Specialties

The Window Man is the Educational Window Company. We carry over 15 different window and door manufacturers, we don’t believe in only carrying or pushing 1 brand. We take pride in our no-pressure sales approach, our In-Home Estimates are free (and we won’t pressure you to buy on the spot). We believe in educating our Clients, giving ALL of the options, and letting YOU choose what is best for you.

History

Established in 1989.

A partner in a building supply company, founder & owner Thomas Patterson left the commercial industry to establish The Window Man. His experience in the price-driven commercial industry lead Tom to the residential replacement Industry where he would be able to create a replacement window & door company that was value-driven. Tom opened The Window Man in 1989 to be the Educational Window Company of the DC Metropolitan area.

In the mid-nineties The Window Man became the area dealer for Mon-Ray/DeVAC windows. This relationship introduced The Window Man into the commercial industry. This partnership allowed us to work with architects, structural engineers, and acoustical engineers on many large and small scale projects and developed strong relationships with local historical, acoustical, and federal project boards.

In 1999 The Window Man moved our showroom to Fairfax, Va. We opened our second showroom in Alexandria Va in the Summer of 2007.

Meet the Business Owner

Thomas P.

Business Owner

Founded P.B.S. Inc, trading as «The Window Man», in August of 1989 after being a partner in a small building supply company (Contracts Discount Supply) that sold exclusively to builders.

The new construction industry is primarily about «price». That led me to the «replacement» window & door market, which is value drive.

We at The Window Man, always strive to offer the «best value» in all types of windows & doors; whether vinyl, wood, wood clad, fiberglass, composite, aluminium, or steel.

We became involved in the commercial window industry in the mid nineties when we became the area dealer for Mon-Ray/DeVAC windows. This has allowed us to work with architects, structural engineers, & acoustical engineers on many large and small scale projects.
