I’ve been coming to Dr. Regala and Dr. Su for a few years now and as much as I hate the dentist, they make«tortuous» procedures seem not so bad lol. Their office is located in the Aiea Medical Building on the 6th floor off Aiea Heights Drive, across the street from the Aiea Shopping Center/Aiea Bowling Alley. The parking situation sucks here as the stalls are pretty narrow and getting out onto a busy road may take some time; so I usually just get dropped off, plus I don’t like to pay for parking haha. I like that they have Saturday appointments once a month, as I work normal business hours, and coming on a weekday would be impossible. The receptionists here are all very friendly, and if an opening on a Saturday opens up, they always call their clients to see if we want to move our dates, especially since their Saturdays usually fill-up quickly. I also like how they always call you to remind you of your appointments since normal cleaning appointments are usually bi-annual, and 6 months in-between can be quite forgetful! Janet is usually my hygienist’s assistant, and she always remembers me and conversations we had from previous appointments. And you know they care for you when they’re constantly reminding you to floss your teeth and giving you recommendations on how to better use certain products. For example, when I got my wisdoms pulled, the place I went to created a huge gap from where they pulled my bottom left wisdom tooth. Because of that gap, I have to be cautious on cleaning not only my teeth and flossing, but I have to use this tool to also clean out that gap. Janet was so kind to not only give that tool to me for free, but how to use it. On my last visit, I had to replace my fillings in my bottom and top back teeth on the left side only. Before I came into this appointment, they had given me an idea on who much it would cost me so I would be prepared. Luckily, my company offers their employees a FSA account and they accept it here, which makes my life easy as it’s not quite coming out of my own pocket. Also on their statement of services receipt, they include your upcoming appointments. And like I said about their Saturdays filling up quickly, they already had me booked not only for my next appointment in November this year, but the whole year of 2017 :)

I came here as a referral from my coworker and I have been happily coming here for a couple years now. The office staff is very friendly and they accept my dental insurance(HDS) here. My hygienist is very friendly and I’m always surprised how much she remembers our conversations that we had one or even a few dental cleaning visits before. I am in the healthcare field also and I usually don’t remember too many conversations I have with most of my patients, unless they told me something crazy or caught my interest. As much as I hate cleaning my teeth, my hygienist is very gentle and my gums don’t hurt for days after. I ate a lot of candy as a child therefore I have quite a bit of fillings in my back teeth. My previous dentist was replacing my old silver fillings with the white resin fillings and I’m almost done redoing them. Drs Regala and Su have had to replace some of my newer ones because I had some holes in them from my teeth grinding at night. The costs add up but I like the white ones better than the silvers. I have a FSA account with my employer so I get to dip into that when I come here, so it’s almost like having a discount. The staff here is very friendly and upfront with the cost of treatment, so i will keep coming here.

This dentist may be friendly but beware, all they want is your money. I have been going to this dentist for as long as i can remember. Going to the dentist is one of my least favorite places to go and im sure everyone else agrees as well. I went in for my normal 6 month check-up and the main dentist told me that i «needed» to do a deep cleaning or else my gums will deteriate. They always make everything so dramatic. Its annoying. So after my check-up was done i went to the front desk and they asked me about the deep cleaning that was so necessary. I told the receptionist that i will think about it and i will let her know. I thought that was going to be the end of it until my next appointment when they told me again. However, i was scheduled for this deep cleaning appointment without my knowledge. I go in to the dentist for my appointment thinking its a regular appointment, but then the lady starts digging in my mouth and it hurts. I was thinking, wow this is crazy never had an appointment like this before, why are they digging so hard at my teeth. So after everything is done, the lady that just dug at my teeth told me that i just had a deep cleaning. I was thinking, what? and why was i not told that thats what she was doing. When i walked to the front desk, they handed me a bill for $ 87!!! like OMG! really? what the heck!!! i was soooo mad, but i am not the kind of person to yell and curse someone out. I hold in my anger and vent and complain to it about my friends, boyfriend and family. Now they are sending me my regular appointment flier in the mail. They think that i am gonna keep going there after what they did to me. I think not! You cant perform a procedure on someone without telling them what you are doing. That is just legally wrong. I am so upset with them and i will never recommend anyone to go there. I guess«i will think about it» really means that okay lets do it. Maybe they should take the wax out of their ears and listen to what their patients are saying to them. DONTGOHERE! THEYWILLRIPYOUOFF!
