eye2eye is a pleasure in every way. Dr. Adamopolous (sp?) is talented and kind. Her entire staff is pleasant and makes the eye exam experience the best. They are wonderful about keeping your appointment time and have a wonderful selection of frames coupled with knowledgeable people to help you select the right look for you. This is a true throwback type of store; local, small, friendly and great quality. I don’t know why you would go anywhere else!

TERRIBLE customer service. They were terrible when I went in, and I just got off the phone with them, and they are terrible on the phone. Also were quite rude to my husband. The office staff literally could not be more rude. There are better places in Old Town.

Great staff. I drive almost an hour to eye2eye for the service, an EXCELLENT selection of frames, and help with picking out the perfect pair to suit me.

Dr. Adamopoulos & her staff are the best in the business. Always on time, professional & friendly. I can never pick out frames that are cool, but Elizabeth picked out the perfect sample of frames. If you need a new doctor, check them out!

I have worn glasses and contacts for the past 25 years and this is the best eyecare professional I have found to date. The staff are all extremely professional and well-​versed in their products. I always leave with a great new pair of glasses and very pleased with my experience.

State of the art technology, Dr. Adamopoulos is great, it’s an efficient and thorough exam, and they have a good selection of glasses. And, for us at least, they are local, so what’s not to love? I’ve been seeing Dr. A for 4 years and I love her and her staff. She is always very thorough and explains everything. I’m a glasses wearer all day, every day, so I appreciate the awesome collection of eyewear they have to choose from. Granville and Elizabeth always help me pick out my new frames. I trust their opinions completely and they always tell me if they think frames look meh of great on me. I also love supporting a local business!

Front desk staff still seriously lacking. Docking an extra star for today’s experience that consisted of them telling me repeatedly that I am not covered… then me telling them to call the insurance number they have to confirm coverage. Which they did. And I am covered. No apologies for the error and wasted time on their part.
I asked for them to measure my pupil distance. Which the dr said they could do at the front. May, the rude front desk staffer, told me that if I was not getting glasses from them, they would only do it for an additional fee of $ 45. Despite the dr saying it could get done easily. Needless to say, I walked out without ordering glasses, contacts, or paying any extra fees.
Fool me twice, shame on me. I will not be returning to eye2eye.

My husband and I needed new eye glasses and we went to eye2eye for the first time. We worked with Elizabeth and she made our eye glass selections both fun and easy. They have a great selection from conservative to elective frames. If you are in the market for eye glasses make sure you check them out.

My wife and I recently came back for our 1 year eye exam and contact lens fitting. Every aspect of our experience was superb, which was not surprising because we experienced the same excellence last year. Of note this year was the great work of Granville (he owns an island in Vancouver… secret!) and Shateena (I hope I got the spelling right), who provided superb assistance with both eye glass fitting and the contact lens purchase, saving us a lot of money in the process. Both of the optometrists are excellent and personable as well. We will be back-​keep up the good work!

Wow I absolutely love love LOVE this place. They have the best and coolest selection of glasses and sunglasses. I’ve been coming for several years now and will not go elsewhere. Elizabeth rocks! She always finds me the coolest specs! I always get compliments from folks asking about them. The glasses come back quickly too which I love.

I have been going to Dr. Adamopoulous for years because she’s professional, friendly and thorough. I recently went in expecting to see her the day before Thanksgiving which was the appointment they set for me and my two sons. I did not have a good experience. The other doctor us… I don’t remember her name… that’s funny because, I can easily remember Dr. Adamopoulous’ name, which is not all that easy. Anyway my family was seen by a thin, tall, Asian lady.
She acted hurried, unhappy that she was working on Thanksgiving eve, and as if she was bothered to explain and answer any questions for me. She simply acted as if she had an attitude and was frustrated, and the patients/​customers received the brunt of her ill-​feelings. She and I went back and forth for a while over what, me, (the customer would or should be buying), as it had been a while since I had seen Dr. Adamopoulous. I kept insisting that they should have all my records on file, and finally I offered to go get my old glasses from the car which she ignored… then as we were finally finishing, you guessed it, she asked me to go to the car and get the old glasses.
Now, here’s the kicker, with insurance for my son and the discount program I learned there that day, that I ONLY had a discount plan for myself, the cost was over $ 800.00. I sent them all of our insurance information by email well in advance to ensure they had all the information and that we were indeed insured. Somebody tell
me if you’re taking attitude when spending that kind of money, and surprised on the spot, that you’re not insured and got to cough up REAL money!
I will continue to go to Dr. Adamopoulous, but I will ALWAYS request to see ONLY Dr. Adamopoulous. The other doctor presented poor doctor/​patient/​customer services skills, and I will not be subjected further to her snide demeanor for a cost.

Never go here. They charge a bogus $ 85 for a ‘contact lens fitting fee.’ However, the doctor was not present and this fitting fee is unnecessary.
The saleswoman lied about the prices of the glasses. They stack hidden fees on top of the cost of each glasses.
The store prevented me from getting an emergency renewal of contact lens. They blocked my order of 30-​day supply of contacts from Walgreens 3x, after saying twice that they would allow me to use my prescription to order lens. This has caused a huge inconvenience for me and is a safety issue, as I do not have any replacement lens to wear. Despite what eye2eye believes, I am entitled to purchase contact lens wherever I want. They cannot block me from buying new contacts from another provider. However, eye2eye and Dr. Doan have gone out of their way to block me from buying more contact lens from a different store. They also lied to me about calling Walgreens and allowing me to buy 30 days worth when they had cancelled the order.
Their sales associate, Amanda, called me and tried to discourage me from shopping at Walgreens. She said that eye2eye’s price for a single box of contact lens was only $ 2 more than Walgreens’ price of $ 34. I pointed out to Amanda that I was purchasing from Walgreens because of convenience. I do not live or work near eye2eye and cannot visit the store during their hours. After this, she said that would call Walgreens and allow them to fill my prescription.
However, eye2eye Optometry cancelled the following orders from Walgreens:

I would never recommend eye2eye Optometry Center. Do not shop here. If this incident was related to negligence, I would get Dr. Vyvy Doan’s license revoked.

The words associated with Unilocal’s two-​star rating are «Meh. I’ve experienced better.» Overall, that’s my feeling. I would give 5 stars for frame selection, a pleasant surprise for a small neighborhood shop that utilizes every inch of space for exams, fitting and showcasing glasses. I also found the staff uniformly pleasant and helpful. But for prices and quality control, I was far less impressed. After a friend raved about the store, I took my new prescription from my opthalmologist in, requesting new lens for a frame I owned. Even with a courtesy «discount», the high quality lens + transitions, trifocals, etc., exceeded the price I subsequently paid for a similar pair of glasses I had updated locally by well over $ 100.
But my real concern was I twice had to have the lens redone: the first time because my vision was blurred when I tried them on (one lens was upside down, as I understood the problem); the second was while I paid for transitions, the lens were not treated with this feature. I did not catch this until I was outside in the blistering sun and realized I had no protection from the harsh rays. I am not sure why the staff did not notice this prior to fitting me — does anyone review the finished glasses to make sure they match the prescription? I have been wearing eyeglasses for over 25 years and have never had this problem before.
My husband brought two pairs of glasses in to get new lens as well and had no issues other than the price, which he found out later would also have been cheaper if he had returned them to the store where he originally purchased them (NYC.)
I was hoping this would be my new go-​to eyeglass source, and was seriously tempted to splurge on new frames, but the prices seems out of line for Del Ray, and the lack of attention to detail and quality is disappointing. I did appreciate a follow-​up note and gift card but I am not convinced this store is right for me.

Am able to walk from metro, besides that I would go to more better competitive locations that bend over backwards to satisfy you. Dr. Dora is not the best eye doctor out there. Dislike how they try to fit the customer to their business model. Should be the other way around. Listen to a reasonable customer and offer best advice and Options that best fit their needs. Goal is not to keep them coming through your doors as often as possible, so you can bill their insurance more frequantly. This place vibes does not ring well.

I have been a patient here for 3 years and have always been pleased until yesterday.
Yesterday I went in for my annual eye exam. I had an early morning appointment and was not taken back to the room where they do the blow air in your eye test until 20 minutes after my appointment start time. I was taken back by a guy in wrinkled clothes who wanted me to tell him any troubles I am having with my eyes, and was asking questions that I would expect of an actual eye doctor, but since I did not know who he was I told him no. He wanted to know how old my glasses were. I told him I did remember when I purchased them, then he continued to press, has it been a month, a year… by this point I was frustrated and again said I did not know and he backed off.
Frankly, the 20 minute late, on top of the very unprofessional look of the guy assisting me made me want to walk out at that point, but I continued with my appointment.
I was then taken to the exam room where Dr. Adamopolous normally has me read the lines of letters, instead the assistant did all that. Then Dr. Adamopolous came in. She kept saying I was a new patient and asking questions, followed up with «since I have never seen you before.»
Once my appointment was over I was taken to the area where the glasses are sold and was asked if I wanted to purchase my contact lenses and told the rebate expired today (which was yesterday). I said no that I am already late for work due to my appointment being late and need to go but I would be happy to take the paper with me and call in later once I reviewed the rebate information. I was told that they are not allowed to give out the information unless I purchased the contacts. I told them no. She insisted if I wanted to call and order the contacts I could come and pick up the rebate information. So you want me to think about buying $ 700 in contacts but you are not willing to share the selling point information with me, until I agree to do so? No thanks.
Long story short, as much as I try to support small businesses, I was very disappointed and will not be back to this office. I can get better service getting my eyes checked at Wal-​mart. and as far as the rebate goes, 800-​contacts had the rebate info online. It’s the same rebate on contacts that acuvue has every year.

The Dr. was good other than that it was upsetting.
They had me do a contact examine even though they knew I already had one with a previous Dr (so I would not need another to get contacts), then charged me $ 100 for it on top of my eye exam, without mentioning it at all during the consultation. I get that this might be some sort of miscommunication but then I found out they did the same thing to my boyfriend too. Also, the sales staff was really pushy and it was uncomfortable.

This place is HANDS DOWN the best optical place in the entire DMV area! I’ve used so many different eye doctors throughout the years and there is not a single doctor with more tact, professionalism, and skill than the doctors at this place. So often you encounter a doctor who’s ego gets in the way of the proper treatment; that is absolutely NOT the case here. These doctors treat every client like family, and spend time listening to what’s ‘really’ going on.
I’ve been coming here for 3 years now. It’s always easy to make an appointment. The front desk gal has excellent phone presence, «squeezes» me in when needed, and is always ready to help with my many insurance questions.
The stylist are also top notch! I’ve never been to a place that took as much time and energy helping me choose the perfect pair of glasses. It’s obvious they’re skilled at their profession. They take into consideration the shape of your face, your complexion, your eye color, the type of work that you do, and even down to whether you change your hair color often. I love the individualized service here and I’ve never had so much fun shopping for glasses! Plus, they always have the hippest music playing!
The selection of frames is also great. I am always willing to spend a little more if it means better service and better products. If you want cheap, go to one of those stores in the mall and get crappy service with generic styles. No thank you! I’ve had my sunglasses for 3 years now with no trouble and a whole lot of compliments. The staff is so willing to do complimentary re-​fittings as well.
Eye2Eye is unmatchable in its field. The service is excellent and the experience is phenomenal. These folks are eager to help you and any way possible. It’s clear they love what they do and their merriment is contagious.
I will never go anywhere else. Keep up the good work!
