This is my favourite park in London. It’s intimate, charming and filled with beautiful trees and flowers against the backdrop of the atmospheric and gothic St. Giles church. Come Spring, the garden is at its best — the cherry blosson comes out, the squirrels play and the tress bloom. I am often over-awed by how picturesque and peaceful the little park is. It’s never too full, and will often just be occupied by a few people and their blankets, reading and lazing in the sun. This garden is one of the reasons I love Camberwell so much — it makes me feel as though I have some of the benefits of living in a village, whilst being firmly in the city — the perfect combination in my opinion.
