Hickam Federal Credit Union

Very long lines, less bank tellers, and most of bank tellers don’t really understand what you request.

Conveniently located right in pearlridge, it is a great credit union with lots to offer. I currently have a car loan, personal loan, my kids savings account, a personal checking and savings account with them. The staff is friendly and always accomadating. They are always on point and knowledgeable about any questions I have. Love this credit union.

The Pearlridge location can get busy, but the products offered at Hickam FCU are really good. These guys have fixed interest rate credit cards as low as 7.5%. Yes, 7.5%!!! I just consolidated my personal loan and car loan with this bank for 2.5%. Yes, a promotional personal loan at 2.5%! They have interest bearing checking accounts with no large minimum balance needed. So in terms of products, I can easily say that by far the products that they do offer are better (cheaper) than any large bank or credit union that I know!

Would not recommend this credit union to anyone. We have loans through them never been late on a payment once or anything, and they refuse to work with us for moving our car off island. They do not care about their members at all.

Wouldn’t recommend opening a saving account for your kids here unless you keep making transaction to it. My kid spends the cash he receives as gift, so he never puts it into his savings because it’s a waste of a driving trip for only $ 10-​$ 20. Turns out this bank charged my kid $ 10 a month for not making any transactions so a total of $ 70. I always thought leaving an amount over $ 100 would be safe but I guess I was wrong. Going to close his account and ours as well. It shows they don’t value their customers, even the ones that have bank with them for almost 10 years.

After many recent and unsuccessful ventures, I must update my review on the pearlridge hickam location from 3 stars to 1. Believe me, if I could give 0 stars I would! The first big situation is when Hickam screwed up my 6 – 11 month CD and did absolutely nothing to rectify the problem. I had managers telling me I’d get a call back in a couple hours, which never came. I ended up having to call them back and was constantly transferred or put on hold. I eventually ended up having to go to the Mililani branch to have them fix the issue. The manager at mililani was so embarrassed that she apologized to me on behalf of the pearlridge location (since they obviously didn’t care). After their customer service (or lack thereof) I swore to myself I’d never go back.
Unfortunately, I broke that promise and decided to go back to get a simple notary done. Sounds easy enough right? WRONG! After sitting for half an hour finishing up six notaries, the branch manager tells me he is unable to finish the final notary because the «original» trust documents were not present. Keep in mind trust documents are private and he has no right to view what the documents are about. All i needed was for him to see me sign the notary and document the day, time, etc. I ended up having to call my attorneys who spoke with the manager and told them this has never been an issue before and no other notary location has ever needed the original trust information. He wouldn’t budge so here I am leaving with an «almost» finished notary. My attorneys actually had to tell me to just go to a different location because «That Bank Sucks!» When you have attorneys telling you to stay away from a certain bank, well let’s just say it must be for a reason.
Now this time around when I say i’m never going back, well. I’M NEVER GOING BACK!

I don’t personally bank with this credit union but the staff here is very friendly and prompt. The reason I came was because a client banks here and they offer free notary for members. You can call in ahead to schedule a time to meet the notary person and they take care of everything in an efficient and timely manner. Walk in’s are also available if you need something right away if the notary person is in. Great location in the Pearlridge Shopping Center. Lots of parking and it’s very convenient that you can visit them while shopping or dining at Pearlridge.

I switched to Hickam Federal Credit Union and refinanced my auto loan here. The Pearlridge branch is really nice. It is conveniently located in the Pealridge Shopping Center uptown side closer to where the new Ross is going to be. It is also right across of satellite city hall and Mastercuts on the 2^nd floor. The staff and customer service is alright. The refinancing process went pretty smooth. I was able to get a better rate through this branch which I am satisfied and content with. They have a receptionist up front there to greet you and answer any questions that you may have. I am on switched over because this branch is so much closer to home and it also helps since I work in the mall. I didn’t save too much on monthly payments but its one less year that I have account for my overall duration of the auto loan.

They have the worst customer service. I had so many unexplained issues with my account. I don’t recommend this credit union. Morale seems low also when I walk into this credit union. Bad experience compared to HSFCU.

I’ve been with this bank for about 2 years. I never had a problem regarding anything. I mostly just go there now to pay my credit card bill.
Suggestion: go during the morning because there are fully staffed with tellers compared to afternoon when there are only 2 or 3 tellers.

I came here to get a loan for my car and had to open up an account. The person that helped me and my dad out was really nice and efficient. They have locations in mililani, pearlridge kapolei and their main branch in hickam so at least its somewhat close to home. Overall, I’m glad that everything worked out with them and cuz now im driving in one of my dream cars ;).

Been with Hickam Fcu for about 8 years now. I don’t live or work in the area anymore but I use to.
You can become a member as long as you work, live, or preach in the area I guess? something like that. lol.
I always kept this as my main bank because its convenient and fun for me. Where else can you go bank and walk around a mall at the same time?
they’re always open til 6pm everyday and 3 on Saturday. It’s on my way home from work so its convenient for me, if its crowded I walk around til it slows down. I HATE Lines that’s why .
I’ve gotten to know most of the staff there and they are very friendly and always smiling. Only once in a while they hire new ones, then pray you don’t get them :) jk Haha .
Great bank and low rates and specials all the time on their loans.
