Papa John’s Pizza

Terrible experience. I called the Addison location and dialed their phone #. Someone with an accent answered and took my order. At no point did that person tell me that the Addison location was closed. When I drove there I couldn’t find the place so I called back and was rerouted to the Elmhurst location on York and North ave — 15 min away with no traffic. My order was finished just as I called so now with the added time it was just going to sit there. I should have cancelled but I felt bad so I drove there. When I got there and complained I was offered little apology. The guy just kept saying «Addison location is closed». Duh! How was I supposed to know that when someone answered their phone # and took my order??? I ended up leaving with my lukewarm pizza and it was completely cold by the time I got home which is a half hour from the location. Completely disappointed and though I like their pizza I won’t go back to ANY location.

We ordered from this pizza joint a lot (we have a lot of parties). We have always been fans of papa johns and this location in particular has always been very kind. The drivers were always super sweet. We are sad to see that this location won’t deliver to our home anymore. There is no papa johns in the area that will deliver to our area! What gives? Bad business move :/

This is a brand new location. It’s conveniently located on Lake St. in Addison. The staff is all pretty new, but the manager seems to really know what she’s doing.
We placed our first order today for pickup. We wanted to make sure it was nice and clean and it is. We placed our order at 11:30am for pickup at 2:15pm the same day. We walked in the door at 2:14pm and the young lady was boxing up the pizzas at that very moment. That is precision.
With the specials they are running right now, we got four large pizzas (one pepperoni, one sausage, one veggie lover, and one with the works) for $ 30. Not bad. It fed our group of 9 adults and we even had three slices left over.
As long as service stays good, and the quality doesn’t slip, this location will do well in Addison.

This place just opened this week. I never had Papa John’s pizza before and they had sent out coupons for a $ 4.99 grand opening special for a large one topping pizza. I was curious as to how the quality of the pizza was going to be, so I ordered one. Half Sausage, half mushroom. Their idea of a large pizza is a 14 inch pizza which is actually a medium.
Yikes! Probably the worst ever. The little pieces of sausage tasted like breakfast sausage, not Italian sausage. The little pieces of mushroom tasted like,…well they actually had no taste. The sauce sucked, the cheese sucked and was very thin. The best thing about the pizza was the pretty box it came in.
«Better ingredients, Better pizza» Ha-​Ha-​Ha. Good one.
Addison has way too many real pizzerias which make real pizza and good pizza for this place to make it in this town. They may get the initial biz with the cheap discounted pricing but that won’t last. I would not get this thing that they pass off for pizza again. I would give it zero stars but Unilocal will not let you rate like that.
Go elsewhere.
