History

Established in 1980.

J. Hettinger Interiors is truly a one-stop design source for residential and commercial projects. Our doors first opened in 1980 in a one thousand square foot rented space on Hartz Avenue. Today, we have developed into a thirteen thousand square foot space featuring an expansive showroom, a fully equipped design studio, a furniture/art warehouse and an entire receiving dock staffed with a delivery/installations department.

For over thirty-two years, our interior design firm/showroom in Danville, California has successfully delivered designs to the finest homes and businesses in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. We are one of the largest interior design firms in the East Bay and have been voted «Best Design Firm» by the city of Danville for two consecutive years. The emphasis of quality and personable service has been our mission statement and the key to our success.

Meet the Business Owner

Jerry H.

Business Owner

Colorado native, Jerry Hettinger, a credentialed design professional had previously earned double master’s degrees in psychology and vocational rehabilitation to add to his undergraduate degrees in architectural drafting and secondary education. Jerry also taught junior high school drafting/design and served as a guidance counselor for seven years.

A fortuitous partnership introduced Jerry to the interior design world, which afforded him the opportunity to design architectural details for both residential and commercial projects. His precise drafting skills and sincere interest in creating the «good life» for his clients’ home environments helped to grow the business, J. Hettinger Interiors, into what is now Danville’s landmark plaza with a 13,000 square foot design studio, showroom and accessories gallery.

For Jerry and his associates the ultimate reward is building a rapport with each client and providing guidance throughout the creative process.
