This deli Is simply fantastic! And The tiramisu is some of the best I’ve had. Customer service is genuine and they really seem to have a passion for fine foods.

A nice little Italian deli run by Portuguese! Go figure. Part from that, you’ll get good service and a vast range of delicious Italian grub to feast your eyes on.

Used to treat myself to lunch here when I worked in Parson’s Green. Always reliable food wise. The funniest thing about this place is that I heard all the staff are actually Portuguese, but turn it on with all the Italian slang behind the counter — respect.

Decent assortment of Italian food products but prices are unreasonably high! This would get more stars but sorry the prices are simply not justifiable especially when you know they can be elsewhere at a fraction.

Fresh off a recent holiday to Italy, I stopped in for some authentic Italian fare to ease myself back to the normal routine at home. This shop has a great variety and a great atmosphere.

Down from 4 stars. Had the mushroom risotto last week for lunch and it was watery and a little disgusting! :(Emilia’s does good lunch-time food, my favourite being the mushroom risotto and custard tart. The staff members are friendly and chatty too. You’ll never walk in without a ‘Ciao bella’, unless of course, you’re not a bella(They’re not Italian btw). They stock a wide array of interesting snacks and goodies. The only reason this deli does not get 5 stars from me is the fact that they do not display any prices, so if you are unlucky enough to take too much food, or pick something expensive unknowingly from the deli /salad bar, you’ll be in for a little shock. Always ask before committing.

This is THE Italian deli for sweet and savoury treats to snag for dinner or a picnic. Takeaway containers are secure and adorable, perfect for posh nosh in the park or a homemade meal you didn’t feel like sweating over for hours. The wine selection is impressive, as is the deli-style spread of cheeses and meats. It’s not cheap, but you’re in Parsons Green, what do you expect? Homemade gooey lasagna ready for a brief oven blast, the most succulent roasted chicken imaginable, and hearty soups. Don’t even get me started on the panna cotta. It’s like crème brûlée’s much hotter cousin. The tiramisu is to die for, too. For less dairy-inclined folk, there are usually sweet breads and muffins. An antipasto buffet priced by weight with sardines, artichoke hearts, brine-soaked olives, and caprese salad has been my dinner many a night. Insider tip: all the shop-keepers I’ve met are Portuguese. Throw out an «obrigado» and maybe they’ll give you a break on the cheese.

It’s hard to differentiate all these delis — to be honest they often stock similar products and charge the same sort of expensive prices to the same sort of clientele. True to form Emilia’s sells nicely selected fruit and veg, well made little pots tiramisu, homemade ice cream, takeaway pastas, soups and risotto as well as bread, wine, lemoncello and the ubiquitous cheeses and hams. It’s all really good and there’s a nice small time homemade feel about everything. Emilia herself can also rustle up dishes on request if you want to cheat your way through a dinner party or are just picky and don’t want anything already prepared. Either way, the staff are great and utterly welcoming to new and regular customers.
