A continuing educator and author, psychotherapy with individuals (and now couples) has always been at the core of my practice. I relish uncovering the mystery of unwanted behaviors and repetitive problems. There is a symbiotic relationship between my client work and my writing/class development: When I see which approaches help clients reach their goals, it teaches me how the psyche works and inspires me to articulate how best to help others.

History:
While I treasure my education and call upon it daily, it is the healing from my own eating disorder and self-esteem problems that made me wise and profoundly empathetic. The mindfulness practices I learned with Byron Brown freed me from the self-hatred that dominated every thought. I then revised his work so it benefits my eating disorder clients. In addition, now that I am in a healthy relationship, I counsel couples to create peace and connection in their union.
