $ 800 if I hired them in the first place!

After waiting all day for another plumbing company. I decided to call Barker & Sons
They had a technician out within 45 mins.
Cleared my drain and I could not be more happy with the service or how professional he was. I will definitely call them again if I ever need a plumber. Later that evening I received a call to make sure everything was working fine and if I had any complaints or questions. Awesome customer service.

I received 2 quotes from them that was very high for the amount of work being done. The first quote was over $ 700 — very few materials. I asked the tech how long he thought it would take to complete the work and he said about 2 hours. This breaks down to over $ 300 per hour. The second quote was for roughly $ 550 — which he said he was giving me a deal on. This required a $ 50 to $ 120 part and 2 added solder connections in addition to the first quote. I estimate the second quote to take 15 minutes to a half an hour to complete — breaking down to about +$ 600 per hour. The tech pulled tools from his truck confident he had the work, and I sent him away. The 2 quotes combined were about $ 1300, for maybe $ 150 in parts +2.5 hours of labor. I called another plumber out and received a quote for $ 750 for the same work.
Barker and Sons has a price book they follow instead of quoting actual time and material (scam rates — used to capture people with emergency needs). Do yourself a favor and obtain at least 2 quotes before having any work done.

Frank and Kevin came to our home today for multiple plumbing issues. They were quick and honest! In fact, after quoting and agreeing on price, Frank let us know that our tub was an easy fix, so he would not be charging us for the tub after all. How refreshing to have an honest company that doesn’t charge for services we don’t need! Their prices were reasonable and the service was great! We definitely recommend Frank, Kevin, and Barker and Sons for all your plumbing needs!

I continue to use them because they have great customer service, clean, friendly and honest plumbers and I feel very comfortable with them in my home. I called Barker and Sons because of their Unilocal rating. The two men were called to clear out my outdoor drains. They patiently figured out the drainage and where the water was directed. I didn’t know and it wasn’t obvious. They then went to work and did a thorough job on my property, which is quite large. I would not hesitate to use this company again!

FAST, COURTEOUS & COMPETENT. I had a water leak in the copper piping in the ceiling of my garage. The leak resulted in water soaking the ceiling drywall and dripping to the garage floor. I called Barker & Sons. Within 45 minutes of my call, Dominic arrived. He spent considerable time locating the leak, and then replaced a section of the pipe that had a pin hole. All in all, the job took 4 hours. Dominic was very hard working and courteous throughout the process and gave me a senior discount which was greatly appreciated. I recommend Barker & Sons, and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

We could not be more pleased with the services Barker and Sons provided us in resolving a drainage issue in our back patio. In particular, we are grateful to Frank Vega, who was punctual, honest, and excellent in communicating with us from the moment we met him. He was patient, answered all our questions, and was extremely conscientious in overseeing our job. Frank could not have been more fair and honest in assessing our drainage problem and offering us the most sensible and economical solution.
Although Barker and Sons did everything possible to help us avoid it, we ended up having to have our drainage system redone. (The reason for this had nothing to do with Barker and Sons.) This was a fairly extensive job that took several crew members to complete over the span of about a week. The crew was extremely reliable, punctual, efficient, clean, polite, and they completed the work with expertise and precision.
We would absolutely use Barker and Sons again and would recommend them to anyone requiring plumbing services.

Overall, I pleased with the work done at my home. I would have given Barker and Sons 5 stars, but this requires a little explanation.
Let me start off by saying the person handling the phones (Missy) was very nice and professional. The plumber (Steven) was also very nice and professional. He was very knowledgeable and gave me some good advice. He was a 5 star plumber in my opinion. Also, the company has an A+ rating with Better Business Bureau.
Here is why I gave 3 stars. I took half day off work for this appointment (between 9am and 11am). During that time, I received a call that they could not make it «because the plumber was stuck at another job.» Getting time off work is not easy for me. So, I agreed to reschedule for a Saturday. On Friday, I got a call from the company that again, they had to reschedule for a later time. I was unable to and asked to cancel the service request. Missy was very apologetic and later worked something out with me so I could get service on Saturday morning. So, at least that worked out. My only other gripe, was they were pricey. I only needed a kitchen faucet replaced and I supplied the hardware. They charged $ 350 for that. For a plumber, that was a very simple job. My bad shoulder prevented me from doing the job myself.
Because of how much the service call cost me, I do not know if I will use them again.

I was referred to Barker and Sons by a neighbor for outdoor drain clearing. Everything from
the phone call to set an appt (I spoke to Missy) to the technician coming to my home was top notch! Missy was very helpful and polite and accomodating for my calendar, follow up the day of my service was great (she called after the service call ended.) Johnny was EXCELLENT! knowledgable about the type of clearing I needed, and was passionate about his job he provides. He would not leave until my drains were clear and it took hours. He returned the next morning with the camera to give us a look at what is causing blockages (roots of course) Our drains are clear now! Super Happy! recommend them with 5 stars!
Most regular plumbers have no idea how to get this job done! I was so thankful for Barker and Sons!

I experienced really good service from Barker rooter on 8÷13÷15. My patio drains were blocked, and the unusual layout presented all kinds of problems with clearing out. Prior bidders did not know what to do, and quoted high prices to see what could be done.
Barker rep. FRANK VEGA came out on the day I called. He knew exactly what was needed, and had the specialty equipment to get the job done. Within two days the drains were clear for the first time in many years. I am very pleased.

I had a great experience with Parker and Sons plumbing. I am a very busy professional and I believe this company did their best to accommodate me. Johnny came out within the timeframe I was told, he was very professional, and he completed the job quickly. To my knowledge the job seems satisfactory. Very happy with the service of Barker and Sons. Quick appointment and very friendly employees. Johnny was very knowledgeable and explained what was needed to clean our pool/​/​irrigation drains and why. I had an emergency plumbing problem, on a Sunday, with water gushing from the hot water tank in my garage. Barker and Sons actually answered the phone and was able to provide emergency service and stop the water flow. The followup during the week by Missy and subsequent visits by plumber Steven for a new tank was wonderful. I have seldom seen such proper followup and prompt attention from any service provider. This is how it should be! Steven, from Barker and Sons, was efficient, knowledgeable, professional.
