Just Threading

2 stars because I’m trying very hard to be nice.
I am now editing this to one star upon further inspection of my brows.
I signed up at 5:00PM with 3 people ahead of me. I was not contacted by 5:50PM (which wasn’t a huge deal, I wasn’t in a rush) but I decided to check what was going on because I don’t think it should take an hour to do 3 people. I saw that my name was checked off as if I had been taken care of already. We asked the lady (whose name I didn’t bother getting) if she tried contacting me, and she mumbled «Oh, I usually try to call and if they don’t answer or reply then I take the next person, or if I can’t understand the writing,» while finishing up with another customer. Okayyy, not a a very clear answer… I didn’t receive any phone calls or texts, and I told her that, and she didn’t really have much to say after that. I can assure that my phone wasn’t being buggy, I am receiving phone calls and texts just fine (hey, maybe her phone is being buggy, I dunno, could just be a tech problem but I highly doubt it considering her lack of concern with answers that kind of beat around the question, so I’m almost certain she didn’t even try to get ahold of me). Also, not to brag, but my handwriting was probably the most legible print on the list, so that was just a stupid thing to even bring up.
Anyway, moving on… she took me after finishing up with the customer she was helping when I got there. No smile, no sincerity, honestly she looked bothered (but maybe I’m confusing this with exhaustion, all she talked to me about was that it’s been really non-​stop busy lately). She did apologize for the wait but hadn’t bothered to elaborate on why she couldn’t seem to contact me. Okayyy… whatever lol. At this point I’m kind of just annoyed, she did my eyebrows and they aren’t even that great. She did ask me if it looked okay but I just lied and said yeah because I wanted to get the hell out of there and I didn’t want to bother her any further. My eyebrows are uneven and sloppily trimmed. I shouldn’t be talking, I couldn’t have done a better job, but that’s why I paid $ 17 to have them done, so it was pretty disappointing. I will not be returning, I wish 808 threading was still here instead of this place.

I usually pay $ 8 for my eyebrows and its almost $ 18 here. But she did a good job on my eyebrows. The lady did make my husband’s eyebrows a bit shorter and even missed some hairs.

So coming from NJ where eyebrow threading is only 11 dollars this place was definitely over priced. However it was cheaper then some other places that were Unilocaled. The woman was very nice but her threading skills are very slow and pretty painful. The end result was great I love threading better than waxing to begin with and I would suggest threading over waxing. Definitely go and experience yourself but maybe see if their is another threader with a little more experience.

She does an excellent job and I was impressed! Performed a miracle on my daughters eyebrows.

I came here because I was frankly tired of waxing. I told Leelah it was my first time and she talked me through it the whole way. She really took her time on my brows. When it came time to thread under my arch I was anticipating the pain many girls talked about, but I had NONE whatsoever. No pain at all! I am officially converting to threading now. Go see Leelah she is awesome.

A couple of weeks ago I had my brows done at the Hickam location. It was a long wait but totally worth it. Mary did my brows and they came out perfect! I highly recommend Just Threading. I’ve had numerous compliments on my brows since. Thank you Mary! :)

Just Threading is located in the Hickam BX just outside the food court area in their own kiosk.
They offer facial threading to include eye brows, lip, chin, etc.
They have two chairs at the kiosk, but both times that I have been there, only one person was working, so depending on what time of day you go, there can be a bit of a wait, especially since threading does take a bit longer than waxing does.
At my most recent visit Mary did my brows. I have been waxing forever and let me tell you if I ever allowed my brows to return to their natural state, I think I would look like Groucho Marx. However I do have to disagree with the statement of «threading hurts less than waxing.» I have had multiple areas of my body waxed without tearing up, and the entire time I was getting threaded, my eyes were tearing.
With that being said, it was definitely worth the discomfort. Mary was meticulous in her work. She took the extra time to measure my eye brows multiple times to make sure that my arches were even and that she didn’t leave any stray hairs.
Just Threading has several locations on Oahu to include one on Schofield and one in Aiea and one at Winward Mall, so you definitely don’t need base access to give them a chance. Also Mary said their prices are a bit lower in Aiea.
They take cash or card which is also a plus.
Will definitely stop by again next time my brows need a shape up.
