I had a great breakfast, errr very late lunch at this café. The waiter dealt with my friend’s and my stupidity without qualms. Yes, I had to send back my dish b/c I forgot the difference between scrambled eggs and fried. Yes kids, it was that kind of night. The meal was good and moderately priced. But then again, it was just eggs and toast. The girl next to me ordered pasta and it looked delicious as well. I’m giving them an extra star just for putting up with our sh*t…

This place has a really lovely interior and a great selection of authentic Italian produce. However, whilst the food is great, the portions are not good for the prices. Most of the breakfast menu comes with a completely lacklustre, tasteless sour dough. The staff are friendly and have a great attitude but the service is slow… Everything we ordered came with an apology for it being late. We were told at one point that item we asked for was not available because the person in charge of beverages was new and did not know how to make it. We ordered a cheaper item instead. I detect a lack of attention to staff training and stock. It’s a shame this place is let down by its value and service. It is local to us and I would love a good place to go for breakfast on weekends when I don’t want to cook. I would return to buy some of their imported items but I don’t think I’ll be visiting to eat again anytime soon.

Not my favourite. The service is slow at this laid back delicatessen. The breakfast menu is a little too Italian gourmet for my taste. They were out of croissants and there was no maple syrup available for the French toast.

Bön Bön is a smart and welcoming Italian delicatessen on Wandsworth Bridge Road. Immediate pluses are the small wooden veranda outside, the 1920s music playing softly in the background and best of all, free Italian sweets on the counter — woohoo! I had a filled baguette, which was broadly average on the value and taste stakes. In other words, for now… A-OK.
