Note: This review is specifically for the weekday lunch buffet, which at $ 8.45, may be the best deal in Alameda! I was impressed both by the quality and diversity of food! The food quality usually suffers with this much variety — by making everything, buffets like this risk making nothing well. That’s not the case here! I found my meal delicious as it was varied. A surprising number of vegetarian options, too!

Worst, terrible worst buffet I ever had. Poor food selection, terrible food quality and mostly fried unhealthy stuff. This business should close.

A disgusting restaurant which should be considered an insult to Chinese cooking. Food is left out in front of heat lamps for god knows how long, rude and incompetent waitresses who stare if you get too much food and the price was the biggest slap in the face — $ 35 for two for dinner. Gross.

2.5 stars The Staff is okay but the food is not very A-Okay. We went on a Saturday and the place wasn’t very busy(Halloween). Quite a few tables; food selection was okay, no extravagance. What I remember at the main buffet: noodle, rice, calamari, beef, broccoli, shrimp, chicken wings, clams, blue crabs, oyster baked in soy sauce, wanton soup. The side buffet had sushi rolls, cookies, and soft serve ice-cream. Overall, it wasn’t horrendous. Only the fried blue crabs were yucky/rancid/rotten. I took a bite and oh the humanity. I had to spit it right out! The Mongolian beef touted in their windows was not good/not worth it. It’s located at the end of the buffet line(on the right). You get what you want in a bowl and they cook it. There are meats, watered down sauces, and veggies. They give you a number and cook it on a humongous round flat stove top(?) right there. It wasn’t very good/tasty. I don’t think I’ll be back… but who knows. I may give it another try just to see if another day may yield different results.

What can I say, they are trying. The food is ok, the staff are very willing to go out of their way to give good service. But nothing really stood out to me.

Good food. Kung Poa is good. Do not dare the kitchen with a 5 pepper order, they will deliver the heat.

Solid Chinese buffet with a little Mongolian grill section. Outstanding steamed oysters. Very attentive service. Good with water and kind to my toddler son.

Not bad food but prices are cheap for lunch time and it’s so fast and convenient. The workers are very polite and quick to clean or tidy up the spots when you go to get more food. They leave your check on the table so you don’t have to ask for it later. The food is mediocre but definitely not bad. My dad loves to come here with his friends after work.

This place is what you call s mediocre, it is much better than the other buffet in Oakland as far as being clean. The service is ok. No refills on Sodas but they do have refills on ice tea. We came close to when they had opened, all the fish was gone I asked for more she said they don’t have any more!

Don’t walk in. Unless your looking for poor service. Empty steamer dishes. You have to beg them to get drinks and they make you wait so long to stir fry your food. Even at 6 on a Friday they turn off grill each time and you wait for warm up. Won’t be back. Regulars just put up with it it guess. Price is ok but I couldn’t wait to leave. Meter parking and it’s pretty hard to find a spot. Next time we had south to better Mongolian BBQ

Not necessarily a ton of options at the buffet but the food quality is amazing it makes up for it. Customer service is also pretty awesome here. I never once had an empty water glass. I recommend this place for sure!

Typical Chinese food quality is aiiiight, but I mostly come here for the convenience, right away bite and to pack on the protein. The stir fry area is where it’s at, make your bowl, take a number and it’s delivered to you in 1 minute. I must get a packed full of meat bowl at least 4 times beast mode. They have sushi but not that kinda sushi you know about but atleast they try. This plave is never closed l, open even on holidays. $ 9 for lunch, cant beat that. Never a seat wait, food is always replenished right after the other, the show goes on. The 5 stars also goes to the friendly happy service they give every customer that walks in. I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and 5 stars is what i should be voting.

The food is decent and right now they are having a $ 8.45 lunch special. Can’t beat the price and staff is very friendly.

Meh. Mediocre food, cheap price. I went here once and was underwhelmed but the husband likes the cheap price so we’re back again today. I definitely won’t be back again after today, although husband might. Greasy food and little to no flavor, but a really wide selection of food. Not horrible, but not great either. The ladies that work here are very nice.

This is rerally a 3.5 or so… Went on Christmas evening. Not busy, seated right-away. Server was very polite and friendly. Water came out quickly. Sis and I started with the buffet. Standard Chinese options and a sushi bar. I had the California rolls– they were good. Also had a bit of rice, chicken skewer(ginger chicken), some sweet and sour meat, some broccoli(fresh) and an egg roll. There was also a HUGE variety of sea food, but we didn’t trust it. It looked a bit old, and we really try to stay away from all you can eat seafood at Asian buffets(all buffets, really!!) :-) Sis had about the same, but she also did a bowl of Mongolian Bbq– she loved it! Put in all beansprouts with some chicken and cabbage– added a bunch of Sriracha sauce and it was back on the table in about 3 minutes! Piping hot– she loved it! Desserts were nice– sesame balls, fruit, cookies. Overall, a great place at a great price. I’ll be back for some Mon BBQ and sushi, especailly with all you can ‘eat’ ginger!!! :-) My fave!

Winner! Before going, you have to know what you are in for… this place is cheap, decent eats. Cheap Asian beers. nothing fancy, and nothing I am craving for while thinking about the place. However, everything is pretty good, the chow mein and rice are tasty and the mongolian grill where you can choose your own ingredients is awesome! A tip: you can ask for minced garlic from the kitchen to add to your mongolian stir fry. If I only had $ 10 to eat on for a day, this is where I would be… lots of good stuff, good staff and easy parking. I go about once per month and make sure I have a nap planned for after…

Where to start… I looked this place up on Unilocal, ignored the reviews, & went anyway… mistake For starters this place should be like $ 7.99 not a whole 10 $ Small buffet area but sufficient enough to cover all areas of your typical buffet standards but nothing memorable or anything Id really care to eat again… Think of it as a to-go Chinese restaurant plus California rolls and a fruit bar When we arrived food was sitting in sauce and you could tell it had been doing just that for a while by the film that had formed over it… I was happy they put out a couple new things when we arrived because the day old looking sweet & sour was not cutting it Best things here were probably the eggrolls and pot stickers Great managment… nice and accommodating staff but the place was just a disappointment and a let down to me… would have even preferred to go to panda instead

Damn you Unilocal for not having half stars. This is really 2.5, but I rounded up to 3. I went here for lunch buffet. A lot of options, can’t say many of them were tasty. They have standard sushi(CA rolls) and a whole bunch of fried Chinese plates dumped in a lot of oyster like sauce. The one thing that made this place decent though was the stirfry bar, where you choose a bunch of noodles, beef, and veggies, put it in a bowl, and they’ll stir fry it for you right there. That alone was worth going to the buffet.
