This place was okay. Not completely worth the price they charge to be quite honest. Our server was zack and he wasn’t very attentive. He did fix my steak right away though because I ordered medium rare and got rare. It tasted decent enough. My boyfriend ordered some bacon wrapped pork and there was not nearly enough food for the price, it was two small pieces, maybe 3oz per price. Overall okay place but for the same price there are so many options that taste so much better and the service is better.

Something different, something new, but nothing spectacular. They have a great menu of items, and I want to go back and try the bacon wrapped stuffed quail. Since this was my first time here I went for their signature steak on the menu, which is smoked sirloin. I went for the 12oz portion because I was feeling hungry, and I believe they were more than generous on the portion size. This sirloin is smoked whole and then cut to order like prime rib, unlike prime rib it was a bit on the chewy side, but after all it is sirloin. The temperature of it was a little cold, and it wasn’t the best smoke flavor I’ve had.(They will give you a sample to try before you buy.) the service was good over all. Definitely worth another try.

Wanted ribs and the serves the most delicious ribs I had in a long time. My husband ordered the porter house steak and was like butter!

I give this 2 stars and only because the steak we got wasn’t cold and the bathroom isn’t trashed. There was no seasoning at all on the steak. Even the garlic mash had no flavor somehow. What a waste of money. No wonder the bar is empty on a Friday night.

We were traveling through town on and wanted to try something we didn’t have at home and just came across Texas Land & Cattle and got right in on a Thursday night. The service was excellent I believe John was our waiter and he was training someone also! We had not checked any reviews but thought the prices were a bit high, we had the pork loin with garlic mashed potatoes, and the ribs with loaded baked potato, & green beans. Food came out very quick, the pork loins were great with good flavor and the garlic mashed was a good compliment to the loins. The ribs were also very good but not fall off the bone and the BBQ sauce was a bit tangy for our taste but still good, with a great loaded baked potato. I would try here again, and after seeing the reviews steak all the way!!!

3.5 or 3.8 I think part of the difficulty in rating for Unilocal is we are only in search of 5 star eats :-) Texas Land and Cattle was good. Absolutely nothing wrong with the meal! It just wasn’t life changing. I had chicken fried steak with green beans and mashed potatoes — it was very good. Kiddos had steaks, which were also very good. Service was great! We’ll come back, but still in search of the perfect steak house!

For a Saturday night it wasn’t crowded at all. We were seated immediately next to the fireplace which was nice since it was cold outside. Our waiters name was John and he was EXCELLENT! So friendly and helpful when we had questions. He made the experience so much better. Now for the food. The house salad was like any other, but I liked the sourdough bread we got. I had the top sirloin with garlic mashed potatoes and boy was it yummy. The potatoes could use more salt, but other than that it was great. My husband had the brisket sandwich and he was surprised that it had green chile. We didn’t remember reading that it did. He thoroughly liked it. We will be coming back again as we had such a great experience all around.

I was there for a meeting, so my experience is going to be a little atypical. We were that at what I assume is their opening, so I thought them seeming a bit disorganized might just be opening hour frenzy, but they weren’t too busy and we had a reservation so I’m not sure why they weren’t a little more on the ball. The hostess tried to take us to the back room, and the rest of the staff was pretty snotty to her — evidently we were not supposed to get that room. She set us up in the front room, instead, but that was clearly not going to be sufficient space, so we grabbed up our bread and projector screen and drinks and headed BACK to the big room.(This might have been an error on my group’s part; we might have reserved the smaller room, but the staff was SO snotty to their own co-worker, and she was right all along!) Immediately outside the front door there was an… odor. The ladies’ room had water on the floor, which I at first thought might be that they had JUST mopped it immediately before opening, but in light of the smell I think they were having a bit of a plumbing problem. :/ We were served from a limited menu, so I didn’t get to try their drinks or desserts. I had the H-Town Chicken Sandwich: chicken breast, bacon, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, butter bun. It was fantastic! But, they did SOMETHING to my broccoli. All I can think is that they sprayed lemon juice on it? I’ve never had sour broccoli before; that was a new one for me. I powered through it, but I don’t know what they were thinking or what it was. I would go here again, but I won’t make a special trip of it. Thirteen dollars for lunch, which seems reasonable. There are probably better locations for meetings; the room was big enough but the acoustics weren’t great. We’re holding next month’s here too so it’ll be interesting to see how I feel about it now that I’ve been there once.

We had reservations at 6PM last night for my sons 33rd birthday. We sat down before he arrived and noticed the dishes on table were dirty. We also noticed a bad odor in the place. We asked to move tables and they did allow us to do that but with no better outcome. We left and went to another restaurant. Just an awful experience!

Best service I have had in Albuquerque. Waiter was amazing. The steaks were hot and perfectly cooked. I couldn’t ask for a better dinner out.

I’m real happy to update this. In my last review I had a pretty bad experience. But the management was great about it, and even contacted me on Unilocal to come back in. Well we did tonight and the service was perfect. The steak was good and I haven’t got a complaint on the world. We tried the onion strings, it was delicious and it was a mountain of them. Our steaks were right the first time and our waters never went empty.

Yes. As good as it gets!!! I was craving for steak so when I was leaving my hotel, I asked the parking lot attendant where he would go to for a great steak and he told me Texas Land & Cattle. I did a Unilocal search and hit directions and here I go. The restaurant was very nice and beautiful, I made it there in time for happy hour so I ordered the following: South Padre Island Hurricane($ 5): Yummy!!! It had Vodka, Rum, Southern Comfort, Grenadine, Orange and Pineapple juice. Avocado Smash($ 5): probably the best guacamole and chips I’ve ever had. Boneless Ribeye and Caesar salad($ 23): Delicious!!! I got it medium/rare so it was tender and juicy. One thing I should have said was easy on the dressing and no salt and pepper on the steak. Otherwise it was delicious. I am looking forward to going here again.

After a long day of traveling this place was perfect for my appetite. Very friendly staff not once did I have to ask for water. The waiter kept those glasses filled. I ordered the full rack of ribs. They were delicious and meaty. It was almost too much food but I finished it. Get the Mac and cheese as a side with it.

Quick Notes ·Décor not too bad ·Service wasn’t too shabby ·Food and meat was bland ·Portion to price ratio wasn’t there ·Meat didn’t taste like it even had salt and pepper I probably wouldn’t ever want to come back to any Texas Land & Cattle location. I’d much rather spend my money elsewhere for much better quality and portion.

Attempt number two wasn’t all I was hoping for. The service was better than my first visit. In fact the service may have been considered excellent, I unfortunately don’t remember our servers name but he did remember my side of mayo. The food was fair, my medium rare ribeye was thin and overdone, at least it tasted good. The fries were meh, I suspect frozen. The spicy Caesar salad was unique and delicious. For an appetizer three of us shared the avocado, spinach dip and queso blanco. The avocado left something to desired but the queso was really good. Amber had the Cobb salad that she always has, this time with steak instead of chicken, she prefers it with chicken and loves it. I was fortunate enough to have obtained $ 40 worth of gift certificates. Unless I come across another batch of certificates I doubt I’ll return to Texas Land and Cattle. There is not enough bang for the buck; for less money I can cross the freeway, wait in line and have a huge steak that’s cooked perfectly.

Worse experience ever! Hostess forgot to write our name on the waiting list, we waited for 30 minutes till she wrote our name down. Then waited another 20 mins to get seated, when we got seated there were 6 tables nearby empty and clean… Why did it take forever to get us seated???. Food took over a hour to get to us and they forgot our bread and sides for two meals. Waitress checked on us twice! Stood around laughing and talking with another waiter the entire time. I had to get out of my seat to grab steak sauce from another table then look for tabasco sauce… Not to mention, can I PLEASE get a refill on my tea next time? If I do decide to go back! Spent $ 78 to get treated this bad. $ 1 menu sounds good right about now.

I’ve eaten here now about 3 times and I can say that each visit has progressively gotten worse. The food quality has declined each time we’ve eaten there. Although the service was excellent, I would have give them 2 stars if the service was below average. John as attentive and polite, he never let our drinks run dry and his hospitality was on point. I had the sirloin fried steak, garlic mash potatoes with creamy gravy and green beans. It was okay, I’d say it was like eating at KBobs… which isn’t that great. It was okay, definitely not what they used to be. However, the wait was relatively short and parking was not a problem. I don’t think I’ll be eating here anymore. Thanks for the memories!

Aaahhhh Texas Land and Cattle, my families from Texas so I love anything Texas! Don’t judge me lol. I actually haven’t eaten here in a few years and not because the food or service was bad but I just started trying different places and hadn’t gotten around back here. Well I’m happy to report that it’s just as I remember, great service, great food, good vibes. I love this place. This place give Texas Road House a run for there money. TLC is like the up scale Texas Road House! I ordered the peppercorn Ribeye steak with a side of Jalapeño cheddar grits– one word, Fantastic! I’ve never had peppercorn on anything and I’m happy to say the first time was great. My steak was cooked perfectly and had plenty of juice to keep it tender, wow what a great steak. Being southern raised, I’ve eaten grits all my life and the Jalapeño grits is now a personal favorite! Although TLC is a chain restaurant, it’s still fantastic and the food is great. Also the décor and ambiance is really modern and relaxing. Do yourself a favor and head over to TLC, they will not disappoint– although I’ve read other reviews that suggest otherwise. It was great for me, enjoy!

Terrible. Horrible. Very unsatisfied. Had such an awful experience I still can’t bring myself to write a full review that won’t be tacky. I will wait to write a complete review, but it may take me some time. In the meanwhile I will need to get a true steak fix. Maybe by then I can be civil. Two words-the worst!
