The Home Depot

This is a review about their employee, Alexander Minjares, not the store in general. I was waiting in line for the cashier, when the customer in front of me dropped her paint can on the floor, and the paint splattered all over me and my clothes. Instead of trying to help, the cashier in the next lane, Alexander Minjares literally started making fun of me. Seriously! Complete lack of empathy, and humanity. Another employee, Martha Clarke brought wipes and water to try to help me get the paint off. All this time, Alexander continued to relentlessly make fun of me in front of everyone, even after I told him I would be speaking to their manager, Eric. When Eric showed up, that was when Alexander finally stopped making fun of me. The complete utter callous and cruel behavior by their employee Alexander Minjares was absolutely horrifying.

I’ve been coming to this location on and off for about a year now. I actually come here most for their kids workshop. It’s the first Saturday if each month and it’s entirely free. Recently they made it so that you need to register online to ensure a spot but you can still just show up. I’m not sure what the recommended age range is but the crowd seems to be 10 – 12 or below. Around the holidays they sometimes have a workshop that’s a little more ‘turnt’ for the kids, free food, promotional items, etc. It’s pretty dope.
I used to do this my self like 20 years ago and it’s cool to be able to bring my little family members here to watch them do the same thing.
All and all the service here is great be it for the workshop or shopping.

One of the worst shopping experience ever! I went in to the store pro desk to place my order for bathrooms remodel; even some of the items that I wanted were not sold in store but the staff told me that they could still order them of me as special order, so I did.
I placed my order on ¹⁄₉ and I let the staff knew very clearly that I needed my order to be delivered on ¹⁄₁₉ when so that my contractor could start work. Staff promised it would be done even the special order might take extra time to arrive, the order will be delivered on time. So when I called on ¹⁄₁₈ to confirm the delivery next day, I was mad that they didn’t have my order ready. I ran into the store just to find the person helped me to place the order out (in fact, I never see him again in the following days that I need to get in and fix my order) and everyone at the pro desk seemed so lost.
I was trying to locate my order of two bathtubs which absolutely had to go in on ¹⁄₁₉ and were in stock when I placed my order. The staffs in Alhambra store checking stock online and told me that there were none in any stores nearby (plus they were not prepared to provide me with any kind of help what so ever) but my contractor was able to get them in the Industry store.
Anyway, this is a total nightmare! I would never go back to Home Depot for any of my home improvement projects. I rather pay for delivery on Amazon since they have much better customer service.

This place is trash. Remedial workers with retarded question. I’m returning a bag of thinset and asks what’s wrong with it? Are you that F’ing retarded? Obvious it’s left over material from project plus the bag is not even open how da fuck would I know what’s wrong with it. And returning 4 tiles dumb ass says I can’t return it because 5 came in a box… Really? And I tell them hey you need to label it more clearly so people will know which one only able to return in boxes. Dumb bitch tells me we never have this problem… Oh that’s straight BS saying everyone knows which one able to return in boxes and which one can return individually. You are a straight liar and won’t amount to nothing more.

Usually have everything we need, prices seem fair.
Staff are helpful when you can find them, customers are usually hollering for one, haha.
One star lost when their website said they carried an item but when we were there they didn’t have it…

This Home Depot is like all the others — if you don’t know what you’re looking for or if you need help getting something you’ll be there for some time waiting. When I go to Home Depot — I know what I want and where it’s at, but if I need something that I may not be sure they have it — I’ll usually go to Lowes or Orchard Supply.

Prob the best Home Depot I’ve been to. Super clean and the employees beyond helpful. Their garden section is big and they have so much variety with their plants. This will def be my go to Home Depot!

2^nd year in a row picking up our Xmas tree at this location. Last yr is was just me and hubby with our two lil kids so the tree staff did a nice job loading up and tying the tree on the Odyssey for us.
This yr we had no help… so I assumed they didn’t help load the trees anymore?, BUT it was actually because we had 3 men in our group this time… soooooo that’s why there was no offer to help (which was ok since we really didn’t need it this time)…I did see that they we were helping women load up the trees.
Plenty of options on the trees to choose… from small front porch/​table top trees to really big trees. We got the 5 – 6′ tree Noble Fur again. This year the tree was much fuller than last yrs. and I’m glad we were able to pick one out pretty quick. Now the whole smells piney =).

I was given the wrong directions on where to go twice by the employees because they did not wait to here my entire question. Parking is pretty tight. overall even the cashier was not very helpful.
This home depot suffers from lack of employee training.
In my opinion it is the worst of the home depots in los angeles.

I really dig this Home Depot, and I can’t wait to own a home someday so I could come here more often.
Maybe it’s just the dork in me, but I really enjoy upgrading my living space, and shopping for appliances.
The reason I really like this Home Depot is because there’s always plenty of parking, lots of helpful employees roaming the store, and even a food truck outside with good food.
I have purchased many things from this Home Depot, and know they have a good return policy. I was even able to buy a mini fridge that was on display, for a quarter of the price. That was awesome!
I definitely recommend this Home Depot if you need to purchase any appliances or have any projects to work on. Never had an issue here.

Welll, the hot dogs smell good. There is the usual crowd of day-​laborers… And a motor cycle cop waiting near the drive way. Maybe he’s there to catch people that pick up the laborers. This store always seems busy, I went in to make a return and to check out the latest things that I don’t need but might want to buy. There always seems to be action in the parking lot, from the guy selling fruit from the back of his truck,. To people loading their cars or trucks. The lot seems congested,. With too many cars, and bits of dry wall here and there but that’s part of what makes this location interesting.

Love coming to Home Depot for the supplies I need — whether it’s renovating the whole house or a DIY project. In this case, I was DIYing my new bathroom, yay!!! I like coming to this Home Depot on my way back from work whenever I’m in the Alhambra area.
I got new towel racks as well as paint colors for the wall (painted white walls) and painted the bathroom cabinet in Chocolate Therapy color and got new handles for cabinet doors too. I also got a 2 in 1 shower head for my shower too.
Employees here are nice — helpful when asked and just a quick hello when passing by each other while I go about my business.

This is a pretty standard Home Depot. The only difference with this particular location is the parking lot is smaller than usual. I would think on a busy day the lot can fill up quickly and you’ll have to cruise the isles to find a space.
Nothing really to report here…
Shopping area = clean
Service = average
Restroom = clean

Good service, usually stocked up on the things I need, including the guys outside the building that have done some work for me as well.

Service most days is pretty lacking. Workers always walk away from me. Not very helpful. With the exception of one time when and nice worker offered to help me carry and heavy box into to my car. Doesn’t happen often but it as very appreciated.
Place is doesn’t get too crowded… So that’s good

I only come here because it’s much closer to home. I usually get better service at Lowes but it’s so damn far. I needed to replace my sink and faucet so I came in here hoping to get some expert advice and consultation. I ended up being told that no one was available to assist me because the individual that covers this department is on lunch. How can you NOT have anyone available? I understand that people go on lunch all the time, but shouldn’t they cross-​train?
Anyway, the product selection here for kitchen sink bowls is terrible. You would think with so much high density living areas here, they would carry items that represent the type/​size of items that are in those units. For example, we have a over the top sink with measures of 24×21×9 but they only had one choice for us.
Shop online or shop elsewhere.

I tend to kill every plant I buy, so being able to take my dead plant back is great! (Keep your receipt when you buy plants, they have a one year warranty!)
The plants are reasonably priced, and they often have sales. I bough a couple of heirloom tomato plants for $ 2 each, as well as a couple berry bushes (blueberry and goji berry) for less than $ 8.
Parking is good here, the lot is big so I never have any trouble.
There are staff members walking around that you have to catch if you need help finding something, but for the most part, I usually know what I’m looking for and what area or general area it is in.
The lines outside in the garden area are usually fairly quick, they also have a self service checkout inside.

Generally, this Home Depot can be hit or miss.
It’s big and can be tough to find people to help you. I have found that you have to be aggressive and holler at someone as they walk by. However, I do need to send a huge shout out to Marcellus (?) who showed some super customer service. I was lost trying to find orchid soil, because, you know, they need special dirt and then got hung up looking at pretty flowers and deciding which one was the prettiest… when I asked Marcellus about a half dead one and what they do with them. We engaged in conversation (and I was happy to learn that some are tended to and revived rather than tossed) and he helped carry my items to the register. He was very gentlemanly and helpful. I really liked my experience shopping that day mostly because of my interaction with him. Although, I really do like home building supplies stores too for some reason… It’s like adult arts and crafts.
They have some random things there too, like holiday supplies and fresh cut flowers.
