A reasonably priced chain pub with a good vibe. They have a good selection of beer on tap — plenty of ales including some local London beers. The house red was truly terrible but hey. The food menu is your standard pub grub with plenty of pictures showing vegetables boiled to death and pale chips however I didn’t try anything so don’t know the quality, quantity etc.

Good solid pub food with strong fish and chips. Service was very good. Won’t overwhelm you, but won’t disappoint, either.

A pub is a pub right, but the location of this pub in Mayfair allows for some of the best people watching corners in town! But as far as the pub goes, the bar is long enough so you dont really have to wait that long and there is plenty of seating inside and out. Standard london prices for drinks.

The Audley is a large, stylish Taylor Walker pub in Marylebone, not far from Hyde Park. Since it is part of a chain, the food and some of the drinks are the same as in every other Taylor Walker. The Audley is distinguished by its stylish décor and quiet, relaxed atmosphere in a busy part of London. The food is streamlined, but that doesn’t necessarily indicate that the quality of cooking is the same at all of the pubs. I have been to many different Taylor Walker establishments in and outside of London, and the selection is very much the same(down to the same printed pictures). At The Audley, I chose a «new» dish on the menu, the«Pastrami Burger»(see photo), with chips and burger sauce, plus optional onion rings. It was quite tasty, if not exactly hot when it arrived. The service at the pub was efficient rather than friendly, but as a single traveler who’s not a frequent patron you’re often treated like a pariah at London pubs anyway. The décor certainly justifies a visit, but since every second pub in the area appears to be a Taylor Walker nowadays, there’s plenty of very similar competition.

Food was very good but service not the greatest. It is worth a visit to try as it was recommended to me. I am not a huge fish and chips fan but this fish was good. Dining area was small. We went in around 6 pm and it was busy.

A few steps from the American Embassy in Mayfair, this pub was a welcome respite after mass. Hearty dish of bangers and mash, washed down with a pint of Guinness, was just right. Satisfying, no overkill. Followed by a Romeo & Julieta robusto. Perfect Sunday afternoon out.

They are good in a pub type of way, but stand by for somewhat disorganized service. The bartender kept putting a reserved sign on our table for the next guest and out served kept crumpling it up and throwing it away. Beer arrived too slowly but, it was good.

Looks all posh outside. Inside it’s like a proper olde worlde London pub… but then they have awful lift/trendy bar/hotel lobby music. Not bad. Wouldn’t catch me in there again. OH said the beer was awful — but it was Fosters.

The atmosphere is vintage but not that interesting. The restaurant is small and the bar is separate but about the same size. The service here is terrible. My family and I had to go up to the bar to order drinks and food each time because the waitress would not acknowledge us. The food was also boring – very typical bar food for a place so old. I thought it would be fancy but it was actually too casual. I got the chicken and mushroom pie: it was ok but nothing to write home about. Came here for the history, left thinking that this place was anything but historical in terms of it’s goodness.

Great place. I spent an entire afternoon and evening here. It’s comfortable and the staff was super nice charging my phone behind the bar. There is loads of natural light in the upstairs area and TV screens showin the news. The food is nice, maybe a bit pricy but hey, it’s Mayfair so should be expected. Downstairs is a separate room for events. It’s beautifully decorated with lush and comfortable furniture.

Visited this upscale pub on about a dozen occasions. Atmosphere is A+, food is very good and moderately priced(for Mayfair)’ and the clientele is electric. Dining upstairs is quieter and less frantic. A must while visiting.

Nice location, but let down by bar staff. Peroni tasted awful, flat and sour. Fed back politely. Got told by abrupt bar staff that«it’s fine, there’s bubbles in it» pint repoured in a huff(no option to swap brands) and served another customer before I had chance to say anything, zero eye contact, would have gladly taken anything else. Minor detail, but don’t bother stocking aperol if your staff can’t make a basic spritz because they can only sell prosecco in whole glasses«computer says no». Really? Extra star only for the lovely barmaid who first served me, otherwise… fail :)

It’s nestled nicely into the mansion blocks of Mayfair just off Park Lane. A medium sized boozer for this part of London, with all the traditional décor of a London pub that tourists will like high ceilings, lots of dark wood, panelling, big saloon bar style windows. But that’s it really nothing much else to say about the place it’s not crap, it’s not brill it’s just sort if average.

This place gets two stars(would give 4 for the décor). There’s so much about this place that could be so right. The interior is really old pub feel and quite ornate so top marks there. Now, the reasons I would never go back here. I like good music and don’t mind music in pubs unless it’s really bad. And it’s really bad in here. Cheesy pop played really loud. So that’s minus one star right there. Next, whilst the women bartenders had smiles, the guys were sour. When we ordered, the first bartender didn’t say thank you, didn’t smile. If you don’t want to work in customer service mr bartender if you’re reading, then working in a pub is not for you. So that’s another star minus. Now, when we went up to the bar and ordered the second round(which we shouldn’t have but a friend just joined and she was drinking slower than us), same exact order was £1.20 more. What the??? If had been me ordering, I would have asked for a receipt, but the other half put the order in. So that’s another star minus. Would I go back here? Only if it was pouring down rain and I needed a place to duck into.

Your mileage will definitely vary. This is an English pub for the Americans at the local embassy.(See where I’m going with this now) It’s got incredible décor, the traditional London favourites slowly curling under the heat lamps and a mixed clientele the biggest half wit of which(and potentially of London too) is sharing a table with me. Clearly care in the community struggles round here. The price are reasonable and, when it’s raining as now, I would have no problem in sheltering here again.

Love the chandeliers, candles and woodwork. This place has a great atmosphere of prosperity. Nice ale as well. The staff are attentive and friendly. Worth a visit if you’re in the neighbourhood!

Busy on this weekday at lunchtime with slow service, but décor does impress. Enough British items on the menu, including the famous Fish & Chips and Cod & Chips which 3 in our party liked quite well. Tempted by the hot foods in the display case(incl. bangers & mash and block meat pies), sis & I ordered the Mini Pie & Pastry Platter £11.79. 4 different, small pies of mostly crust, a side of peas and good chips(Fries). OK flavor, but over-priced($ 18.40). A pint of cold Strongbow cider went down well £3.90.

I followed our group albiet a little behind to this place about 4 blocks from Grovesnor House. After a long week of work out in the countryside, we wanted to relax for an evening. So we came here. The place was well attended by our group and other local. So it was a bit crowded. The servers were very gracious fighting through the humanity despite the faces. The bartenders were quick in getting ales. Hey this was a large group. So my first night with a English ale. This place has a nice selection, of course I tasted them all. The food was good but a bit different. They serve late, 10PM and with a little bribing just a bit later for chips. Like I said good natured service. There is a pool hall downstairs though only one table. It was good place for my first London experience. The second night reveled a tempting chocolate delight. Weekends they stay open just a half hour longer until 11:30.
