Gu Photography thrives in photograph genuine, everyday folks both in studio and on location. Operating from the heart of London and Manchester, we only utilise the best equipment, most talented people to create imagery that meet client brief time after time.

We are firm believers in fun, whilst working hard, we ensure clients, production crew and talents enjoy every minute of it. We work harder to take your stress away!

We have a tight production team, cutting quantity yet strengthening quality, so we are able to deliver exceptional results while operating in time, in budget. We deploy Profoto and Elinchrom lighting both in studio and on location, Hasselblad with Phase One digital backs, Nikon and Canon professional kit for action and video demand.

Our portrait service covers advertising, commercial, corporate, business, PR, album art and fashion portfolio. We are moving into private portrait sessions for engagement, family and pets, due to repetitive demand from existing clients.

History

Established in 2010.

Before the company was incorporated in 2010, I have been working as sports photographer for national newspaper and international publications, covering premiership football, Rugby, English Basketball League, World Cup Track Cycling and Ironman UK. Unsatisfied with the lack of creative control, I left photojournalism and set up as portrait photographer. Clients soon discovered my new found love and unique vision in creating striking portraits regardless the occasion. In less than 12 months, I have been fortunate enough working with The Law Society, C&I Group, Business Link, Manchester United FC, NHS, Selfridges, Martyn Joseph, Amy Wadge, Nathan Moore and many more. Now with bases in both Manchester and London, I am able to serve a great variety of clients, while loving every minute on the move, at pre-​production meetings, shooting and post edit.
