Specialties

The Mauger Estate Bed and Breakfast (pronounced Major) is a wonderfully intimate, restored Queen Anne residence, where high ceilings and rich woodwork offer an old-fashioned and rewarding experience.

Situated within walking distance of Route 66, the downtown business district and Convention Center, and one mile from Historic Old Town, the Mauger Estate B&B is Albuquerque’s most centrally located bed & breakfast.

Our scrumptious breakfasts, outstanding service and luxurious comfort make us the best choice for business or pleasure!

History

Established in 1987.

The building was originally owned by William E. Mauger and his wife, Brittania. William was a real estate investor and wool merchant who moved to Albuquerque from Boston. After the Mauger’s passed on, the building was a boarding house, and became very run down. The Carleno’s bought it in 1984, and spent 4 years restoring the property, and it has been a B&B since. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The B&B is one of the most beautiful homes in the downtown area, and has a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. All rooms have private bathrooms, refrigerators, coffee pots, fine linens, signature soaps, wireless internet, satellite TV, and many other amenities. Full breakfast is served each day, along with evening refreshments. You are sure to enjoy your stay at the Mauger!
