A unique British brasserie and bar from Marcus Wareing. Offering unique cockails and bar bites in the ornately chic bar and notsalic British dishes, modernised to suit todays palates, in the beautiful restaurant.
With a stunning Kitchen Table seating up to 10 guests in the kitchen this is definite must see. For those prefering a more private affair there is a tasteful private dining room for up to 12 guests.
A cocktail afternoon tea begins in September, Taking tea with George, in the bar and Sundays are long and lazy opening at 12 and finishing at 10pm.
History
Established in 2011.
Newly opened in May 2011, 138 years to the day that the Midland Grand Hotel (designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott) opened. The Gilbert Scott is Marcus Wareing’s first venture as a restaurateur whilst he remains chef patron at Marcus Wareing at The Berkeley. The Gilbert Scott sees Wareing’s protégé, Chantelle Nicholson, as General Manager.
