It took this business over 30 days to respond to my complaints and they neither apologized nor took any responsibility. This company claimed that they go above and beyond to make sure the customers are satisfied because they got some positive reviews from people. Well guess what? you did a terrible job with my garage doors, you took a barely used garage door opener and supposedly recycled it, your tech did not even lubricate the doors’ mechanical parts, on top of that you claimed my wife told the tech to install the wall control on top of the other one, the gal you have answers the phone has no clue what she is doing, she is sarcastic and unprofessional.
I called Home Depot and they made these guys to come and correct some of the issues. I am appalled to see the response from JD and I will make sure everyone I know knows how this company operates.
There were 4 garage door openers in my garage that day and you picked the second newest garage door opener and left 2 over 10 years old openers
The wall control was relocated, when I asked the tech why he changed the original location when he was working on correcting his original installation job, he stated that he did not want to split the light switch. I am not sure why JD decided to claim it was the person at home that wanted relocated.
Ok JD now I have a question for you, why did not your tech ask my wife which one of the 4 garage door openers we wanted to keep then? Since you claimed he asked her about the wall control location. Let’s not go there…
James from the Home Depot takes no fault on your tech’s decision to remove my property without my knowledge. He also stated that the Tech should have asked since the opener was almost new and the opener was not considered a junk. I read what I sign and I don’t assume things the way this company operates. There is no instruction on removing a garage door opener. I suggest they stop defending their errors and take some responsibility.
This one was my third time that a garage door company came to install a garage door opener/​doors and I can clearly say it was the far worst installation job I have ever seen.
I have already communicated my concerns to the Home Depot HQ and I suggest the DistribuDoors to improve their customers concerns. Just because we use a third party does not mean we don’t deserve the same treatment as their regular customers.

This is my first Unilocal review, despite having used Unilocal for years. Frankly, I couldn’t be bothered to add to the general noise with one more luke-​warm review. It took an experience with DistribuDoors that was so out of the ordinary good in order to break me of my malaise.
Several months ago I ordered three Color Blast Clopay doors through DistrbuDoors. Because of the custom color it takes a couple of months from order to receipt. The first set of doors came damaged in shipment, but they never got as far as DistribuDoors’ warehouse. I got a call and they got sent back. JD asked Clopay to expedite the replacement order, and their answer was to ship white doors and have someone local paint — not what I paid for. When they arrived at DistribuDoors JD was as surprised as I was. Those went back as well. I finally received the doors earlier this month, about five months after the initial order.
This could have been a horrible experience, but instead it was terrific. Seems counterintuitive, but JD made sure I knew what was going on every step of the way, and DistribuDoors stepped up and provided free delivery and upgraded hardware by way of apology (even though none of this was their fault). I was also expecting slide locks (my mistake), and I ran out of a particular fastener, all of which JD provided promptly at no cost.
Everyone at DistrubuDoors, from the person who answers the phone to the crew that delivers and installs, provided excellent customer service. Clopay makes a good product, but it was DistribuDoors that made a satisfied customer. This could have gone entirely the other way, and, frankly, if it wasn’t for JD I would have told Clopay to take a flying leap. I’m glad I didn’t, as all worked out well, but it was all because of DistribuDoors.

This is possibly the best company I have ever dealt with. Customer service, price and craftsmanship were unexcelled. I have a large pole building needing three doors. The middle door needed to fill a 25’x12.5′ opening. Over the past several years I have had bids from many local garage door companies but all were over priced and no one, no one wanted to supply a door big enough for the large opening. All of the other companies universally panned the Clopay door I wanted because it would match the other three doors I had. They claimed Clopay was a low end poor quality door and wanted to sell me much more expensive doors (3x the price!). Just as an aside, I can tell you that Clopay makes a quality door for a fraction of the price. I discounted their assertions as we have had a 17′ Clopay door on our house for the last 24 years which has performed flawlessly. None of the other companies wanted to give me large 24’x11’ door that I wanted citing all kinds of bogus reasons mainly having to do with their inablility to install such a large door. Costco (Amaar Doors) quoted me $ 12,000 for a 24′ door that Distribdoor and Clopay provided for $ 4ooo. John, the owner, came out to Carnation and gave me a very good bid and even advised me on the framing I needed to do before the door could be installed. The price was so low that I opted for an opener for the large door, a jack screw opener for one of the smaller 10′ doors, and even a row of windows (which all of the other companies said they could not do). They were very patient with me while I framed the opening and my contact with JD and all of the other people in the office was great. The installers came and installed the large door and opener and the jack screw opener on the smaller door making an exceptionally clean installation. I can highly recommend the jack screw opener as it requires no overhead track and is very quiet. They did such a great job that I had them come back and install a regular trolley opener on the remaining 10′ door. It has low clearance track or I would have opted for another screw jack opener. It has been about three months now and everything is working flawlessly. I am so glad I found this company to provide what I wanted at a more than competitive price. If you need garage doors or repair call these guys first and save yourself a lot of aggravation. Al Davis

We had out torsion spring unexpectedly break on our 2-​car garage door opener last week. After watching some DIY repair videos, I determined it was too dangerous and not cost effective for my to attempt myself. The next morning I called 3 different local repair shops and got quotes. The first 2 I called I found through Google search. The 3^rd (DistribuDoors) was referred to me from a FB friend. DistribuDoors quoted me at the best price for repair and offered a life time warranty on the springs. I decided to schedule an apt. with DistribuDoors and they were out the next day. They even called early to see if it was alright to come out earlier than scheduled. I was at work during the repair, but my wife was home and said the tech (Mario) was done with the job within a half hour, and was very professional about it. He did a full inspection on our garage and noted that some of the rollers were starting to go out. He suggested replacing them and my wife politely declined and there was absolutely no pressure to have them replaced. He also greased out screw drive for the motor, and when I got home that evening I couldn’t believe how much quieter it sounded when opening and closing. Overall, I was very happy with DistribuDoors price and service. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

A very customer — friendly company, these good people have gone the extra mile to solve my problems with an aging opener. They are prompt and thorough once they arrive.
So when it came time to replace the old unit, I only made one call. They came up with the perfect model for our garage door. It was installed and while they programmed the remotes, they showed us how it was done. I’d not only use them again, I’d encourage anyone looking for an opener to give them a call.

Excellent service both on the phone and in person. Polite, professional, knowledgable, and friendly. Service tech showed up right on time, changed out two broken springs and two roller brackets in less than 15 minutes.

I met John last year at the home show. We were just breaking ground on our addition which included a new garage. We knew what we wanted and were basically price shopping at the show. We liked John and ask him to come out and give us a quote.
John came out and took a look and gave us a great price. We agreed to go ahead with Distribudoor. So, they ordered the door for us and had it at the shop. Well, our project took a little longer than expected and they held the door for us for 10 months while I got my project ready.
I am happy to report that Rickie showed up today and installed the door. He was great. A really nice young man, who was polite and had a great attention to detail. The door looks great and works great. He took care to clean any grease marks from install before he left. All the wires were fastened properly and in a manner that shows his attention to detail. John should be happy to have some one with this attention to detail.
All of this and the price was amazing. We shopped the same door at Home Depot and Distribudoor was about 40% less installed. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a cheap door. My neighbors are all green with garage door envy.

I called DistribuDoors after the first company I had originally called and setup an appointment with cancelled the morning of the appointment (their installer called in sick). I had already stayed home from work for the day and wanted to get it done same day. I was able to get a same day appointment. Installer showed up on time and got my two new extension springs installed very quick.

The house I purchased had the original garage doors and openers from the 80’s. Needless to say, that was not acceptable. I’m one of selective few who believes in actually parking my car in the garage to keep it safe and protected from the elements; it’s not a glorified storage area like with other people. As such I needed the garage to work but quietly and efficiently.
I installed a ¾ HP Chamberlain on one of the doors; it installed fine, but was struggling to lift and manage the door. I’d had Seattle Garage Doors out to replace the springs, which they did. But the door was still not smooth or as quiet as I would have liked. It was also rickety and squeaked like mad.
When I called DistribuDoors, the gal who answered the phone (who BTW is the reason I knocked a star off) should be fired or reassigned. When I asked for someone to come out and assess the situation and make recommendations, she said «we don’t do that». That’s odd… really odd. According to her «if you buy a garage door, then we can send someone out». Hmmm. After ranting at her for a few seconds, she offered to have me speak to JD, who was a breath of fresh air. He clarified that yes, they can come assess the situation, but there is an $ 80 service visit charge, which is credited towards whatever you do end up paying for (if anything). That’s fine — as long as I know about it.
Dusty stopped by, polite and respectful as can be, and gave the door a once-​over. Recommended new rollers (which I’d planned to do at some point), some adjustments, and new springs. He noted that Seattle Garage Doors used springs that weren’t thick enough to hold a solid wood door (thus why the garage opener was struggling, as it was basically holding the full weight of the door both directions). He had everything swapped out, tightened the Chamberlain, and did lubrication all throughout. Door now opens and clothes smoothly and silently as expected. I was very pleased with the work. What’s more, they charged half what Seattle Garage Doors charged for springs.
I really was pleased with the appointment and Dusty is to be commended. I hate knocking off a star. But I want the company to know that the gal answering the phone is likely costing them business. She needs to either be retrained or reallocated.
In summary (so people don’t get misled by her):
YES, DistribuDoors will come and assess the problem if your garage door just isn’t working right and you know it.
NO, it’s not a free visit. There’s a service charge. If you buy something, springs, rollers, doors, whatever… the service charge is credited against that. So if you pay $ 400 for parts, you’re not paying $ 480, the $ 80 is included in the parts cost.
NO, DistribuDoors will not push you into buying a new door if you don’t need it. If yours is perfectly fine and just needs TLC they will offer that first. If you want a new door they’ll sell you one, but it’s not their lead-​in.

Update to our last review. JD nailed it and brought the customer service back with style!!! And in doing so, got a fan and a future buyer of his service.
After the previous post JD reached out to us and invited us to try the service again, and it was on him. They offered to pay for the service call. We agreed and we were impressed.
First, JD contacted us, apologized and offered to make it right. Which he did.
Second, Dusty showed up to the appointment early and ready to go. He was friendly, knowledgeable and new his stuff! The result — a quieter garage door that opens faster and with more clearance! Who would have thought.
You definitely have to give this company a try. They will win you over.

DIstribuDoors won our business with a great bid and personal attention/​advice the day we got the bid. John Kocher (the owner) came out to bid on doors for our new detached 3-​car garage. He offered helpful suggestions (drywall before installing doors) on the new garage. He was so helpful, we asked him to take a look at the older, attached garage doors, one of which had been hit at some point in the past. He again had great advice for us, and so I asked him to bid replacement of those doors, too. In the end, the price for replacing the doors and openers for both of our garages came to what we were expecting for just the new one! So, great service and price.
As to the install, Jesse Lopez was our installer for both garages (4 doors total). He is a perfectionist. The job could not possibly look any better. We are thrilled. It’s wonderful to get this kind of work done. Hire DistribuDoors – you won’t be sorry.

I rarely leave reviews on Unilocal,but after my experience with Distribu Doors I wanted to make sure they got their due when they most deserved it and others will know about this great local business.
The springs on my garage door broke, so I looked on Unilocal to find a local company to call. Distribu Doors caught my eyes because of all the 5 star ratings. They gave me the quote (over the phone) for the parts and labor which is comparable to elsewhere. I made my appointment for the next day and they even called and informed me they would be a little late… very thoughtful. The technician came and fixed it within half an hour.

I was going to refurbish my old wood garage doors, but after getting started, I decided to get some quotes for new doors to see if it was worth it. Distribudoors quote for 2 new garage doors was low enough that I decided to get new doors through them instead of refurbish mine. Their price was much better than the big box stores, so I was able to upgrade to insulated doors. I didn’t realize it, but my beams were not straight, so the installer had to do some adjusting which I wouldn’t have wanted to deal with myself. I also had them install one of my garage door openers so I would have an example for installing the other one myself, which worked out very well.
I am extremely glad I had Distribudoors install my doors and highly recommend them.

Had Distribudoors out for a single door tune up offer I picked up throught Amazon Local deals. Was more than worth the cost and my garage door is working much better now. The technician was on time and courteous to say the least. All my questions were answered and I had quite a few. They didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t need and surprisingly told me that my 70’s era wooden door had some years of good life left in it. There is a reason this company has all 5 star ratings here on Unilocal and I’m happy to continue that trend.

We had Distribudoors install 2 garage doors on a house we are remodeling. They did a great job!
We were looking for basic doors, nothing fancy, they just had to function properly and look good.
We obtained 3 bids from 3 vendors: Costco, Home Depot & Distribudoors. Heather from distribudoors handled our estimate, she was prompt, professional, and explained all of our options without trying to up sell us to fancy doors. For our purposes she recommended two Clopay doors, the total including tax, low headroom track, and installation was $ 1127.00 for both doors. The home depot was over $ 1600.00 for the SAME Clopay doors & track, and Costco was over $ 2000.00 (different brand name, but same simple door style). For the record, WE removed and disposed of our existing doors which worked for us and Distribudoors was just fine with that.
They accommodated our scheduling needs. On the day of installation, they were on time, and the installation went much faster than I anticipated. The installer was super nice too!
We are happy with our choice, the doors look great and function exactly as we need them to. If we need garage doors in the future, we will certainly call Distribudoors.

Distribudoors saved the day after, by my own blunder, my old garage door came off the track, broke a cable, and bent up a couple hinges. It wound up stuck open at about a 30 degree angle that strangely, in my head, took the shape of large dollar signs.
Distribudoors’ service person is a garage door magician! He brought the door back to life before my eyes, replacing the bent hinges, installing two new heavy duty cables, and realigning everything so that by the time he was done the garage door looked better than it has in a long time. The final bill was more than fair and far less than I’d feared. Seems to me Distribudoors’ M.O. is to earn repeat business from satisfied customers. Hopefully I won’t need garage door work again soon, but when I do I’ll be calling them again.

They were really easy to schedule with. Showed up on time. Finished quickly. I thought my door was really messed up and they guy was able to fix it in 15 minutes! Found a deal on Amazon local so price was really cheap!

Communication was great and informative. Heather took the time to look into options and provide prices, which were on-​par with what I found elsewhere, and in the end there were no surprise fees. Jesse showed up exactly on time, and did a nice, clean install with good detail work.

I would like to recommend Will. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. He made sure I knew how everything worked before he left. He showed me how to maintain my garage door openers. He was very kind and professional. I would not hesitate to go through this company.
