Wong V Traffic School

Had an appointment scheduled over a month in advance for traffic school. I called Wong Traffic School the week of to confirm the time and form of payment, and received no response. Made numerous attempts to call and did not receive a single phone call back. I ended up calling the courts and found out that it is cheaper and easier to take an online traffic school — they even send the courts your certificate electronically.

first of all, if I could choose a negative star, I would do it, it is not even worth a one star rating!
the lady who ran this school is a total arrogant dominant freak! control freak! not into any customer service at all!
When I called to make an appt, I barely understand her poor English, I politely ask her to speak slowly so I can write down the address, instead, she repeated herself several times again and again, she is either deaf or does not want to listen to you. Then I asked whether she will be the teacher, because if so. I would never sign up. She said she is not teaching, she just do her job by taking the calls. Boy or boy, what a lier she is! She is not only the teacher, but in the class, when another student questioned her about the lying on the phone, she rudely told that student to leave the class…
during the course of class, she is not teaching, but self-​talking; when you have quesion or ask her to repeat sth, she became so irritated, that she began arguing with you! She deems anyone talking in the class, no matter what reason, is a threat to her power! she demeaning her students, not to mention the classroom condition, small, junky, dirty and cold! she is so stingy that she does not want to turn on the heater, although the heater does not feel any heat at all after turning on;
The whole exp. makes you feel that you will be better off paying off the fine than being there!
I wrote this so that there will fewer future victims!
The goverment should shut down her school!
I still could not believe that in the US 2011, someone this mean can run business and even run that business for 20 yrs, according to her bragging. What a tragety!!!

Okay… Okay…5 stars!!! Only because the woman who runs this place is a freaking riot (and she doesn’t know it)!
I’ve done online traffic school, but just had to see what all the hoopla was at this place… so I actually signed up.
And boy oh boy was it a riot!!! I forget her name (Vicky?) anywho… first of all if you’re late, she will demean you in front of everyone. She hates it when you interrupt her. A bunch of us kept raising our hands asking the same question «Uh when is our break?»…she would get livid! She talked about how she became «successful» with her traffic school business (including her accident)…and we all rolled when she would have everyone in the class read a bit or two… only to have her correct your grammar (of course we all did this on purpose)!!! A few of of us would pretend that we couldn’t read so she would end up finishing our sentences for us. And yep… she would yell and put you down! It’s hysterical!!!
So with that said… yeah she’s not professional at all but if you want to waste a few hours of her banter and what-not…this is a great place to go to. It make’s you appreciate what you’ve got.
Note: I am receiving text’s right now from someone who is there… and he’s cracking up! «Damn she’s a nutcase»!
So go sign up… I only wish I could have video-​taped the experience!

EXPLORE ALTERNATIVES IF YOU HAVE TIME. This place is disgustingly dirty and the lady who runs it (Vicky Wong) is very rude to the students. She pretends she doesn’t understand you when she doesn’t want to. It is very cramped, and filthy, including a toilet not fit for a ghetto gas station. It’s redeeming quality is that it has regularly scheduled classes and you will get your certificate after 7 hours of punishment. Don’t be late, or she will lock you out — which may or may not be a bad thing.

I tried calling this place, and as soon as I said «Hello» she hung up on me. We joke that this place should be called Very Wong.

I tried calling this school and the lady answering the phone does not have a very good understanding of the english language… that or she refuses to listen to me.
I had to repeat my phone number at least 15 times… I asked for a Friday class (5 times) and she kept on say how she is signing me up for a Saturday class. When I mentioned to her that there was a misunderstanding and that I really wanted a Friday class, she just hung up on me.
This place is definitely not interested in customers who have a choice. This dragon says, don’t bother with this place.

If you tell yourself…”Its supposed to be punishment” then it will be ok.
I took this Traffic School about 5 yrs ago in Alameda, and it was a long 7 hours.
First, she puts over 100 students in a small room with one toilet. Then she sells drinks at break time. It gets stuffy in the small room, and she starts telling traffic related stories. That’s about when you start falling asleep.
Second, some of students don’t speak English, so she has to translate in Chinese. The Hispanic man sitting next to me was out of luck.
After the break, there was a weird rotten egg smell coming from the toilet. There were no vents, so we had to deal with it.
The class itself is OK. Its mainly a group experience, and everyone has to answer questions. But putting everyone in a small room and closing the door is not pleasant. Ever since that experience… its been online traffic school for me.
Notes: Parking on street. McDonald’s is down the street on Central Ave. No vending machines. Coed toilet. Get plenty of sleep.
