Frosty has cared for my aging heat pump for years and kept it in top shape. Finally it was time to replace the old girl and never have I had a contractor as good as Frosty’s team. They were efficient. They cleaned up. They were super nice. And best of all, showed me how to use my new wifi enabled system. LOVE!!! Jim Beris is the owner and he runs a top company!!! Hats off to you guys, keeping us warm and cool as needed thru the year.

I recently purchased a home in Arlington/​Fairlington area and knew the AC unit was shot when I moved in. I received three quotes from different contractors for what it would take to replace my unit. All three providers told me that my lines connecting the inside and outside units were too small to receive the maximum efficiency of the new heat pumps that are on the market today. Frosty’s Heating and Air was the only company that stated they could replace the lines with minimal issues due to being completely familiar with completing this job in my subdivision. James Beris/​President of Frosty’s came to my residence on time and gave me an estimate for the repairs and the work was started and completed on time. Paul and Leo were the primary installers of the unit and it took them two full days to complete the installation. They were very competent and professional in their jobs and left the residence clean and as they found it. I highly recommend both of these gentlemen for their services. I also had all of my attic duct work redone and had it insulated (previous duct work was not insulated). This was probably overkill but I am planning on being in this unit for at least 10 years and I wanted to know that it was done correctly. I have now been using the unit for two full months and it has performed flawlessly. Frosty’s is probably not the cheapest installer but I think you usually get what you pay for. They have my recommendation.

Frosty’s has always been top notch when it comes to customer service. I recommend him to anyone with large or small Hvac jobs. He has done my house and several of my friend’s & family’s houses. He really strives to make sure you are completely satisfied before they leave the job. Great work, fair prices, and customer service at it’s best!

This is purely for Frosty’s customer service, as our landlord paid for our service so I can’t speak to prices.
Megan was incredibly helpful getting us a quick appointment for service and furnace replacement, and the two guys who came for the replacement were quick and polite. I’m hoping nothing breaks so we don’t have to call again, but Frosty’s service is definitely not our concern in that case.

After my review of Frosty’s on Unilocal,the owner, James, contacted me the next day to find out what happened. I explained the situation to him and he apologized for the lack of communication from them regarding my service call. We discussed the service they performed and he asked what he could do to make things right. I told him I expected to pay for the service call and some small additional amount for the actual drain line cleaning and the inspection of the outside unit. We agreed on a $ 200 charge and James mailed me a refund check the next day for $ 129.95. James asked that I contact him personally if I needed HVAC repairs in the future. I will say that Frosty’s did try to make things right and they do deserve credit for that.

James was amazing about sending out another tech to look at it and working with me to get to the bottom of the problem.

The owner followed-​up with me after reading my review. He gave lots of helpful information and background that got at the real reason why I (more than likely) needed this service. I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because this is the type of information I wanted to get … without having to write a Unilocal review and getting the owner to respond.

Unlike many of their competitors, Frosty’s was able to schedule a service call on short notice. They were professional and did great work. Needed a new Outdoor unit and feel like I got a decent deal.

Had trouble with my HVAC unit because it would not blow cool air when turned on. The guy kept saying I should get a new unit (current one is only 8 years old) and quoted me $ 7,000– $ 9,000! For a 800sq ft condo with easy access to the unit out back. Very disappointed since it seems like most people had positive experiences. I feel like he tried to take advantage of me since I am a young female living alone. Luckily I have family in the HVAC business, called them to get their opinion and they told me to show that guy the door because he was definitely over pricing me. Charged me $ 100 for labor to put a few screws in the plate that covers the coil.

Repair tech Paul was awesome on the diagnostics visit and then on the repair visit. Showed up right on time, and finished the repair in half the time suggested as the estimate (3 – 4 hours — done in 2).
Answering service and response from office team on Saturday to confirm repair time was excellent, too.
Very good experience, definitely recommend.

Leo and Thea came to fix our water heater today and I have to say they did a fantastic job. They went above and beyond what I expected. They made sure everything was cleaned up afterwards and they fixed some issues with the previous water heater. I highly recommend these guys. Thanks Guys!

Frosty’s Heating and Cooling is by far one of the best HVAC companies around. They are very prompt, typically will go out next day, and can have repaired executed in remarkable time. James, the owner, is a fantastic guy to work with and has no issue doing whatever it takes to get the job done. Mary, the office manager, is also a great pleasure to deal with and responds even after hours if need be. Overall a great company with fair pricing that I would recommend to anyone.

I’ve been with Frosty’s since they opened over a decade ago. I’ve been consistently pleased with them throughout this time. They maintained my old HVAC unit until it died, economically installed a new unit, and go beyond the pale in customer service. Just today, their technician James D fixed the springs on my attic stairs, simply because I was unable to do it myself. They are never late, are always professional, personable, and helpful. I don’t know what’s up with the one-​star reviews, but based on my decade of experience, I have very pleased with their service.

After a couple failed visits from a competing company to try to fix a problem with my HVAC system, I lost faith and called Frosty’s. Thea arrived on time, tested the system, troubleshot, and located the problem in a quick fashion. His explanation of the problem was clear and concise (compared to the competing company’s «well, we think it may probably be X»), and he fixed it very quickly. I highly recommend Thea and Frosty’s.

They arrived before my family was done getting ready for the morning and were very accommodating and waiting.

Frosty’s owner messaged me and said they would be happy to fill my freon at no charge. They promptly came the next day and did the job in 10 minutes. I was very happy with this service. Thank you, Frosty’s!

Chad and Ben from Frosty’s came early in the morning and had my new AC unit installed by 2pm the same day. The work was clean and they were very professional and made sure I knew what they were going to do. They walked me through the process and my wife and I couldn’t be happier. I had Frosty’s install a new heat pump and air handler 3 years ago and I’ve had nothing but issues with it. The compressor and coils needed to be replaced with in 6 months which may not be their fault but it took them 2 weeks to figure it out. I recently had another major issue that took them about 10 days to finally fix and now on the hottest day of the year my air conditioner is pumping out hot air. I am having another company coming to check it out and if I find out these knuckleheads rewired things incorrectly, I will be suing them. I will also be writing a letter to the Trane president detailing out this incompetence as well.

I first used Frosty’s almost ten years ago, after having a bad experience with a different A/​C contractor. They installed a top-​of-​the-​line Trane system for me. Over the years I have learned to rely on Frosty’s for maintenance and to address small issues when they do arise. I believe that Jim, the owner, is a fair man and tries his hardest to operate his business with integrity.
There are many A/​C companies out there that tell outright lies and deceive their customers. Frosty’s is NOT one of those companies. They are honest, straightforward, and fair. If and when there have been problems, I have always found that Frosty’s is willing to work with you, and if they installed and maintained your system, they will always give you priority service should you encounter any problems.
Kudos to Jim and Frosty’s. In a world that tends to be obsessed with greed, profits, or company policies, Frosty’s is a breath of fresh air.
