this would be a 5 star establishment, if i hadn’t been subjected to a barrage of off topic conversation ranging from Downtown Abbey to the insecurities of short men and dental schooling, between the doctor and her assistants. the only pain i felt was in my ears as a result of non stop jabber and improper grammar. medically speaking, the job was done properly and in a timely fashion.

a fear-​free root canal! These folks were able to get me in quick, they asked me what station for relaxing music I would like to listen to and the best part was during I didn’t feel a darn thing. 2 days later and I am still a little bit sore, but they assured me that is normal. If God forbid I need another root canal in the future I could go see these people again in a heartbeat.

He deserved more than 5 stat very expert on what is he doing staff excellent welcome and highly recommended

First off, I would give Dr. Rezai more than 5 stars if I could…
Last week, I was at a different dentist’s office receiving a traumatizing and painful partial root canal that was performed by someone who was completely incompetent. This resulted in an infection and landed me in Urgent Care over the weekend. Desperate to not be seen by this same dentist to finish the job, I called Dr. Rezai’s office at the Alameda location and spoke with Theresa (Sp?) who by the way was so super nice and sympathetic to my situation, scheduled me right away with Dr. Rezai the very same morning (which was yesterday). He had done a root canal for my husband in the past about 4 years ago at the Orinda location and that went very smoothly and painlessly according to him. All I have to say is my visit with Dr, Rezai yesterday went exactly the way it was supposed to. He is experienced, extremely efficient, fully capable and knowledgeable of his profession. I felt like I was in very good hands and felt that my well being was of his highest priority. The tools he used at this Alameda office were modern and sophisticated. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Rezai for root canals and trust him implicitly. What a relief and wonderful ending to my situation. He is HANDS DOWN the specialist to go to. Period.

This is for Dr. Nick Morton who promptly and efficiently took care of my son’s gum infection — which turned out to be a root canal. Managed to fit us into his schedule the day before Thanksgiving, so we didn’t have to wait 4 more days for the office to open. Staff is friendly. Liked the free lip balm give-​aways too.

I had never had a root canal before and approached this with great trepidation. Silly me! Dr. Rezai’s staff was welcoming, friendly, and professional from the moment I walked in the door. The actual procedure was painless, (OK, slight pinch from the Novocaine needle), and they explained what they were going to do thoroughly. I don’t recommend a root canal, but if you have to have one, THIS is the place to go. Oh yes — and having a choice of what music I wanted to listen to during the procedure was great!

Last year got a root canal performed by Dr. Rezai. This year, one done by Dr. Morton. From the superb, relaxed front of house folks to the dental assistants to the two doctors, every aspect of their work was excellent. Both docs had a great, gentle, accurate touch applying the local anaesthetic. The assistants all were friendly, comforting and totally pro. Alameda’s fortunate to have such great talent right off of Park St.

Dr. Rezai has been doing all my root canal work since I was in the military. I’ve never had any post work problems either. The staff is so sweet and have become part of my family, since I’ve had about 5 root canals now lol. They don’t make you feel bad about your dental hygiene and Dr. Rezai is completely honest with you. I’ve been seeing them for close to a decade now & if I didn’t know any better I’d say I am their biggest fan aka patient bc of the many trips I’ve done here in the past & the many more to come. … No thanks to the military Dr’s for screwing up my jaw & teeth. Endodontist care sticks as it is but if you want it done right. … Go here!

Hubster had an emergency root canal two days before Xmas and what could have been a really terrible experience was by far the kindest, most hilarious holiday dental adventure as it could possibly have been.
Firstly, let me say that the man who manages the parking lot across the street in the Bank of America parking lot (where you can park if you’re going here) is a darling. Just about the cutest little old guy on the planet with manners of gold.
Our family dentist had made an appointment for the hubz over the weekend and the receptionist called early Monday morning to say that our dentist had only scheduled a consultation but would we like to come in for an actual appointment? The amount of pain the poor guy was in was such that another day would have likely taken him over a bridge somewhere, so that in itself was a minor scheduling miracle. THANK YOU!
Personally, I only got as far as meeting the receptionist, who was SUPER friendly and honestly, hilarious. Hubz says that both the assistant and the Endodontist who saw him were extraordinarily friendly, both seemed genuinely concerned about his well-​being and truly sympathetic to his pain and suffering. Those who have had a root canal know that the testing procedures to determine the culprit tooth can be excruciating and they made him pretty darn comfortable. Both also kept his mind occupied with real conversation, no petty small talk or political drivel here, and made him feel like an actual human being rather than a patient. He apparently got some life-​affirming advice from the doc that really hit home. :)
Buddy was pretty roughed out when I picked him up, having been there two hours and endured three sleepless nights prior, but he was STOKED about his experience and grateful for the spot-​on referral from our regular DDS. (Shoutout to Dr. Pirnazar!)
Finally, I got all of my holiday shopping done in nearby downtown Alameda while they worked! Hooray!
Seriously though, the peace of mind that comes with knowing that your loved one is in good hands is worth 10 stars alone. Thank you thank you!

This place is awesome– the office is pretty, and the receptionists, assistants, and doctors are all remarkably friendly.
After having a root canal with Dr. Morton, I don’t even understand why people dread this procedure. It was literally painless. The appointment was also made more enjoyable by the fact that Dr. Morton is really cute.

I had my first root canal yesterday with Dr. Rezai and I could’t be happier or more impressed with the service and level of care I received. I was extremely nervous about the procedure and the entire staff including Dr. Rezai put my fears at ease and made it an enjoyable experience. There was no pain and everything was extremely professional and efficient. He is very patient as is the staff and the equipment is state of the art.
I came here based on the other glowing Unilocal reviews and I whole heartedly agree. I can’t say enough about this practice! Thank you.

I had gone there twice and i think i made a really good decision.

Went here for a luncheon, and their office is niiiiiiiiiiceeeeeee ! comparing it to the one i work at a few blocks over. but it is really crammed. i like how roomy our dental office is for the patients. But in my comfort, i like the area to be compact. :D the dentists are really nice as i meet them during the luncheon. Same goes for the assistants: D

Decided to come here after finding very positive reviews on Unilocal.Dr. Rezai is very competent, courteous, and spends A LOT of time going through the treatment process. His office is also equipped with very hi-​end hi-​tech machines/​equipment, its more than what I’ve ever seen. He also offers 2 free follow-​up visits after your treatment to make sure everything is fine. His staff is a pleasure to work with. Highly rated.

I typically do not write reviews unless something is truly fantastic or the provided services have exceed my expectations to the point that I cannot stop talking about them to my friends.
I am happily joining other Unilocalers in singing accolades to the Rezai, Kim and Shuster practice. Dr. Shuster was AMAZING!!!
I went to my dentist for a regular cleaning and told him that something was wrong with my wisdom tooth. He checked everything and then, he kidded me about needing the root canal procedure. I was already scared hearing about it, but I thought he was joking. When he finally told me that he was serious and was referring me to this group of the dentists, I was really scared. But I called and made an appointment for the same day.
From the moment I entered their Alameda office, I was treated kindly, warmly and the staff tried to reassure me. During the consultation, Dr. Shuster explained everything clearly and he listened to my fears and my perhaps ignorant questions. He was patient and did not hint anything negative; he was not judgmental or critical about my fears. Instead, he was attentive.
On the day of the so dreaded root canal procedure, Dr. Shuster and the staff members of this office were supportive, reassuring and just plain sweet. Dr. Shuster was gentle, caring, and he worked very hard to make me feel relaxed and at ease. And… he was SO attentive that the moment I slightly flinched, he added another anesthetic. He really wanted me to be very comfortable. The procedure did NOT hurt, at all!
Therefore, I am recommending him without any reservation. If I need another treatment, I will return to Dr. Shuster at the Alameda office without hesitation. In fact, I hope that he will stay at this office for a long time.

I had to have a root canal re-​done because it was done improperly, and this place was amazing. Everyone was so nice and friendly. The dentist even called me himself after the procedure was done to make sure I was doing okay. I felt very comfortable, and am not even upset that I have to go get another next year when I have more insurance again. Wish I could say the same for my general dentist which I will not be using again.

Root canals are never fun. These people are the best! Very friendly, kind and caring, they made me feel comfortable and taken care or. I saw Dr. Kim who was impeccably ethical in telling me my options for treatment. Very efficient, punctual, skilled, and excellent follow-​up, as well as referrals. I highly recommend this office!

I am absolutely amazed! I just had the best dental experience of my life with Vlad Shuster DMD. I have dentist anxiety as a result of a few traumatizing experiences, which led to me avoiding going for years. A week ago I woke up in excruciating pain and knew I was about to pay for all those years of ignoring my cavities. I scheduled an appointment with a dentist here in Alameda, and after taking a few xrays, she referred me to Dr. Rezai’s office for a root canal. I had to hold back tears at the thought of a root canal because I have heard many horror stories! I was told to head straight over there so they could examine my mouth, and I was secretly hoping they wouldn’t have time to do the root canal today just so I could put it off a little while longer. When I got to Dr. Rezai’s office the lady at the front desk was super nice to me, I filled out the paper work, and was in the chair in no time. Dr. Shuster came in and introduced himself, simply explained the problem and said he was going to fix it. Like it was no big deal. Very straight forward and confident! I swear I did not feel a thing while he was injecting the stuff to numb me, and I freakin hate needles! As we were waiting for my mouth to numb the fear started to sink in, but as soon as they got started I almost wanted to laugh. It was so painless and comfortable, I was blown away. I’m also very impressed by how FAST the entire procedure was. I couldn’t believe when they were done. Ten times easier than any simple cleaning or filling I’ve ever had. I’m still not sure if I really had a root canal today! Lol. Dr. Shuster and his staff are amazing and I am so happy I was referred to a competent, gentle, skilled & confident endodontist. My root canal was a piece of cake, I only wish he did general dentistry as well. Thank you so much! Every one needs to get their root canals from this guy!

I am blown away, my socks are knocked off! I just received a call from Dr. Ali Allen Rezai’s office the other day. Apparently they read my review and was not happy with how the situation was handled and had been trying to get in touch with me to rectify the situation. The lady that took poorly care of my account is no longer there and instead a communicative Sophie who is the one that called me to apologize, rectify and credited me back the balance.
