Epic Nails

I have only been coming to Epic Nails for a few months now, but they do an excellent job and make you feel right at home! Nicole and Yana are great and continue to provide excelleny service and the quality of work they do is an a A+.

I was in here last Friday and I was a bit thrown off with their lack of customer service. I walked in after work and I didn’t have an appointment, so I asked a woman by the name of Nicole if they took walk ins and she didn’t seem happy about the question so I said, it’s Friday, you’re busy I can make an appointment for another day, I was just walking by… So she didn’t say anything and handed me a basket with option of nail colors. I waited for about 35 minutes. I then sat down and in the middle of Nicole taking off my nail polish, she gets up and says, «My customer’s here, and walks away.» I was like ok, hum who is finishing my nails and she pointed to the person finishing up, I wait another 20 minutes. During the time that my nails were getting done, Nicole made a few remarks that I didn’t find appropriate and I asked her a question and she just gave me a blank, What are you stupid for asking look. Then, the customer answered for her as she was too rude to answer. Geez, it was just a question. Anyhow, during the time that I was getting nails done, 3 people walked in and complained about chipped nails. That was my 3^rd red flag but I still stayed… My nails looked nice, can’t complain but there’s nothing NO-​CHIP about them. I had a chip the next day and have small chips all over. I was gonna go back but honestly don’t wanna deal with the crappy customer service and I saw how long they made the people that went back for repairs wait. NO THANKS! There are many nail salons that respect the customer, I’ll take my business elsewhere. BTW for the person that responds to these reviews, learn to take one and maybe use it to learn a thing or two about your staff. They’re not very professional. Have you ever heard of constructive criticism?

They’re welcoming, happy and very professional! In very particular about my nails!!! I love them every time! I allow Tim to do what he wants on my nails, he’s an artist on nails!!! I also have my eyebrows and lashes done by Nicole, who I completely LOVE!!! She’s AMAZING!!!
I would NEVER go anywhere else!!! They keep the atmosphere light and energetic!!! Awesome place!!!
Last but not least Tia… LOVE LOVE LOVE HER!!! I look forward to see her so I can see her latest outfit!!! Plus today is her 2^nd BIRTHDAY!!! Happy Birthday Princess Tia!!!

Great no-​chip manicure and pedicure. First time in Illinois and I am glad I found a great place to go when I come back in vocation in a few weeks. The staff is great and there is a great variety of nail colors. I loved my no chip manicure. And they offer a 20% off discount which makes it even greater. Defiantly with recommend my Illinois friend to come and try the place out.

Good place. Love my nails. Got a no chip nail and it turned out great. Didn’t have to wait. Prices were good. I’ll be back again thank you !!!

Any one who knows me knows I take my nails quite seriously. There is nothing worse than paying for a manicure to have it chip that very same day.
Living in this area for years, I have literally tried every nail salon within a 10 mile radius. I was frustrated at a lack of durability with my manicures. One night when I was grabbing a bite at Elio’s (another great gem!), I saw a sign for nail place that I haven’t tried before. Like most of us do I immediately check Unilocal for some reviews. However, coming from a family of bussiness owners, I have learned that some Unilocal users abuse the system. I had to try it out for myself.
I couldn’t be happier with the results. I have gone in for basic manicures, a full set of acrylics, a couple fills, and to get my eyelashes done. The entire staff is friendly an equally awesome. I’m sure many of you can relate going into a nail salon where the talent is not consistent amongst the nail artist. But that is not the case here! Not to mention the prices are beyond reaonable, and the nail artist can duplicate even the wildest of Pinterest ideas. I highly recommend this place!

I love this place! The owners make you feel so comfortable and everyone cracks jokes. It’s a great time! They can do any design you like and seem like they enjoy their jobs. My favorite place by far!

Horrible service. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced this kind of service at a nail salon before. The owner did my fill. Normally it should take around 20 – 30 min, but he did it very rushed and not complete within 10 min. I’m frustrated and don’t think my fill will last me for a bridal shower I am going to in two days. Most of the nail polishes looked old or diluted with something. The acrylic is around my nail on my skin it looks horrible. Very disappointed. Wish I could get my money back.

I am new to the area and my neighbor had referred me here. I have been coming here since October and I can say I am not going anywhere else. Tim and Nicole are great, friendly and they do a great job!

I went to this salon to get my nails done, and no one asked me if I had been helped at all. Then to add insult to injury there was another woman of color who was also there and she had made an appointment, and the staff assumed I was with that woman. In an attempt to rectify my 45 min wait. They did eventually do my nails, but the service was so rushed that my fill in didn’t make it through the week. I paid full price for an pedicure and gel fill and the paint on my toes chipped by day 4, and fill in didn’t even last a week. I have no desire to go back to this salon.

Nail Salons They Are Plenty All Over, But None Are Like Epic Nails! Great People, Amazing Professional Services, Super Talented! Tim & Nicole Are Amazing At What They Do, Tim Always Does My Nails And Never Have I Ever Complained Or Disliked Anything, Nicole Has Done My Eyelashes And Eyebrows And I Always Get Compliments On Everything! Pedis Are So Relaxing! By Far My Favorite Nail Place, Never Will I Go Anywere Else!!! They Make You Feel Right At Home! I’ve Recommended So Many Friends Already Here & They All Love It Also! Simply Amazing!!!

With hundreds of nail salons with comparable prices in Addison, Elmhurst, Bloomingdale you don’t need to come here. You have a ton of nail places to choose from. This salon, since being under new ownership has completely lacked in customer service. People come to salons to be pampered and to relax. You won’t find that here. This place is run like a circus act. Tim is chatting away with girls while you are sitting there waiting to be seated. It is loud and obnoxious and just overkill with the chattiness. Maybe if he quit fraternizing with his clients he’d have more time to do his job!
Owner (Tim) is completely unprofessional. I used to think he was a nice guy. The more I have been coming here, the more I have noticed a change in his customer service. This place is much more busy than Laura Nail’s ever was (former owner). With that being said, you need to make sure you acknowledge and are courteous to your loyal paying customers and regulars.
I always call for an appointment prior to coming in. Few nights ago I called and spoke to Tim. I asked him if the salon was busy and that I needed a pedicure and a fill. He said to just come in. Upon my arrival there were 4 people waiting ahead of me. After 20 min. I was then told to go to the pedicure chair where my feet soaked for over 45 minutes. Tim never even acknowledged me when I walked in, nor did he say «Sorry for the long wait…» «We’ll be with you soon…» NOTHING! Nicole handled the situation by finally starting on my nails when I was ready to walk out. I ditched the pedicure as I didn’t want to be there any longer than I already had. Nicole actually saved me as a customer as she was sympathetic to my frustration and tried to remedy the situation. She is much more professional than Tim, too bad she doesn’t own the salon!
I realize salon’s get busy and I don’t mind waiting. But if I am calling in first, asking if your busy and you tell me to come in and make me wait over an hour that is just plain dishonest and rude when you know I am a loyal customer! In addition, I got a huge attitude from him as I was paying and leaving??? I will take my business elsewhere. Beware, they also will upcharge you at the drop of a hat even though they have promotions going on… slimy. They have seen the last of me and my referrals.

1^st time trying this place out and was a bit nervous because I’ve gone to a place in elmhurst forever. Epic was recommended so I tried it out. So far so good! My nails look great, very friendly people and I was in and out with a full set in 36 minutes … Yes 36 minutes! I will defiantly be going back!

Horrible experience! 1 hour waiting for service inside an empty business! Reporting the bad business to the right party.

I got my nails done there for the first time about a month ago. I was very impressed because in other salons you see the owners kids running around. Which I feel is very unprofessional. Well, went in for my second appointment (fill in, pedicure and wax), I thought I have seen it all, the owners bring there dog. And while I’m getting my eyebrows wax (which I had no idea that it wasn’t in another room), the dog is licking my ankles. Not for nothing I was paying for the $ 30 spa treatment and I don’t think the licking of a dog was part of the package. About a week later I come in because four of my nails were lifting. I tried to explain this to the owner and he said that he would fix it. So, the worker who fixed it basically fixed the four nails that I told were lifting. And everytime I tried to talk to them stating that to just give me a fill in then said «don’t worry I fix». Well, the nails still lifted and nothing was done correctly. And I paid $ 10 for a polish change because they couldn’t find the original color! So, that being said. No I don’t recommend this place. If I am going to pay for a service that requires professionalism then they are not the ones!

I have tried several nail salons in Addison. Tim and Nicole at Epic far surpass the others in quality of service and products. They have made me feel welcome and part of the family since they opened Epic. I always get compliments on my no chip manis. I also get the best pedicures here, too. Nicole is amazing at eyebrow wax and eyelashes. When you go, be sure to say hi to Tia the yorkipoo:)

I face booked this salon to ask if they had a menu. I was planning on booking a bridal party there. I was surprised to have been told that since i wasn’t a customer i was not a concern.

This is the best nail place in town! Nicole and Tim are so friendly and genuinely nice! I have come in with both my kids (7 & 3 months) and there is never a problem. Tia the little puppy keeps my oldest busy while I get my nails done. My pedicures always feel amazing and relaxing and my manicures look perfect! I wouldn’t go anywhere else but here!

U can pretty much go anywhere these days to get ur nails done. as for me i go to EPIC NAILS. i go for the incredible service. the promptness n the great job they do. these guys r young n hip n they know whats gooood!!! No matter what mood im in when i go there, i always leave with a smile!!! Iv been going here for at least 10 years n i hav NOT taken my business anywhere else. and i will always be a dedicated customer to the most amazing. upbeat n talented team at ur one n only EPIC NAILS!!!
