The name may be spelled incorrectly but I still hope people can find this review. This is undoubtedly another favorite SoCal place that I have to hit up anytime I visit. In general, food in LA is cheaper and better than SF. It’s sad but true. Shiao May’s is a shining example of it. $ 124oz boba drinks! That is enough to bring me in. But I rarely get it because I’m so focused on the taiwanese shaved ice. I always get 3 items — tapioca, almond jello, mochi. Top it off with condensed milk and you have the best dessert in the land. It’s cheap and so refeshing. The cooked food is also great here too. I always get the shiao loong bao. I have no idea how to spell these chinese words in english but I think people know what I mean. So good. I wish I was there now. *drool*

OMG… yes there is a lot of MSG, yes it’s not clean, and yes its pretty damn greasy but common! Shin Jing Bao(however you spell it) there is the best… the dumpling beef balls… yea that… plus their selection of food in the«fastfood» area is not bad either. They make yummy drinks and cheap shaved ice. how can you not resist? For a quick sodium filled meal… def. come here!
