Brows & Beyond

A long time ago I used to frequent Brows & Beyond for my brow needs. Not that I wasn’t happy with my brows or the service, but at that time I decided to go elsewhere.
I had been perusing Unilocal for a closer option and came upon Brows & Beyond with all their great reviews. I called to inquire about Bella since she was the one who used to take care of me, unfortunately I was told she is no longer there. I had become hesitant about returning after learning this. But decided to go anyways and I’m very glad I did!
Shona (not sure how it’s spelled, sorry!) was there when I walked in and immediately took care of me. I made sure to let her know that I had spent a lot of time to grow my brows and fears of being over threaded, but she assured me that she knew what she was doing. She leaned me back and went to work! I’m in love with the results and will definitely be going back to her!

I’ve been here a few times for eyebrow threading because it is so convenient & fairly new.
Bella is outstanding. She did a wonderful job making sure my brows were perfectly shaped. She listened while I explained how I wanted them to look (full and sculpted). Honestly, she’s probably one of the better threadists I’ve had the pleasure of meeting (aside from Beauty Concept’s in Darien).
She’s also a wealth of knowledge re: eyebrows and lashes. They also do brow tinting, lash extensions and various threading & waxing services. I’ve always preferred threading over waxing, so I’m thrilled there is a salon nearby! $ 8 for brows and your in & out!
The salon is newer, very clean & cozy. They have about 4 chairs. You can walk-​in, or call ahead and its open 7 days a week! It’s never been crazy busy when I’ve walked in…
Do yourself a favor and grab a wood fired pizza from Elio’s right next door when your done!

Just stopped in on New Years Eve right before closing. Was assisted by a new eyebrow artist… Yes-​Artist! I quickly inquired her name as I had never encountered her before. Shauna-​my artist– did my eyebrows so quickly and with such finesse.
I always do waxing first because I have thick eyebrows and they grow back fast like weeds. She did the wax so fast and then threaded to clean up and then trimmed with scissors, and finally toner. Wam! Bam! Thank you Ma’am! I didn’t see them until she was done and they were perfect. PERFECT! There are not enough words to express my gratitude and satisfaction.
I text my friends after and she also exclaimed that she went and was assisted by Shauna. PS I started sending said friend to Brows and Beyond. We are definitely going to keep coming back. I will be calling ahead to ensure she is there when I need my brows done.

I just want to update my review because I’ve been going to Shona specifically since she started at Brows & Beyond and I won’t go to anyone else– she does my eyebrows perfectly and quickly and shes a pleasure to talk to while in the chair!

I have been getting my eyelash extensions done at places all over the Chicagoland area and I’m NEVER going anywhere else again! Lana made my eyelashes, which are extremely fine and few, look like Brooke Shields’ with mascara on! So impressed
And eyebrows: I have been deathly afraid to get them waxed or threaded because of horrible experiences and allergic reactions i the past. Lana offered to tweeze them, but promised she would be very gentle if I decided to get them threaded. I figured– «hey she just did a million dollar job on my lashes. I’m going to have a little faith.» Boy am I ever glad I did!!! All the hair (and lack of hair) on my face looks perfect

Awesome! I was looking for a eyebrow place to get my eyebrows threaded and tinted closer to my house in Villa Park. Everyone that knows me knows I don’t have eyebrows, they are so blonde and faded. So my normal lady I go to in Elmhurst is always booked and I can never find an appointment after 5pm. So from all the other reviews I wanted to check out this place. I love that I can also use my credit card on purchases over $ 20, so that is a huge win for me since I never carry cash.
I called and made an appointment at 5:15, walked in waited about 2 minutes and was sat and immediately consulted on what I wanted done. The whole experience was relaxing and very professional. Just what I needed after a long day of work and being the car. I love how my eyes brows turned out. She recommended that I come every two weeks. Ill be definitely making at least a once a month appointment here.

I have been meaning to write this review for a while. They are AMAZING. I have been coming here for a little over a year now and i refuse to let anyone else even touch my eyebrows.

I was here for the first time earlier today, reason I didn’t give 5 stars was bc the girl that did my eyebrows was very rude. I went in at 6:30 and she seemed upset since they close at 7, she even said she had shut down her cc terminal. Next time I’ll ask for Lana since she sounds wonderful! :-) The place was clean and I liked that there was free parking. I will go back next time but will call before.

Lana is the best around! I will go out of my way if I have to, in order to have her do my eyebrows! Also the pricing for threading or waxing is super inexpensive. Highly recommend this place to all my friends.

Lana is the best. I don’t think I will ever trust anyone with my eyebrows ever again. After years of them being over plucked and waxed too thin she has helped me grow them into a beautiful full shape. Thanks Lana :)

I have been going to Lana for about a year now. We all know how nerve-​wracking it can be to entrust your eyebrows into someone’s care, but she does the best job EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. So glad I decided to come to Brows & Beyond when I did. Lana is a sweet lady, the shop is always clean, calm music plays in the background, and she really pays attention to detail. Any requests you have, she fulfills. I don’t have any complaints!

Bella is amazingly talented with her threading skills. My brows are flawless. I am never disappointed she is always pleasant and friendly. She takes her time and asks your preference unlike many threaders out there. She remembers her customers and I think think that says a lot about her and shows her dedication to her craft. She provides top notch service check her out!

Lana is the sweetest! I was looking for a place to get my eyebrows done and get lash extensions for a wedding. I read the reviews for this place and I immediately made an appointment.
It was empty, but it could just be because I went on a Thursday morning. This was also my first time getting lash extensions so I didn’t know what to expect. Lana greeted me with a warm welcome and I felt so comfortable. The ambiance was so soothing. The music playing was relaxing – not the stuff playing on radio on repeat. It was a quick and easy process and the final results look great! I went on with my day and received a lot of compliments on them. They look natural and are not heavy. Lana did an amazing job. Definitely going back!

Popped in here on my lunch break. Walked in a caterpillar walked out a brand new butterfly! My eyes hadn’t been in over a month they needed some TLC badly. I Unilocaled places near my job and stumbled upon this place. I totally cheated on normal brow place, but in a way it was worth it.
It’s clean. The woman working was friendly. She worked fast, yet didn’t miss a hair. I did feel every.single. hair being pulled which was a negative. I took a Tylenol 20 mins prior to showing up and I still felt everything. Normally, I feel little to no pain at my regular joint. I felt like such a noob today with how badly it hurt. Maybe I shouldn’t go so long between threadings.
I’d probably stop in again if I had cash. It’s $ 7 for threading, but if your total is less than $ 20 they won’t let you use cc/​debit which is a HUGE negative in my book since I rarely if ever have cash on me.

Lana was the friendliest businesswoman I’ve met in a while. Hearing her stories of how she came to start her own business was extremely impressive and one of the reasons I was so interested in her work.
I came with 3 others who wanted a threading (reasonable at $ 7) but unfortunately I let my brows go BEYOND normal parameters and end up needing some serious waxing ($ 10). Lana did a great job bringing my brows back to normal. Her pricing is very reasonable and I have mad respect for the woman.
On top of all that, her place is super clean and swank. We were back the next day with another customer. I’m a future client!

My brows love Lana. That is why I followed her here to Addison.
The studio was opened recently and offers waxing, threading, and eyelash extensions. She even has a little jewelry for sale. The space is clean, modern, and simple. My eyebrow cleanup (threading) was only $ 9 which was less expensive than what I had been paying at the previous salon. (Side note: credit cards are accepted for services over $ 20.)
I can tell you that I’ve never received so many complements about by eyebrows since I’ve been seeing Lana. Go and support this small business!

Finally! An eyebrow threading establishment close to home!
I should really mention that Brows & Beyond is more than just threading. They offer eyebrow/​facial waxing and eyelash extensions. They accept walk-​ins but Lana had a huge following in a nearby ‘Burb and more than likely they will follow here so best to call beforehand if you’re worried about a wait.
Threading is my choice of eyebrow maintenance and Lana (the owner and sole operator for now) did a wonderful job shaping and clearing up my brows. She takes a bit more time than what I’m used to so there’s a bit more pain but the results were wonderful. Lana also applies a really nice cream/​astringent to your skin afterward so the final result is clean, smooth, soft skin.
The shop is clean, sleek and modern. Soft colors and soft music makes the space very relaxing.
I didn’t get a chance to talk with Lana for very long as another client walked in for services but I did chat a bit about the eyelash services and that sounds worth checking out. Especially when you’ve got upcoming events.
$ 17 for services (lip and eyebrows). Cost a bit more than my usual places but for the convenience to being closer to home and the wonderful service, it’s worth future visits.
