Good dinner for a fair price. So definitely not the worst place to go. If you want to chat a bit while waiting and eating, you might find it a bit loud(music and other people talking). But I think it’s not much worse than at many other places.

let me put it this way: the first time i went here was on a date. a Chef actually brought me here and my respose was ”youre trying to impress me … and you took me here??” it was all just so so. and their Béarnaise sauce(which i generally believe is a gift from the gods), had no flavor. like i think they just sprinkled in a few bits of parsley. eh. and then the pudding… no wow factor. second time was for lunch. the other half and i needed a place with Free WiFi(which is unlocked … BTW so if you need internet and are in the area…). starters were ok. the chicken quesadillas were actually pretty good, but after that… eh. i kind of kicked myself for even giving it that second try. and the service both times… sigh. left much to be desired.

Please don’t go here for a special meal, it will just disappoint. There is nothing actually wrong about this place apart from the more than relaxed service. If your food is disappointing, please don’t tell me as you’re passing me the plate. I know you think it’s friendly banter but it’s not. It’s rude, I’m actually paying for this meal and now you’ve said it’s sub standard I kind of don’t want to eat it. The food was actually lovely, although they were missing a few items off the menu. Just a shame about the service.

This is a nice little place tucked away in Soho with a good lunch time menu. The setting is nice, the toilets are nice and the staff are very nice. Food wise, as that’s why you’re reading this, I have to say it was a top meal. I started with Eggs Benedict which I had had before in New York and wasn’t to fond off but I gave it another shot and it was lovely. Very well cooked and presented, a treat to eat. The Main Course was a minute steak(good size) with fries(the thin kind, yum yum) with a devine bernaise sauce. Desert was a Cheesecake which was a good flavour but was a bit to mousse for my liking. Not bad but I woulnd’t count it as a cheese cake. All in all this place is a must visit if you want a nice spot of lunch but also I can say their full menu looked pretty lush too.

Had the £15 for 3 courses and a bellini menu and it wasn’t bad at all for the money! Staff were friendly and very efficient. Only grumble is that we were sat at the back of the restaurant(with the christmas parties — not an issue for most of the year obviously!) the front half of the restaurant appeared far more cosy but I guess that may be preference to the people eating from the main menu. But for the location not bad at all, nice and cheap meaning there was money left for cocktails down the road!

Boulevard is designed very well and it’s menu looks great but I’ve dined here a few times and I’m yet to be very impressed. Unlike others I’ve always found the service quite friendly and pleasant. On my last visit a waiter did a very good job of flirting with everyone, male or female and he seemed to have a real attention to detail. However, the food here is very overpriced for what you get. My Asian Chicken Broth was fairly tasteless and consisted of strips of chicken breast sitting in some watery vegetable stock. I was very disappointed because for £12 I’d been expecting a lot more. My friend had gone for the burger, £10.50 and although she enjoyed it a lot, her mammoth portion of fries were very greasy. I’ll probably return to Boulevard because for some reason I want it to be so much better than it is. However, maybe next time I’ll stick to a few of the safer menu options.

We dined at Boulevard in the summer. The menu attracted us, even though we thought some of it sounded a bit too pricey when compared to places such as Balans nearby. There was a wide variety of steaks and fish and we wanted to see how they have changed the venue from The Dome that inhabited it before. Overall the place hasn’t changed much, in fact if anything it’s lost some character. The bar area is immediately in front of you and they serve some very good wine and cocktails. The seating area circles the bar though we were initially offered a tiny table by the stairs even though the place was half dead. Have to say the service wasn’t great. Found the staff to be a bit too surly and uninterested which when you’re spending over £10 a meal doesn’t make you want to return. The steak i had was very well done and brilliantly presented, as was my friends dish. Unfortunate, then, that my only real memory of the place was the bad service.
