The Warehouse store at Canary Wharf is so shoehorned in a strip that includes Oasis and Dorothy Perkins that you can almost miss it. Unfortunately already crowded with large display units, it’s actually no pleasure to shop in, certainly between early November and the end of January, and any sale periods inbetween. And don’t forget the traditional Canary Wharf shopping bunfight of Friday lunchtimes. Having dealt with the bad, let’s move on to the good. The staff are helpful and polite, and happy to have a look for things for you, if you can’t see what you’re looking for. More popular items are shunted to the front of the shop, no doubt to guarantee some sales rather than risk customers being put off by shoving their way to the back of the shop. And having dissed the cramped layout, I actually like the large wooden table unit near the front of the store. I would say nine times out of 10, my purchases are from here Window displays are always good, with a nod towards the gothic.
