Searcy’s St Pancras Grand Restaurant and Champagne Bar

Such a cool place. The location is insane between the trains the gallery the light and the status. The champagne selection is impressive. The pip corn was horrid so they just removed it from our tab. Excellent customer service!

This place is so civilised. It’s all about the champers and the heady feeling it evokes.
Booking a table was easy peasy & my friends and I had a warm reception. I arrived a little earlier than the others, as is normal and was offered bar seating until my friends arrived. The wait staff were attentive without being intrusive. The spacing between the bar seating and dining is good and the place actually feels like you’ve boarded a posh train. I like it!
We definitely indulged in Champagne, oysters and various tasty starters. The menu had a great selection and it was nice to see smaller versions of several mains; good for those calorie counting.
We had a helpful and very bubbly service. The host also checked in on us.
The food was very good and everything was cooked well.
The only issue was the toilets. No doubt a cleanup is needed in there which is surprising considering the rest of the venue looks so good.
Overall, I liked it here and will return several times in the future.

Service is incredibly slow and seems to not favor young people. The duck confit is super disappointing, not your usual slab of duck meat but rather three small medallions of bits of duck. The fruit included with that appetizer was quite nice, however. The mash was delicious with some pepper. The Philly cheesesteak took forever to arrive and was only vaguely satisfying (flavors not particularly complex). The fries were quite good if a bit bland. The bok choy is pretty good, although you only get one head of it as a side, which is a bit cheap. Pricey for the quantity and quality, I recommend going somewhere when you’ve got time to kill at St Pancras and you’re hungry. Unless you want potatoes, in which case I highly recommend ordering a side of fries or a side of mash.

Do not and I mean do not go to the champagne bar outside and expect good service!
Rude servers, they do not deserve the right to be called bartenders!
They walked passed us 4 times, did not acknowledge us! Then treated us they were doing us a favor!
In our time in England, this has only been the worst service and experience.

I came here with friends after an already very boozy night out had taken a very flamboyant turn. We were in the area, knew that this place existed and thought «why the heck not?». They were about 40 minutes away from closing for the night when we arrived, but weren’t at all perplexed by our tipsy presence, in fact they seemed to find it quite charming and were all too eager to make our selected Champagne cocktails and bring them over to our table. Sure, this place is expensive, but so is Champagne, so what else do you expect? I’d say this place is more of a novelty to visit for a glass of bubbles before boarding the Eurostar than it is somewhere to come and knock ‘em back.
The one thing that got me was how quiet it was. Eerily so. Having no noise except the echoes of the surrounding station plunged me into an abyss, which set me to contemplating life over the rim of my Champagne glass, resulting in a rather sombre end to an otherwise fun and rowdy evening.
I’d recommend coming here at least once, but do it during the day when there are people and noise, and not a giant, gaping abyss waiting for you to stare into it so it can stare lovingly back…

We had a very intimate but bubbly evening, with excellent cava and curious bells at each table to ring for service!

I love it! My father, friends, and I had a wonderful experience! I definitely recommend Sebastian, he is wonderful. We walked up to the bar, and asked for the champagne we ALL had our eye on since 2012. They have a wide selection of champagne. Starting at 25 pounds up to 1,300 pounds. We chose the Ace Of Spades champagne. It was marvelous!!! Overall, it was a great experience. I loved it.

Sure, the champagne isn’t cheap, but champagne isn’t cheap anywhere.
Ultimately, no other champagne bar in London can beat Searcys old Hollywood glamour. The art deco features make you feel like you’re stepping back in time. Sit in a heated banquette booth in winter and pretend you’re about to head off to Paris on the next Eurostar. Or, if you’re like me, perch yourself at the bar itself and guarantee your champagne glass will always be topped up by the attentive wait staff. (This only works if you bought a bottle, of course.)
There’s a whole indoor restaurant that is equally glamorous, if not more so, than the outside area. But nothing beats the chin wagging and people-​watching you can do from the vantage point of your bar-​seated ivory champagne tower.
As far as food goes, everything I’ve ever had was excellent, but some items represented better value than others. The large meat and cheese platters had high-​quality items in abundance, at a snip (about £15-£18). The breakfast plates were tasty and of great quality, but one might balk at paying £7 for two poached eggs on a piece of brown toast. That is, if one wasn’t already tipsy from drinking champagne at 10am.
All in all, my favourite place to drink champagne in London.

Celebrated a successful day of sightseeing here with family. The staff are friendly and helpful. Service was good (a little slow for American standards but not bad for European standards).
Good menu selections. Food was prepared very well. Prices were on the high side but similar for other hotel/​tourist locations. Wine list is compact but has some good selections.
Manager was very nice and provided a staff person to take pictures for us. We had a very evening.

Service left a bit to be desired but I imaging they get a lot of turn over. Wait staff seemed more interested in hanging out chatting behind the bar than actually working. We had to signal each time we wanted anything.
Snacks were good as was the sparkling and the G&T.

I love this place, the beautiful building, décor, atmosphere etc. and yet every time I come to the restaurant/​coffee lounge area, the service and ‘couldn’t care less’ attitude of its staff lets it down. Things are slightly better across at the champagne bar so I may just visit there again. Today was the last chance however — just a basic coffee and croissant. What could go wrong? Coffee came quickly, croissant ten minutes later after I’d chased it up! Even when the manager gave me my change and I explained I didn’t want to pay the ‘discretionary service charge’ (which he had just assumed when he gave me my change) he didn’t even ask why. If this was the first time then I’d let it pass. It’s happened on every visit though. Sorry guys you need to step it up!

Had a wonderful meal here that was very much helped by the fantastic selection of scotch whisky. The leg of lamb was outstanding — as was the bone marrow starter. My wife had scallops that were perfectly prepared. Service started out slow — but got better. The woman that seated us was a real gem. I’d recommend this place wholeheartedly.

I confess, it’s not a regular tipple of mine but still, every now and then it’s a nice way to spend an evening (or afternoon).
I believe the bar is actually called Searcy’s but Grand Champagne Bar is a pretty good description of just what this place is about anyway. Plush looking with a central bar area and two long, narrow stems of seating reaching out from either side ensures that this bar covers quite an area. Service is available at the bar but table service is the norm here and the staff have been attentive in my experience.
Obviously the sparkly stuff is the order of the day here and they have it in abundance from prices as low as one could reasonably expect from a classy establishment all the way up to the bottles which may as well be marked ‘Are you having a laugh?’. Numerous nibbles as well as some cocktails are also available.
There is an inside bar here too, which I haven’t been in to yet, so expect a review update when this happens. This is more likely now that winter is blustering in and the platform/​outside (but not out-​outside) bar does get chilly. We left our coats on last time but it’ll only get more discomforting in the really wintry months.
Also, just a note on the service. Last time I was here, midway through a bottle a bill was dumped on our table and payment or a bank card for a tab was more or less demanded. Clearly quite disgruntled at being interrupted like this — it was done rather discourteously — apologies were forthcoming and complimentary snacks were also brought out after a brief remonstration but the act was more than a little unexpected. An equivalent would be inviting a person over to your house and then bringing the vacuum cleaner out when you’re done with them. We were reassured a little that it has become more of a standard practise for them as a number of customers have fled without paying their bill. Though I understand this and I’ll learn to be less affronted should it happen again, the situation could have been avoided if approached more tactfully. So now you know.
Aside from that one incident — proper lush!

There is something very glamorous about sipping champagne in William Henry Barlow’s Victorian «cathedral of the railways».
Located on the upper concourse of St Pancras Station, this place is stylish, sophisticated, and nothing like what you’d expect from a neighbor of the Eurostar. The sleek white table top bar and dining area are alluring– if not inviting. The bubbly itself is the reason for coming here, and they have a little something for everyone. Options range from the affordable £8.95 glass of Grande Tradition Brut to the forever extravagant £1500 bottle of Nebuchadnezzar Taittinger Brut Réserve. Most prices hover around £13.50 a glass and it’s worth every pound. The French 75 (cocktail consisting of Greenall’s gin, lemon juice topped with Champagne) was literally the best thing I’ve ever had and no place I’ve been to subsequently has been able to recreate it. Even well established cocktails bars which aren’t surrounded by extensive public transport.
The menu is clever and fitting, ensuring that you have the choice of lobster or caviar, luxurious French cheese, and smoked salmon. My only suggestion to them is adding scrambled eggs.
They have something called the Bubble Hour, which basically means some half priced flutes after 8pm. It’s almost enough to make you miss your train to Paris…

My mom and I arrived too early at St. Pancras to check in for our Eurostar back to Paris, and the station was crowded and there wasn’t a free seat to be found anywhere, so at first we thought we would grab a coffee or something, but since it was our last day in London we decided to splurge a little and have some champagne.
It ended up being a great idea, it was much quieter up in the champagne bar, so it made our wait feel more relaxing. We opted for glasses of the two cheapest champagnes, and even though they were the cheapest, they were still delicious. Yes, it may seem a little pricey, but honestly every thing in London is expensive and champagne in my hometown is very expensive, so keeping that in mind, it was almost a deal.
Overall I was very happy with our decision to choose champagne over coffee and vote for you to do the same!

This may be the bet gin cocktail I’ve had in London.
I was dubious about a champagne bar in the station, considering other things tried there have been… less than stellar, we shall say. But this was a wonderful surprise. Located on the second floor right next to resting trains (at least I think they were. The one next to us stayed stationary all night, making for great ambiance), comfortable seats around the bar, low-​lighting and surprisingly quiet for being where it was.
And the drinks were great. For about £7, I got a gin cucumber cocktail that was fantastic. Cold, smooth with just the right hints of cucumber. Yes.
I would come back here in a heartbeat. No question at all.

This is a fun way to start off your evening if you’ve got money to burn. I joined a few friends for a cheerful night out and we had a wonderful bottle of Champagne at the St Pancras Grand Champagne Bar. My only reservation is the cost, £99 for one bottle is quite a markup. I understand businesses need to make a profit however this is a bit on the extreme side in my humble opinion.
This is a fun place to make your own party and enjoy some nice bubbles but remember it’ll take some deep pockets y’all to keep the cheers flowing. This American Southerner enjoys a good glass of bubbly like most but at this price I could jump on the Eurostar and sip champagne in Paris for just a little more. Au revoir y’all and save up your quid if you’re gonna sip champagne by the train.

St. Pancras station is a wonderful piece of architecture, and this bar is cool because you can sit here and watch the Eurostars pulling up next to you.
It’s hardly ‘buzzing’ though, but worth a quick drink as a ‘different’ thing to do.

«The world’s longest champagne bar» I guess I should have figured that it wouldn’t actually be the entire bar, just the table and booths but I didn’t so I was a little disappointed.
We ordered a glass of the champagne of the day and it was good but nothing special and it was so cold that it distracted from the experience. There were heat lamps at some parts of the bar but the one above us was either broken or just turned off so we got no relief.
I am glad to say that I had a drink there but I wouldn’t be sad if I don’t get back there again. If you have some time to kill and don’t want to shop in the station, stop by for a glass. Otherwise — skip-​able.

Situated on the upper concourse of St Pancras station this is a great place to eat either side of a journey given its proximity to the Eurostar terminal and HS1 to Kent.
The interior is of old school station restaurant style, although it is not as grand as Paris’s Le Train Bleu in Gare de Lyon. The food is excellent if a little pricey, I always favour the steak burger which is about £15, and the service is great too. The size of the restaurant means that no booking is necessary.
