History

Established in 1999.

The Owner, Jeff Reynolds, graduated from Virginia Tech with a Masters degree. He was an Industrial Arts teacher in FCPS for about 10 years before he decided to follow his passion for landscaping. He started doing landscaping jobs on the weekends while he was still Teaching. Jeff Reynolds officially started Custom Stonescaping LLC in 1999, once it took off and he was able to pursue Stonescaping full time!

We had a great experience with Custom Stonescaping! They were quick to come out to our house and work with us to design a backyard that fit our needs and was in our budget. Ashley was very helpful, answering all of my questions quickly via email or phone call. Jeff, the owner, even came out at the beginning and end of the project to check on everything. The quality of the work they did was excellent, and they worked quickly and efficiently, completing an overhaul of our townhouse backyard in a little over 2 days.
Their show room in Arlington is a great way to see products they offer.

5 Stars For A 5 Star Job. I highly recommend Custom Stonescaping. Evan Johnson help design a beautiful flagstone stoop and front walkway along with planting beautiful shrubs for that finishing touch to our front yard. Working with Evan Johnson along with his highly professional staff was excellent from start to finish. The price was very reasonable and we couldn’t be happier.

We had them redo our long front walkway and rear patio in Flagstone, redo a fence part and also address a drainage problem we were having in our yard. The whole process couldn’t have been smoother and the staff, including Evan, couldn’t have been nicer, hard working and professional. The results were far better than expected as it was the littlest of details so many others would likely have cut corners.

I scheduled an estimate with them in June and they showed and took down the information. I called in a week later and inquired about the estimate and was told that I would recieve it in the mail. I then emailed back a week later asking if they could provide me with a the quote via email since I had not recieved anything and I never got a response. I dont know if the job was to small or what, but I wish they would just come out and say that instead of wasting my time for the appt/​inquiries!

Not only were they noticeably less than other estimates that we received from other companies, but their work was beautiful. The crew was friendly and on time every day. We were so impressed with our amazing new stone patio that we had them come back and do the front walkway as well. Again, on time and friendly crew. What may have been most impressive of all, was that the end of the walkway was slightly «off pattern» and we took a picture of it and sent it to Jeff a day or two later. Within two hours he had a crew come by and fix it immediately so when I returned home it was already taken care of. I’ve never experienced such great customer service. The neighbors were so impressed, I think they probably had 5 of them reach out for projects of their own. We highly recommend Jeff and his company. Well done!

I met with Jeff in February about creating stone steps for my backyard. We discussed what I needed and he quoted me a price. It was a good price and so I signed the contract — to be paid in full when the job was completed and no down payment. Although he indicated he thought the job would be completed in February/​March the job was not completed until April 24. They did a great job and I love my new natural stone stairs which now make it easy for me to get to the bird feeder. My only criticism with Jeff was his failure to call and update me on when the work would be done. I had to make the calls and Jeff only called the day before he planned to complete the work and thus the completed the work when I wasn’t home because I had to work. But yes, I’d recommend Jeff and his crew for anyone interested in stone work in N. Va.

I wish had more yard for this great business to work in! I contracted Custom Stonescaping to build a 17X14 brick paver patio in my back yard and could not be more pleased with the results and service provided.
Sean is a wonderful representative. During the free estimate and planning he never talked down to me, he considered my ideas thoughtfully and worked around my plans. Sean offered his advice on which pavers to use and the design. Finally, he made sure to stay in touch either by email or phone to talk me through the process.
The project took three days and the crew were friendly and professional. The results were beyond my expectations. In fact, Custom Stonescaping went above expectations by placing new sod around the patio upon completion.
This is the sign of a good company; they do more than is asked of them to make the customer feel satisfied. Well I’m very satisfied and happy to give them five stars.
Please do yourself a favor and consider them for any of your stonescaping needs.

I highly recommend this company for stonework. They worked on two projects for us – one involved ripping out a brick patio/​wall and installing a new stone one. The second was installing a new stone wall to along our driveway along with pavers edgers. Great work. Extremely professional. My wife is a stickler for detail and these guys met her highest expectations. Couldn’t be happier with the work and price. Recommend you check out their website that shows the quality of their work.

I would highly recommend using Jeff and Custom Stonescaping. Jeff is very professional and runs a tight ship. He arrived on time for the estimate, was very clear on when the project would be starting, delivery of materials etc. We received three bids on this project and this one was by far the most competitive. The team of three guys, I don’t remember their names were awesome, they were true workhorses and a pleasure to have around. They said the job would take between 2 – 3 days, they stayed a little extra both days and knocked it out in two. Our new flagstone patio look awesome, can’t wait to have my first bbq on it.
